Overselling by a huge margin here, the "AI" does not get the shape philosophy here, nor the utilization of said 3d model, it is just doing mumbo jumbo combination here and there based on what it has been fed, then remeshing it, it won't be able to do specific models or any production models, no hero assets either, the best it can do is background props, with bad topo, uv and textures
While I get the point of creating FOMO and Fear to get views, this is just evil. you are basically turning away people from learning the art by creating the fear of AI in them, you do not explain the nuances and how the tech works or effects the field, "Look at how great this is", "Creating worlds", "amazing models" right.
Don't know man, as a channel that has 3D related content and tutorials, you could do better than whatever this is

    • @bojansolar

I was thinking the same thing. I for example model and render products for living. So - product visualization. There is no way that AI can replace me in a 10 years. None of my clients will be like "Oh I am gonna subscribe to some AI nonsense and hope to get good results". No one will do that.
And the biggest problem here is that professionals are not afraid because they know what it takes to make good 3D stuff and get paid for it. Instead, people who have a desire to learn things will simply quit on that idea because they think it is not worth it.
Spreading fear like this is the most horrible thing RUclipsrs are now doing. They should be ashamed.
And they're doing it for views. And they need tons of views. They need to work 16 hours a day and spread fear for those views.
And the ugliest truth of all is that they don't have a single client. None! The only way for them to make money is to talk nonsense and do damage.
People will give up because of RUclipsrs, not because of some advanced tech.

massive ramble, but... obviously it needs someone to clean the mess up. obviously. i've worried about this for 9 years now, i went through the grief in like 2016 from worrying about it after a programmer made me aware of the investment into this kinda stuff when I was doing my art degree.
i'm mainly a concept artist, that has been what companies are trying to force us to do already. the issue is, it's all just steps to more lay offs, as an endless sea of shite AI art can be produced that's okay enough for them to employ less people to clean up the mess. not to mention how soul destroying it is as an artist, training most of my life and genuinely enjoying the process. enjoying the intention. the art world is on life support rn, and deluding ourselves is not helping the situation.
it's more messed up to not accurately depict the actual scary reality we're facing. no ones knows who i am here, but irl all my friends have known i've been worried about "ai"/ML art since 2015. i got really depressed about it, used to read a lot of articles about it way before it was anywhere near as good. i just had a feeling that it would happen. this happened while i was doing an art degree. most of my friends got me through it, saying it'd be really far in the future but now I got proven right. I wish I had changed degrees back then when I was worried. I didn't know for sure obviously, but it was enough of a worry at the time to anyone who read about that stuff, for it to affect my mood for years when I was doing my coursework. I wish I changed paths back then, despite how much being an artist is part of me. I could still do personal art on the side, but it wouldn't be my whole degree and work experience I depend on financially.
I am still going to keep working in art, but the games industry is laying off so many people. so many of my friends from uni have been laid off the past few weeks. if I can get the work, I guess we can try to transition to more in-person forms of art. take up sculpting or whatever, welding if that's more your thing. i mainly do concept art, but i am traditionally trained in painting. people need to not just be blindwalking into all these layoffs. capitalism is never going to protect us, this is reality. they only care about profit. it's cringe typing this but no other way to explain it: only those who control the "means of production" - the actual top 0.01% who own the stuff that does the AI or who own the market share of ads/marketing to differentiate their media from the excessive AI shite... only they will be benefit from this. no point deluding yourself, we're allowed to be upset at this stuff.
i'm not saying it's over, i'm saying let it radicalise you into hoping/working towards a new system that would have a safety net for artists when stuff like this happens. that would care about making a method/checks that guarantee a work was made without AI etc... that protection is not happening in the most corporate-controlled countries in the world lol. or try and think about what kind of art we can make that is less vulnerable to this.

this is scary. AI didn't took the jobs of 2d artists. But the question is, will it take the jobs of 3d artists whose jobs are entirely based of off computers?

we were supposed to have full auto driving by now and that aint happening...im not so sure this will be as easy a problem as they think to solve. this triplo looks like its being trained on scanned data which is why the textures kind of suck. its diffuse only looks like which with scans is all over the place baking into it things you dont want for pbr work. i can see it being good for small props that dont mean much and can be made this way simple stuff with rework into better pbr mats.

Artists dont realize that consumers dont care if you spent 6 hours modeling a tree or 2 days modeling q character, they care about the quality of the end product and sadly ai will do it better and faster

Spoken like someone who has never worked in the industry. 😁 Go and work for clients or at a studio and try handing in these AI generated assets. 😅 Seriously though, standards are a LOT higher than you may think, and art directors and IP clients especially have strict signoff gates.
The end consumer may not care how long it took to create an asset, because they haven't a clue, but the end result of the work has standards that must be met by the art team.

@@musashidanmcgrath you're right,ai will never replace human creativity but it will speed up some of the process,I think we are entering an age where generalist who have a broader understanding of art will become more important than a simple vegetation modeller, lots of specialist role might be replaced by ai but the need for an artist with good eye for art and art direction will remain valuable

@@musashidanmcgrathwhy do people always speak of the now and not seeing the trajectory here? Of course these models are crap, so were the first generated images, now two years later we have Sora for video and images close to impossible to spot as generated. The stock image industry is imploding. Now, jump forward two or three years based on this video… what do you see? Of course people want the craft and care of an artist, but most of the industry want something fast and cheap and good enough.
Adapt or die is the deal here. It doesn’t matter if you like it or not, it, this will be part of the industry at the moment a version comes out able to produce high quality assets.
Just think of photogrammetry and how that changed a lot of asset creation. Do you consider photogrammetry a viable tool for model creators? Then what happens when you get that quality with the control of promts?
Or do people not plan to work longer than two-three years? Prepare for what’s coming instead of lashing out against people recognizing what this tech will be capable of.

How often does one pay attention to any peripherals that camera is not focused on or get blurred by Depth of Field. When Quixel came with its library it simplified creativity. With such within reach people will become integrator / filmmakers. Such a vast Ocean to choose from.
