Words to think on!! I am open minded and understanding. But I must also seperate myself from Things that i almost allowed to completely destroy me. Example if there's alcohol involved I will completely detach and not out of judgement. Its not welcome in my home or in my heart and therefore I will not submit my presence in its presence. I am finding later in life separation is more about my peace and if it is viewed as judgment so be it. Life is about becoming stronger, wiser , and Better. Its not a popularity contest !! Even with that being said i could try a bit harder to allow connection!! Its easy to accept a person without labels but they tend to expect you to except there labels not there being!! Anyway Happy December to you and as always keep going WE GOT THIS !!!
Great reflection, Bradley. Thank you for sharing your perspective. I always appreciate reading your thoughts. It is wonderful that you relate my videos to your own experiences. I am humbled. When others have poor or destructive habits, we must try to feel compassion for them without judging them. There is often some past trauma that has led a person down a path of self-sabotage (e.g., alcohol or drug abuse as a means of coping with childhood trauma). We accept them in spite of everything, and then we help them to heal. That is what a therapist or a good friend does. It reminds me of the parable of the Prodigal Son. We got this, Bradley! ๐ฆ๐ท
I have been a victims of gaslighting and othersโ would start rumors of me possibly and most likely because I pertain to the LGBTQ community. I am now standing up for myself and would love to be a black belt and a sensei one day.
I felt every syllable of what you said. I know exactly the feeling of being known and understood and appreciated without judgment and getting to know someone else, setting aside the "right" to judge. It is beautiful and freeing to think of someone and say, "Whatever she says or doesn't say, whatever she's done or left undone, whatever aspirations she has or doesn't have, she is fine, she lives for herself, not for me, but I have the privilege of being a witness. I accept her as she is, not as she might be, or as she might have been, or as I thought she might be---but as she actually is". Freed from a list of expectations and judgments people are so much more beautiful and they can bloom in their own way, like they feel led to bloom. ๐ซถ
Perfectly stated. Thank you, Jeremy. ๐ผโจ โNothing you become will disappoint me; I have no preconception that I'd like to see you be or do. I have no desire to foresee you, only to discover you. You can't disappoint me.โ ~Mary Haskell
