    I love watching older videos like is, and has made me realize why I had subbed in the first place at the beginning of the year.
    "Ideally, you'd want to press this, but I don't have the time for that"
    Majority of us who binge sew LOL! Every time I turn something out, I always say "I need to press this" but then disregard it because of the mountain of sewing projects I have going on. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
    Plus I love that you're STRAIGHT to the point, not telling your life story and how you got here. I am here to learn.

      Ha ha, nobody needs to hear my life story, it's very mundane! Glad you still enjoy the demos. And I *still* don't press stuff like a I should... c x

    I love your comments as well as your tutorials. I giggled when you said you sew faster now that you've changed the setting from slow to faster. (We are all too human ha ha) I also love the idea of using the overlock foot for the edges. I have so many feet that I have never even looked at. Time to use them. Thanks so much for all you do. Much appreciated.

    My favorite sewing tip: When you have sewn to the corner lift the presser foot and turn the seam over exactly on the stich line. Sew the seam down as you continue to the next corner. When you turn the bag out you won't need to clip the corners to get a perfect square corner.

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel 5 лет назад

      I'm not sure I get it? I'm thinking you sew the first seam to the corner with the bulk of the fabric on the left side, lift foot, fold the bulk of the fabric over to the right side and then sew the next seam with the fabric on the right so the fabric at the corner is folded into a mitre? Is that right or am I over complicating things? c x

    Corrine, I love your tutorials and this one too, is Especially cute!! I use elmer's school glue stick at 5:24 instead of pins on hems and some seams with an iron press. It seems to hold much better than the pins and there's no pin removal on those areas! Glue washes out easily when washed but not necessary. Thx for sharing!!🤗

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel 5 лет назад

      Good idea Deborah, I think Elmer's must be similar to Pritt in a stick which is perfect for fabric as it doesn't soak through. I use Pritt all the time for adding ends to zips before stitching as it's so fiddly to pin, c x

    I love your tutorials! I usually search by projects that I want to make and when your videos come up, I'm like "Yasssss, it's the good lady!" I've made a couple of yours already. My question is instead of snipping the fabric for the drawstring, would it work if you used a seam ripper and snipped the threads between the two pieces of fabric and between the channels you sewed?

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel 3 года назад

      Yes, but you might need to reinforce the ends of the seam to stop them weakening.
      'The good lady!' Haha, I'm neither particularly good, nor am I a lady!!! c x

    Corinne, what Janome model are you sewing on? I like that the bobbin is so visible to the sewist. Love this tute! Works well with 10" or 12" squares.

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel 5 лет назад

      Hi Westernwilson, I've got a HD2200 and it's a dream. My daughter dropped it off the table (she was not popular!) and all that broke was the accessory drawer which was easily remedied with a bit of tape. It's a real workhorse and copes with denim, leather, several quilty layers no problem. And yes, it's great that you can see what the bobbin's doing so you don't have to play thread roulette all the time! c x

    why are you saying cm and not inches as universally used

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel 3 года назад

      We use cm as we're in the UK and metric is now the standard. Although most US quilt projects are done in inches the magazines we publish use cm as part of the 'house style' to avoid confusion to our readers, c x

    • @aprilwalter8708
      @aprilwalter8708 3 года назад

      @@TheCraftsChannel I live and sew in the UK and we are using the inch method as all rulers that are used use that format, so mentioning cm is not compatible with the Tools sold and used in our shops and craft fairs. April

    • @TheCraftsChannel
      @TheCraftsChannel 3 года назад

      @@aprilwalter8708 Sorry, but I have a Fiskars cutting rule that is metric. To be honest, most of the sewing demos I do are for craft stitchers not just patchworkers so they don't always have quilting tools; just a ruler and some scissors, c x
