    I love these.
    Any suggestions for puppeteers new to silicon on materials/equipment? Or better yet books, videos or teaching resources?
    Thanks!

    Did you use clay to make the mold of the slug before the plaster?

    I need to make something like this. Thanks for an insight on this. Although I won’t be doing animatronic. So hopefully it will be slightly easier.

    Super cool video! I’m trying not o learn how to make stop motion puppets and I think I can scale this down to make poseable figures.

      Thanks! You would have to figure out how to put an armature inside... We prefer to use a human hand :)

    Hey! I was thinking of getting a silicone version of my puppet, I can't sculpt so what if I wrapped my existing puppet and made a cast of that, that could work right?

    What type of paint do you use on silicone?

    What sort of airbrush paint does one need to use for Silicone and does the paint need a further thin layer of Silcone on top of the paint as a seal? Many thanks!

    Can you slush pour silicone in to a head mould?

    • @SlugBrothersBTS
      @SlugBrothersBTS  3 года назад +1

      It would have to be pretty runny to do a slush pour. Thinning the silicone down that much might cause issues with it curing. That's why we use a chip brush.

    What did you use to mix the silicon

      We just used some crappy dowels and solo cups from the dollar store. But you could just go to a hardware store and grab some free paint stir sticks.
