    We just had a 38 person tournament in SoCal, I was running rod with hex, and rod with ball was also very prevalent, what I noticed from the event and doing some testing with a friend is that ball beats hex on pure stamina, but hex has more offensive and counterattack, so it just came down to play style and the type of matchup you’re up against

    My vote is for Hexa. But if the testing method is actually battling two WizardRods, then Ball will probably win :D

    I think Ball is better supported on Wizard when paired with 9-60; that's why that combo is banned in the Eastern format. That being said, I think 5-70 Hexa is a strong alternative and could definitely be more powerful than the former. 😨😁

    • @nizumablader
      @nizumablader  Месяц назад +2

      I think it’s depends on what your trying to accomplish, as a pure stamina type 9-60 ball, as a defensive type 5-70 hexa.

    While hex does help with burst resistance i think using wizard rod on more stamina oriented bits could help it outlast the hex combos even if its at risk of bursting to attack combos 🤔👍🔥

    I've been debating on getting it for a while just because I didn't want to be among the crowd that just goes for the most boring/broken. However, I'm in the process of buying new parts to make rogue and meta decks and I think I might have to put WW970H as my meta Stamina type. I already run SE580B, lol.

    • @DARELMO
      @DARELMO 7 месяцев назад +1

      It seems like the general consensus is that DB is too burst prone. I’ve had that experience with it personally but in tournament I saw a lot of people use it with hell scythe on 9-60 to try to mitigate that. The combo is in no way a rod counter but does very well against unicorn and other defense / stamina builds.

      Wizard Rod, hellshammer, and phoenix wing. Depending on which combo you want or both. There are some other bosses you can get that have 9-60. The last random booster also had a green wizard rod that comes on hexa so if that’s cheaper you can go that route.
