The truth! Ain't nothing as creative when it comes to the bars than real Hip-Hop. But you have to carefully listen to the lyrics to come to that conclusion. So many time when I was growing up I had to hit rewind and listen to the bar(s) more than once to decipher it.
You definitely gotta check this entire album out, Frodo. While their first album in 1994 (6 Feet Deep) was on a darker/horrcore vibe, this album, which came out two months after Wu-Tang Forever on August of 97, is on a more serious “conscious rap” vibe…taking off right where Wu-Tang Forever left off. Both Gravediggaz albums (altho musically very different from each other) are equally just as dope. Their last and third album before the death of Poetic/GrymReaper (Nightmare In A-Minor, released in 2001) is real good as well. If you enjoy this you will also enjoy the albums from the rest of the Killa Beez (Sunz Of Man, KillArmy, Killah Priest and The Swarm compilation album).
