      As an Asian-American, it's worse when those slurs come from white people who feel entitled... no, OBLIGATED to use those words because we're not being proper "people of color" and they need to get us back on the correct path. Like, seeing a white person calling a Black man an "Uncle Tom", only because they either voted Republican once or said something nice about President Trump... I can't believe that ANYONE would consider that to be acceptable, but apparently its OK if they're shaming someone from straying off the "proper" way to act and believe.

    As a black man in America, I can tell you many reasons why our community is hurting. We've maintained our victim card way too long because we continue to ignore the underlining issues that plagued our community for decades. Many can argue that systemic racism is the contributing factor in destabilizing our community, but when do WE overcome being the victim and own up to our responsibilities in the matter? If you can acknowledge the problem and continue the karmic cycle...you're complicit and willing to aid the so called adversary in your own destruction. The Black Lives Matter movement is the embodiment of self proclaimed victims who are being used to push sinister agendas by those who've controlled THEIR narrative from the beginning. They are being coached by wolves in sheep's clothing. Black Lives Matter, you can not see that? We must break that cycled mentioned moments ago with haste because if we continue down this path we will become the very thing we detest. We can no longer hide behind excuses and place blame because it diminishes our message as a whole. Let me ask you a question...Where does our dollar go when we continue to take down our cities? How is our relationship with our brothers and sisters? How's our family structured? Do we even have a relationship with our family? Do we listen to each other? Are we holding our fellow brothers and sisters accountable for their actions? How do we really treat others who think differently than us? LET'S GET REAL!!! WHO ARE WE FOOLING??????? In reality, what are the 3 main things weakening the bl@ck community? F@therless homes, bl@ck on bl@ck crime and @bortions. Yes, you heard me right...and we never want to address these issues because we do not want to own up to our own doings. Instead, we continue to blame others while continuing the destructive behavior. We can demand respect from others all we want, but are we getting our "house" in order? Are we holding ourselves to the same standards, we're expecting from other's? I mean, by failing to look into the mirror, we've allowed this mess to continue which makes us a HUGE target for manipulating and controlling purposes. So, whenever we decide to dive into the realm of cultivating our emotional wellness awareness will show us truth, light and freedom. It will liberate us from the mind prison that was created by the outer world. Also, we must understand the motives from wolves in sheep's clothing. For example, who funds BLM??? It's the same person who funds Antifa....G. Soros!...What are his motives? For one, he does not care about us, neither white, asian, latino, gay, trans and everything else in-between. In order to seek justice we must have honor.
    I will fight for justice...but I will NO LONGER CLAIM THE VICTIM CARD. WAKE UP!!!

      Yup, even if you actually have been victimized in the past, it's not healthy to constantly think of yourself as "victim" having that "victim mentality." If you talk to real victims out there, overwhelmingly so they will tell you they want to move past it and be strong, not think of themselves as a "weak, helpless victim" forever all their lives now. If you want true empowerment, stop thinking of yourself as a victim. The problem is these days "victimhood status" is basically treated like a currency to be coveted, hoarded and traded. Many don't want to give up the perceived "benefits" that a "victim card" gives them in these overly-PC/SJW times we live in.

Although not enough, wanton destruction being in complete opposition to justice. No one should be cast aside in society regardless of whatever crimes they've caused because when you push a person away continually they'll do what suits them, no one should be beyond being responsible for their lives and the damage they cause. Sunphoenix I hear you, thanks for giving me a lot to consider. I think people mistakenly think voting is the only way to get anything done. It’s easy to vote and think, “well, he promised this, and that, so I’ll leave it to him.” But nothing ever changes, most politicians are trying to advance their careers, not save the world. Not to say that we shouldn’t vote, but we have to do more because we rely on the government too much to solve all of our problems. In doing so we give them more power than they deserve.
      We need to, as citizens come together, and think of ways to achieve the peace, prosperity, and equality that we all deserve. But we can’t do that if we can’t agree on how to get it done. What’s going on now, whether BLM or the mainstream media like to admit it, is pure chaos that is dividing us further. We are so far apart we can’t even have conversations anymore. Kindness is out the window and in its place is finger pointing, labels, and public shaming. I’m a firm believer in, “United we stand, divided we fall.” And this? This is the fall.
      I don’t know what’s worthy, but anything that’s honest is a start, and anything that doesn’t seek to gain, by causing others pain.

