      Maybe there was a mastermind, but it wouldn't be Noisia without 3 of them. Group dynamics and cooperation workflows really did wonders. The whole DnB scene is a giant pool of producers cooperating and sharing tips and it's what makes its strenght.

    • @LawrenceAaronLuther
      @LawrenceAaronLuther 4 месяца назад +2

      I wonder...With Martijn and Thys it's quite hard to tell what their "Noisia artistry" was like because their solo work split off it quite different directions that make it harder to connect the dots, unlike Nik who is quite unmistakeable in his sound both in the group and solo. But I tend to agree with you, espcially considering the Armajet soundtrack also seems like it was mainly Nik producing with the others consulting.

    I remember hearing that bass in a studio BTS/tour years ago while Nik was working on a new tune during the recording - then a good while later hearing it in Running Blind, and over a decade later it's still an absolute banger. That earliest rendition is VERY BC-esque, it would be delightful to hear a VIP with that original variation and the other elements included somehow. Cheers for uploading 🤘😎🤘

    Speaking of Bad Company (f*cking legends, I adore their music), they used to do a nice little thing in their tunes that I never hear nowadays in dnb.
    I am not music producer so pardon my layman's way of describing it.
    In BC tunes there were a lot of quite subtle switch ups in breaks, hi hats an d other percussion elements.
    I used to love it, I still do!
    Such a nice little touch, but it gives so much dynamic and character to their tunes!

      That’s why those tunes will still be played in another 20yrs time while I know jump up “producers” that are bored with their tunes after a week😂
      Stagnant beats and baselines created with a mouse so have no feeling

    As a dedicated Noisia fan who's spent a lot on their music and shows, I'm baffled by their choice to use Patreon. It seems to exploit the most devoted fans, milking those who've already invested so much into the group. This strikes me as particularly odd for accomplished musicians with millions of Spotify plays, who are also record label managers and party organizers. If the goal is to share knowledge and assist others, this content should be made more inclusive.
    The principle behind offering tutorials is commendable, and the stories behind the tracks are fascinating, but the execution falls short of the quality expected from Noisia. I recall Thijs, during a Twitch stream with Colin Benders, stressing the importance of professionalism when there were technical issues. This level of professionalism seems to be missing here, notably when the project starts incorrectly due to an oversight with the toms-an error that should have been fixed. It's not just about fixing mistakes; it's about respecting the paying audience's expectations for quality.
    If the intention is to maximize profits, then the quality must also be optimized. No one wants to pay for content where it appears the instructor hasn't adequately prepared their lesson. This doesn't meet the high standards Noisia has set over the years, and it's disappointing for fans who have supported them throughout their career.
