Hi Johnny hope your well mate I was lucky enough to be in yours and Eddie birkett's company many times during training at the peacock gym. I remember vividly you speaking passionately about getting the dockers statue in place, and you did. You made all the workers very proud indeed mate 👍 hard to believe 2 people gave your video a thumbs done, obviously they don't know ya god bless you Johnny 🙏

Hi Johnny, it was so lovely to watch this interview. You know my dad was a stevedore in these Docks till they closed, and how important they were to the area! I've got the "Dockology" he wrote about the terminology in the Docks online somewhere if you've not already got it!
You've brought back so many memories - although I still live here in West Ham, it's really good to be reminded of how things were!
    Love to the family

Hello Johnny, just found this channel of yours and this video. I remember doing my first aid course with you at the Peacock Gym back in 2002 or thereabouts, we used to have lunch together in the cafe there and we'd spend hours talking about boxing (you even taught me to punch properly upstairs in one of the rooms that had a punchbag in it) and about Joe Lucy. I hope you're doing well and I often think of how you're getting along. God bless you.

John's brother Jimmy was a regular at West Ham Boxing club, Black Lion, Plaistow
