Version SE 2022.
I've clicked on the Set Relationships icon in Sketch tab.
I've padlocked on the dimension to make it the driving value.
I've tried both unticking and ticking design intent boxes
I used Design Intent Advanced, and even changed to Suspend all design intent settings
The message I get: Dimension cant be changed. Try changing the design intent .
Still not able to change a dimension
Any ideas ?

Change dimensions via variables menu - smart dimensions are only driven, not driver variables. (who came up with that cruelty of dimensional editing invariance ! :)

These really need narration to more fully explain what is going on.
This did not resolve the error for me. My settings are exactly as shown here. This bug appeared out of nowhere after modeling just fine for hours. Also, I can not create a new line then attach it to anything using the connect function. It says the line has conflicting relationships but I know it doesn’t because I can drag it manually. Now I have to scrap it and start over in Solid Works. I spend more time fighting bugs in Solid edge than actually modeling and I’m dine with it. Its garbage.. Its behavior is erratic and unpredictable.
If you are a SolidWorks user, working in the Ordered environment should be familiar to you

Hello, have you lock dimension in Smart Dimension Driving?
