Barasoain Salubong Procession | Easter Sunday 2024

The Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Barasoain Church) in the City of Malolos conducts the Salubong Procession immediately after the Easter Vigil Mass instead of during the early dawn of Sunday as is common in many other parishes. Nevertheless, the midnight procession is well-attended by the faithful. It is noticeable, however, that some of the Biblical characters who are usually part of the entourage in this procession are missing (e.g. Santa Maria Magdalena, Santa Marta, etc.). Whether because of the unconventional schedule or for some other more serious reasons, we might never know.
