My first bag was light weight Innova. Mids maxed out at 170. Drivers 138g to 167g. Perfect for starting off and learning flight numbers

For the love of Pete - these are just 120s gram discs. Just back off the power for a few throws to get the intended audience😝

Exactly, I'm surprised he didn't think that through...

I did so many tests with light weight discs. As a older player 158g is my jam for drivers only. Anything lighter i was very inconsistent with them negating any extra distance i got plus on windy days forget about it. Also on windy days i use a 168 version for my driver as the 158 was kinda useless on those days.

The Explorer is for sure a hyzer flip disc. Both the Saint and Explorer are pretty fun to throw around with medium power.

It would be really interesting to see if the beefiness on this Pure is consistent along this release, the lines looked sick, what was the distance you were getting with it?

Opto Ruby 156g - over the Glitch - probably the only shot that flew as intended yesterday on the course, standstill bad spot, went flat 20' further than expected from a fullweight disc glide ftw, the issue is the Glitch is a bit to stable and my Beetle is to understable, so a Ruby it is until my daughter gets interested at least, she love wild cats tigers/leopards and lions. xD

I don't know what it is with youtube, but this is the second discgolf video this week where it looks like you're on a greenscreen. Some weird kind of contrast enhancement maybe?

I personally will be avoiding these. I'm by no means an "anti light weight" kind of guy. I bag a Jade as one my options for a bomber disc. With that said, the lighter the disc gets, the more I struggle at getting my angles and release correct. Its jist easier to feel where the disc is in space (on a hyzer, at chest height, etc.) with heavier discs.

Ok, instead of throwing them as hard as you can, they are designed for slower speed arms, do another video to show what they do at a slower arm speed, then, we can see what they really do...that would be great...

to be clear, I love L64 and I love these discs, but they are for children. lightweight discs are just bad for adults, period. I'd explain this but it's already been explained in a hundred full-length videos already, and the fact that anyone with a good actual rating uses exclusively max-weight, overstable discs (except for extremely specific scenarios of course), says more than I ever could.
If you have an 8-13 year old interested in the sport, check out Zero Gravity - absolutely! If they have adult-length limbs, give them 170+ discs and teach them that score is more important than distance from teepad. This is why, for example, that actual pro discs from L64 itself (Grace, Rive, Honor, Trust, Savior, Hope, etc) don't even come in light weight at all.
I *really* *really* hate the whole "for anyone with a really slow arm, you should buy crap". Nah. Nahhhhh. Not only does this waste their money, not only does it reward bad habits and punish actual improvement, but it also leaves them with a bag full of useless discs after a literal week of actually learning how to throw. The worst part is that they spend years with these kid discs, pick up a real one and see bad results thanks to years of practice with paper plates, and think that max weight is therefore bad. It only annoys me so much because I know so many people stuck in this death trap. Slow arm speed is purely a skill issue, and this ain't rocket science. I've coached kids and old folks alike to 300 feet on their first day, which is already way too far to be throwing zero gravity discs, and I know for sure if they can do it, you can too (assuming if you're reading this, you're over 12 years old).

There's no way you're teaching adults to throw 300' in one day. When I first started I practiced 3 times a week and spent 100 hours watching form videos. I made some gains but plateaued pretty quickly. It took a private lesson to break through to the next level. Still a ways to go to reach 300' for me.
