Snippy lived for 4 years she always had a few medical problems and will always have a special place in ours hearts. We did everything we could to make her happy and comfortable. RIP Snippy.
Bernice Danahay We took in a baby hare after the mother got killed and I decided to keep him, i love having him as a pet but I sometimes worry that I’m not doing everything right because there isn’t much information about having pet hares, do you have any advice? People say just treat it like a rabbit?
That's cool! Never thought you could have a Hare as pet! They are really shy animals by nature and they are the happiest when it's dark as it's only then they get active.
Not true. I have a pet Hare and it's quite active during parts of the day and will lounge out in the open to sleep. I also have a lop ear free ranging and they often sleep within a foot of each other by choice.
@@bunwithgun1587 I've had the lop ear for 4 years. The Hare was being chased by a cat and when I yelled at the cat it froze and I picked it up when it was chip monk size back the end of July. So I've had them both together for 4 months now.
@@bunwithgun1587 most of the time. Sometimes I can't tell if they are playing or fighting. Most of the time they just find a spot to lounge out in close to each other. The Hare is faster and can go places the lop ear can't so they can get away from each other.
We got Petey as a rescue...but in the mornings, he races around the first floor and I call it the Petey 500....he is burning off the energy stores in his body...then he can sleep in the daytime, and ROCK at night.
@PogChamp! i've had rabbits that only lived 4 years but i currently have two rabbits that are 7 years old and 6 years old as of now. smaller breeds tend to live longer than the larger ones, by a lot. there might be some exceptions to that, for instance, that purebred animals tend to have more health complications due to inbreeding. in my experience dutch rabbits live the longest but i've heard of other people having bunnies for longer, but it varies on breed and health problems. also! female rabbits have a 80% chance of getting ovarian cancer so it's imperative that you get it spayed if you want it to live a long life! it's probably best to neuter your male rabbits as well but i know for female rabbits it's really important to get them fixed as soon as you can! hopefully that wasn't too long lol
Amazing. I moved to the Netherlands recently, and I have started seeing Hares up close for the first time, they're majestic, beautiful and bloody fast. I am amazed to see one binky on a bed, looks great. I would love to know more about the story of the Hare, if you have the time.
Sam Firth Theres a good documentary available about the connections of the hare to the old mythology here in Ireland.. there was a goddess whose physical form was that of a Hare.. Ill try and get you a link to it
Hares are such beautiful creatures. Sadly the nearest I got to one was the dead one of the side of the road, looked like it was hit by a car. I took a photos but I'd rather have a photo of a living hare.
@@antsfinland2760 I don't know, I have rabbits at my house and they are just nicer, that was the old me from like 9 months ago. I have changed alot, I just like rabbit's better because cuter, its my opinion, sorry if I sounded like annoying or just an insensitive person.
What a splendid bunny ... Yeah it's a hare but when they're this darn adorable.. they are bunnies and family members. Such an adorable display of happiness and haming it up..
What a majestic creature, I didn't think you could keep them as pets! Rabbits are my favourite animal in the whole wide world, this little thing is so beautiful! I like her big beautiful eyes like little gem stones!!!!
@@madwhitehare3635 Yeah, I know. It's a hare. My rabbit was my greatest friend ever. I used to snuggle up to her in my bed when I was a teenager and kiss and stroke her ears, neck, back and face! She just love my affection and she used to lick me in return, I used to hand feed her dandelion leaves and fruit and veg too!
No the human is making the squeaks, which is the same sound a injured and distressed hare or rabbit would make so the hare is freaking out because it thinks there's a predator threat nearby. Not surprised it only lived 4years, it probably died of trauma
Amazing creatures, so wonderful you had a relationship with one. we see them rarely on the country road we live on (one every two years) I find the way they move (walk) across the road a little scary almost. But also think they are a real 'spirit' animal.
Lol biiig biiig diference between rabbit and hare... rabbit is really realllyyy slow and likes to be pet... but hare is really wild LOL :D Crazy little animal ... also very fast
Nice. I got my second hare. Another female. She is also an amazing pet. I am the (male) mommy. Youngsters always hang around with mommy if they re near.
Omgoodness what a fun silly awesome pet. I absolutely do not like bunnies, it's a strange phobia but hares? I love! And bigger size bunnies are good too.

Lil cute scootin hare! XD
They are so full of joy and life. Binkys are truly a wonder to see ❤️🐇🐇
Such an elegant animal
Turns out she isn't happy or exercising, it's that whistling noise you're making is driving her nuts.
How wonderful. This video made me so happy to watch. Fantastic! How Beautiful a creature!

A happy animal, well done
Lots and lots of binkies!
This was HILARIOUS!!
There's nothing more delightful than watching a hare go mad.
Finally, the most important question answered: “Is S/he neither HARE nor there ?”
. . .
You can't tell she is so fast
It drank coffee.
The bed is too hot for her feet.
the period makes this funnier lmao
So cute and so sorry she passed 😥🐰🙏

I thought the little guy was a belgian hare at first, but nope. This guy's an ACTUAL hare.
That's one happy hare :)
Beeps and cheeps. Bouncy spins. Many times rabbit. :)

321scully take a trip a arizona for a weekend. There's a couple hare hotspots around my town and I'll find them there for sure 🙏🙏🙏
Yeh but rabbits are better
@@MrWolfYTP Why are they better?
Here where I live we got a sh&t load of hares that are semi used to people so I can get like 10 meters distance before they run away

Seems the March Hare had a little to much tea at the Mad Hatter’s tea party
I’d be forever on guard for that mid air roundhouse
How cute! I saw a hare today while walking my dogs. It kept coming closer and closer until it got scared of the dogs and ran off

Hey look hazel is getting some exercise
Seems like hares have a more outgoing personality than rabbits...
Very gigantic hare
This looks more like you're imitating the sound of a snake and the hare is getting scared from it
What a happy rabbit
Wow! Hare binkies are way bigger than bunny binkies! So cute.
what a strange squirrel
