When did Japan become such a powerhouse in wrestling? Man, this is some Jason Bourne genetic modification stuff going on.

They have been messing with the genetics of people and fertilizing in a lab and then implanting them into female wombs. Apparently it's for "super soldiers" but I wouldn't doubt the CCP is also doing it for athletes

Probably people who did Judo while they were young in school , that transitioned into wrestling

I have been studying this sport for the last 25 years on daily basis. Japan has always had some of the best light weight free style wrestlers since 40 years ago. They’re the Gods of Judo and they know the arts of combat sports better than anybody. Their knowledge in Judo is strengthening and innovating their wrestling programs.

So it wasn't his choice? Kind of Japanese/Chinese gymnastics taken from their families at around that age and life revolves around thatnsport?

The Japanese wrestlers are so good at scoring when they snap their opponents hands to the mat. Ono and otoguro consistently find that corner and chase a single to score

And remember, he's relying on snap downs because he is still recovering from a painful broken leg. He is based at Yamanashi Gakuin, just a couple of hours by car West of me here in Tokyo. Although the college probably has a native speaking English teacher or two, I am now retired, so I might give them a call and volunteer to do interpreting / translating for him.

One advice man, don't reveal the location of yourself & athletes to public, especially online. Online environment is very dangerous these days. That said, go for it. Being interpreter of a future wrestling legend will be a very good experience.

There’s some pretty fancy footwork to how he sets up his single tho. And how he gets to it with the same hand he uses to snap. It’s unorthodox.
