They can travel on the imaginary tree tho they can’t affect it. In HI3rd I agree most of characters are high hyper with Hilbert space theory and quantum mechanics from schrondinger tho some reach outer tier like Hofi , Kevin with AoF , Otto false god and HoO ( not sure ) all with the cocoon which can affect part of the tree which has aleph-2 numbers inside which means outer + lvl + all the others physics, mathematics law etc with it.
