I love how genuine your videos are, no screaming, no clickbait, no extravagance, just a man doing what he loves
It is tempting to scream a bit sometimes 😆
I feel like I've seen this same exact comment on another video. The one where he makes the aluminum foil ball.
@MoldyUrinal yeah when he hurt his finger
yeah they made this exact same comment lol
For real, its a nice break
This is what youtube was meant to be used for
Love hearing that!! 😄🙌🏻
Yes so true
cant be more right this is so true
YESSS!
Yes i very much agreeeeeeee!!!
13:26 “painting skills limited” Also him:
Connor always popping the amazing art after saying '' my limitted skills '' haha a true artist much love
I agree
8:35 wasted somuch powder
@empirepreciouspokemonbro he picked it back up, relax. 😭
@bluejoji2474 I know right!
Its because he actually puts effort into what he does. So many people say they're not good at something so don't try at all
Those paintings were actually really good.
Yeah
Yeah No doubt
They rock 😂😂😂
Yummers
Fr
I feel like Connor’s videos could be shown to classes. So light hearted and informative as always
I do get a few comments from teachers and stuff saying they’ve showed them to their class! 🙌🏻😄
I honestly think Connor is one of the most wholesome RUclipsrs ever...
Amen 🙏
Fr
I agree!!!!
Agreed
😄🤗
Along with gum arabic, other mediums to consider trying is egg yolk or milk; they are among the earliest mediums used. Along with rocks for pigment, try using plant and animal parts, too. Lastly, natural pigment usually change hue or chroma from sun exposure, so display the art, and store the paints, somewhere without direct sunlight.
are thnere any honey replacements?
@YourLocalScratchLover I never heard of a honey paint, but it's sometimes used with watercolor to weaken the water's surface tension.
@Not-AiQube-Squaredsugar, corn syrup
I was wondering how much more color he could get if he added beats, tumeric, or blueberries to the mix. I guess beats are a little more expensive than rocks so it's not exactly free the way this one is, but it's pretty close!
I read this thing in like fifteen seconds
His painting skills are sooooooo good❤
glad you think so! 😊 thank you!!
You can use fruit and other plants to make paint as well. And a lot of unexpected things like eggshells. It’s amazing how many colors of paint nature can provide.
Awesome! That’d be fun to try next!
maybe you could find some ores of transition metals, presumably some are soft enough to work and some are very colorful
oh or you could react copper, iron, and other metals which could probably make a fine precipitate. for iron i think you’d want it reduced not oxidized, oxidized would be more of the same colors, tho perhaps more vibrant, while reduced can be dull blue, green, or gray. copper could give a more vibrant blue or green when oxidized.
@morgan0bro is an inorganic chemist
really appreciate that you didn’t show the final thing in the beginning. i enjoyed the whole process way more.
I’ve been trying to do that less when I edit it actually! So thanks for noticing 🙌🏻😄
Yes, I enjoy the process
this guy deserves more then 479k subscribers, this is 100% what RUclips was meant to be used for
No but fr tho, if RUclips was filled with more of this type of content, maybe RUclips would be better
Your videos are always a great reminder to just do stuff, have fun, and enjoy nature and creativity.
Thanks! That’s exactly what I try to do!
@itsConnorCreates hiiiii
The video is unique and peaceful, no loud shouting no nothing,love that!!
Thank you 🤗
Same
I dont like the editing,i wish it was raw
I agree
The first paintings looks so professional to be painted with just rocks.! They all turned out so good
Thanks!! 🙏
I feel like you could maybe use this dust with a bit of added water to make a cool colored dorodango since yours broke. Would be really cool!
Those paintings rock!
I see what you did there
@darkmad00 Finally someone sees!

THE BEST CONTENT CREATOR EVER, Connor your the RUclipsr that I have been finding for 5 years, the RUclipsr that is very creative and also uploads rapidly
Dang that's so kind, thanks for the support! 😊🙌🏻
I also love this channel
I'm an artist, and after struggling to find the colors I wanted of metallic paint I wanted, I started making making my own paint too. I used mica pigments I found on Amazon, but a part of me really wants to go hunt for rocks and other materials and make it truly from scratch.
Il have a painting posted to my ytshorts this upcoming week that used the first paint I made, and when I'm done the next one on my docket, every flower will be painted with a variation of pink pants I've already made. I'm just struggling a little with my other materials or it would be further along...
(Shhhhh I've not told anyone but the "paper" I'm using for the petals is literally just very thin sheets of literal wood; if only it weren't so darn brittle!)
Great video, and if you want to try it again, perhaps a finger mesh and I found my muller on Amazon for like $10 CAD. I'd wait for the tariff bs to die down before bothering though. Nothing will be under a bajillion dollars until that happens. Sorry, from a friend from the north!
Your kid is so lucky to have you as a dad! Where was this type of stuff when I was a kid?
those paintings look so good man!
Appreciate it! 🙏
11:49 I like that the paint has the same colour as your hat.

