He was shocked midway through the story, and when Yoshida tried to pin all the blame on him, but not because he doesn’t got guts. It’s because his ex boss was insulting the client’s president without knowing. Keiichi knew that the chief is done for good, because he angered her significantly. Wonder what happened to the other president due to losing the deal due to Yoshida’s decision of firing Keiichi for saving the client’s president.

Treat the homeless man with the same respect as the CEO. This was common teaching in the depression and post-war eras. However, in the current era, it's not even a thought to most. I can elucidate further on why, but... it's better to find out on one's own. Don't take my word on it. I could probably write an anecdotal book on why this was so common just from my interactions with people who went through that time, we as a society did a very poor job of listening to the wisdom of age.

I once helped my coworker who collapsed right in front of me. I was the only one to help, many people just stood around and didn’t do anything, even my manager told me to “get back to work and leave him.”
I helped my coworker, he’s fine now, and left the company later that week. I refuse to work for a company that prioritized work over human safety.

Sadly, there are some people who are that evil irl because of their insane selfishness and greed and ignores peoples lives and some are using them as tools and make them worked to death.
I like this version of Keiichi. He's not afraid to call out Chief Yoshida for ignoring someone's life because of work to the point that he violate their vision and mission of their medical device company. And he's the opposite of his typical self to confront him and he quits because that company is toxic.
No matter what the consequences even if you lost your job or a lot money or a friend who is too selfish not to help other people, the lifes of people are the most important in society. Saving them especially when they're in danger that can possible lead to death. Chief Yoshida lose the vision and mission of their company especially their company is related to medical devices to save people's lives. And he broke that most important mission as an employee. The worst part is, among all the people that he ignored, it was Yui, the president of the company that he ignored when she's in danger. He can't blame Keiichi anymore nor saving himself from this. He should be glad that they let him resign instead of getting fired through disciplinary actions and he only find toxic companies who are worse than him. That's where he belongs, a toxic employee! Serves him right! As Yui became attached to Keiichi who is a great employee who follows the company's vision and mission of their medical devices as he became her secretary and her favorite.

And I agree about saving lives but the main issue is whether those "lives" are in real danger or they're just pranking or faking you; not only that but even if you do save lives another issue is that people instead of praising you would insult and label you as a criminal or even a rapist especially for touching an opposite sex just for saving them, so a lot of people are hesitant to save others not because for themselves for their family's sake.

Yeah, if something like this go out on Internet, I bet Chief Yoshida will be destroyed by netizens. Kinda shows a difference between a worker with passion and a worker who only works for money and status.

This is a good story, It's nice to be reminded of the past and remenice the good old days were chivalry and kind exists, As in today's world it's hard to help someone in trouble as they (the supposed in trouble person) may ruin your life just for helping out.
As I've experienced it myself helping out a woman who had slipped entering the train but got accused and was brought out to the police station for being a creep and molesting a person, seriously!!!? thankfully my good people had my back that day and testifying against the rude and crazy woman and was arrested. Many things happen I got compensation from suing her and she was later banned on that railway company and other public transportations like buses and river ferries, though only banned on the government operated transits.

I love that Keiichi had shown assertiveness in this situation halfway, but he also knows when to be passive as well. The encounter he had with Yoshida after he had quit was more observing, and he was watching with his mouth to the floor. He knew he was watching an obliteration when he started to insult Yui, and an obliteration it was. Yoshida tried to pin all the blame on him, but too bad reality sunk in, as instead of fighting back, they fought him with a completely different fight than what he prepared for. He wasn’t expected a fight between morals, which he accidentally set himself up as she slammed him.

Well, I think that this is one of the Yui who have had one of the best versions of sato, confident, decisive, with a great work ethic and let's not even talk about that conflictive personality when it is necessary to tell the truth, it is not surprising because Yui's father He gave him such a position at the end in a few minutes that he spoke, it made him have an excellent impression, on the other hand it is not surprising because Yui fell in love with him, I honestly think they will make a perfect couple in the future xD

I, more than once, lost a job for being late due to helping someone in need. The last time, while they were still barking at me, the person I helped came in to thank me. She heard what was going on and warned them that if I got fired she would have it on the five o'clock news, she had a relative there. That is however the best thing that has ever happened, for all the people I've helped most times i never even got a thank you. But that is the world today

"It doesn't matter what kind of person they are when it comes to saving a life"
Ironically, this was the idea of a Chinese man who saved a woman's life in a similar situation using CPR. As a sign of gratitude, she charged him with SA, won, and cost thousands of lives since nobody wanted to take the risk.
Red Cross stepped in and established the Good Samaritan Act that now protects people performing CPR from getting charged.

I think neither Keichi nor Chief Yoshida were wrong. They both had acceptable reasons. But for Keichi, he shouldn't have gotten angry at Chief Yoshida for what he did... Keichi should have chosen whether to help the lady but receiveng the consequence for not attending the meeting or asking someone nearby to help the lady and coming to the meeting. Someone in managerial position should know how to make decisions which are not affecting the company financially. However, I'm glad that Keichi isn't naive by leaving the company for what he believes.

Corrupt manager is giving a lot of sinister vibes there. Honestly, he's a hidden monster underneath, and a psychopath as well.
