I won the bid on the red c6 z06, you guys were definitely right with the hidden damage but the car is in the process of being rebuilt onto a new undamaged chassis

You should have had Rob make a cameo appearance... Though I'm sure it was fun driving that thing around to the different auctions.

Guys like you compete against me at copart. but doesn't matter.. still built a ridiculously fast 00 frc with 03 z06 "heads/cam/headers/x-pipe drivetrain. The frc had no engine and was bought at a dealer auction in east Texas.. Both cars and my previous C5 knowledge/set-up/ thirst for power created something rare, fun and hellcat/ zl1 disappointer. Will dyno tune it soon and work on suspension and brake improvements. Really like running bikes and teslas though. All for under 10k and a solid 40-50 hours of personal wrench time.
Sounds badass, hopefully it’ll put down something in the mid 400s, my barely modded Z put down a little over 360 with 130k plus miles, the frc/z is one of the most fun cars ever made for the money

you keep saying these z06 are $225,000 they're not. $120,000 to 135,000 which is still way...too much but it's not a quarter million.
They’re not selling for MSRP, they are pretty much all sold with markup right now.
Add the salvage title and it's only worth 60% of the value of a clean title car

You grossly overstated the price of the Z06 you were driving. Today it’s rare to find a dealer selling it for $100,000 over MSRP. The true average price of a brand new one at a dealership would be well under $200,000 today.

You may be quoting a flipper's price on that Z06 at $250K. The MSRP of a C8 Z06/Z07 is around $175K. I believe that's what Austin (Speed Phenom) RUclipsr paid for his.
Buy the blue and red and put the engine from the blue car into the red car

What dealership did you get that Sebring Orange from for $250k. MSRP fully loaded is under $180k unless the dealer is adding a huge surcharge.

Every time I pulled apart a car as bad as that c5 z06 there was damage to the block or something major in the driveline cracked