Aaayy honoured you think so!! 😄
11:24 those colours looks kinda nice
Yea they do
omg I LOVE this so much I had a genuine big smile of how much you had fun and how it's such a weird yet creative project I wanna do it too! you even got me thinking how can I make other colors like blue or red or green but from nature
I’m so glad you loved it! It was such a fun experiment! Yeeess I like the way you think 🙌🏻
Hey connor! i know this was 9 months ago but a little tip is to wash the rocks before you grind them! it gives you a easier way of getting the rock dust paste early,it also cleans the rock so germs dont get in especially if you try to inhale it..😁
That's a great tip, thanks for sharing! 😄
Connor, you have a great community
I think so too! 😄 very grateful!!
@itsConnorCreatesalso Connor if you're still interested in raising a real monarch, there are plenty in New Zealand. I had a few lay some eggs on my swan plant and they eventually became butterflies!
Connor is so good at building creating and drawing/painting

12:23 ‘LIMITED?’ Apart from the colours, those paintings were incredibly well done and beautiful Connor! I did art classes for 3 years a few years ago and I couldn’t paint like that now! Well done! ❤
hi snooka
Absolutely amazing. Who knew? Thanks for sharing your experiment. I thought your paintings turned out really good - especially with your limited color palette.
Thank you so much! 😊
I really love wacthing the gold panning version 😊
Thanks so much!! That was a fun one!
You should turn all different materials into paint😊
That’d be fun to try!
rocks are so fire that they can be turned into paint
True dat!
@itsConnorCreatesuh huh!
Rockfan99: “rocks are so fire that they can be turned into paint”
These vids were supposed to be boring but I find them so satisfying that I watch them full.
Glad you enjoyed it!😄
Hi Conor! You could use various acids to process minerals. Also, many of them change color when calcined at high temperatures.
Another way is to add salts of various metals.
Such methods are used in the preparation of paints for the restoration of old icons (16th-17th century).
To obtain a finer fraction of paint, pour water over the powder and wait until it settles. This process is called "sedimentation" or settling
@AndreyShadrln is the sedimentation done with cheese cloth over a container?
@simonterre4583the finer fraction is top, the denser more gritty is down. You can choose which to use but the process usually is done to get the finer one
want to date me?
@Ruruuiess what?
Bro painted those masterpieces and said: My painting skills are quite limited
Glad you liked the paintings! 😅🙌🏻
I live the adhd vibe to those vids. I love every bit of it.
Also. The type of binder added to the pigment can influence the final color of the paint.
Bob would be proud
3:20
As a female, I can assure you it's not just a guy thing
this was really cool, would be interesting to see the other types of paint that could be made with this
Thanks! Ya I wanna try doing more for sure!
1:38 Guess rocks can be crayons too😅

@itsConnorCreates ay ay Connor , ur big fan here uhh can you make a video about completing people's dares or smth like that, it's ur choice, if you make it ill appreciate it 👍

Thank you 😊
Bob Ross would be proud of those Happy little paints 👏🏻
Hope so 😁🙌🏻
Tbh I thought you were gonna use "Lapis lazuli" it has a nice blue colour and it was used by the ancient painters too. Leonardo da Vinci used Lapis lazuli to paint his one of the most famous paintings also known as the Salvator Mundi
but lapis lazuli is a very rare crystal, and it's very dark of a blue
bro this the coolest youtuber in the world
Honoured you think so!! Thanks 😊
your workplace is damn comfy and calm
You should turn rock dust back into an actual rock😂😂
An intriguing idea haha
@itsConnorCreatesdo itt
well, it is possible if you melt it into a rock
Bro, YOU KNOW HE WILL DO IT 😅😂🎉
@itsConnorCreatesdo i5

@JamnGeorge are you a toddler?🥀💔🙏
Connor is the best guy on RUclips ever
True
Honoured you think so!!
i live in canada, i don't know if there's blue or purple rocks that can be turned into paint
It's hard to believe that your painting skills are "quite limited" when you draw pictures like that. Good job!
14:14 your SO good
Fr
The painting is BEAUTIFUL. It should be in a art museum.
5:17 forbidden cinnamon
True dat 😂
0:32 why does it like there’s a tornado behind you
Must be a jet stream
Meteorologist here, that is more likely a light pillar, these form when clouds block light but there is a hole somewhere in the cloud, this forms a ray of light that goes down to the ground, and gives it the name “light pillar”
if its not that then it might actually be a weak tornado
@WeeklyCatholicism it can’t be a jet stream, the cloud was toward the ground
could be a windspout
You should be an artist, your so good at painting stuff.👏👏👏
Thank you!! 😊
2:11 Ive done that before!! Actually a few days ago!! its very easy take a crumbly rock, grind it into a paste. add water!!! (i spit in it lol)
Ew
@UmunhhuYbybybhbIt’s not like i actually used it, also I have chickens and ducks, I have to touch poop all the time, and I’ve been pooped on before, so spit isn’t a big deal, and I don’t get sick, and if I do, it’s just a cold. Jesus Christ bless 💜✝️💜✝️💜