      Brother, you laid it our perfectly of how I've thought on the inside anytime a hear a white person say they acknowledge their "white privilege". They are basically telling you to your face that they feel like they are better than you. I don't see how other black people don't pick up on this.

    • @mrdonetx
      @mrdonetx 4 года назад +25

      @@The1Question at this point I don't think we can even blame other black people for not seeing this. It's so entrenched that it's actually part of their identity. The only privilege I believe in is if you had the privilege to grow up in surroundings that instilled in you the foundational building blocks that are important for success. White and black and every other color of poor people living in circular poverty have lost these building blocks. Black people were told by a lot of white people You're no good You're not anything. So they started to believe it. They told their kids either You're no good You're not anything or white people think you're no good or not anything. And instead of believing it became part of them. When I worked for a large retail corporation as a manager on the night shift most of my employees were black. As time went on they got to me I got to know them I would hear them say I'll never be able to get on a day shift because of this because that. So I told one of them one day, that were complaining, what they needed to do. I told them tuck your shirt in per the dress code, when you see the store manager coming in the morning say good morning Brad how are you? If he walks down the aisle or right next to you stand up look him in the eye shake his hand say how are you doing. And wouldn't you know it about three or four weeks later The store manager says to me you know we're going to have about four day shifts open up, Jevon on the night crew what do you think about him coming to days? And I answered honestly I said he's a good worker he does everything I ask him to do. And damn it wouldn't you know it he gets moved to days after a year or more trying. At first he thought I was telling him to suck up to the manager. I explained to him it's not about sucking up It's about showing that you're there. There were a few other things I told him to like if he was taking notes down the aisle say is there anything I need to do better or is this good? He took interest in the job that he did so the store manager took interest in him. It's those simple little building blocks that people who have lived in poverty have just lost I don't know where or how but they're gone. He went on to be a store manager at one of the busiest Walmart supercenters in North Texas. Got married to his other baby's mama got custody of his other child bought a house is doing pretty dang good. And I don't expect praise I don't expect thank yous from no one I don't want to be put on a pedestal It's enough for me to know that his three kids now will see and he can show them things that he was never taught. I believe teaching those who have lost those basic building blocks is the single most important and effective thing white people can teach others who have lost it if they're just willing to listen and put it to use. I know it may sound trivial and many may sit there and say I'm full of shit that that'll never work, he said the same thing. And so did about five others but then saw where it got him and asked me what they could do. Helping those people learn those basic building blocks and put them to use is far more helpful than handouts of money handouts of housing and empty offerings of privilege. I'm thankful that I was raised with those basic building blocks and I could teach someone who bothered to listen how to use them.

      and just to top it off, not only is the implication that they are better, but you know at least half of them are disingenuous and don't believe what they are saying, but want to be seen to be all progressive because it's being drummed into them at every turn, and if they say no they get labeled a nazi or racist.
      i was talking to one of my co-works the other day and at one point she said "but i guess that's part of my white privilege" i was immediately like stfu, people are all individuals, they all have different privileges, some people get dealt good hands, some get bad. that's just life and applies to all. and at the end of the day, did you get where you are because you worked for it, or because some just gave it to you?

    I'm white and i never really knew what racism was until the media made a hard push in 2016. My mom never taught me that people were more valuable than others. I was not even taught about where different people came from. My moms family is heavily British and my dads grandmother was 100% native american. NEITHER parent taught me about race. I didn't know my own origins until i was older. I grew up around Black, Asian, Indian, white and never really cared to judge because i didn't know anyone's past. I was just taught everyone is deserving of equal love. Honestly i see that as something that was important for me to grow up with because i never grew up with left and right politics twisting my views on the history of people. At the end of the day people shouldn't have to beg for rights. Everyone deserves freedom.

    When I was active duty in the Navy, the majority of my brothers and sisters were minorities (i hate using that word) and we had such great conversations sharing childhood stories about growing up in different areas. It was no secret that I grew up in the suburbs and most of my friends came from tougher backgrounds. It wasn't an issue though. We embraced our differences and it created a bond. We were awesome friends and coworkers, we laughed at how we grew up and the experiences we had. We looked out for each other, respected each other, helped when times were tough in personal lives, celebrated birthdays and when kids were born. Nothing was ever about race, it was about being a good friend and shipmate to those around you. I now live in a 99.9% white town and I just roll my eyes when I see the protests and how people are trying to lecture everyone on race relations. I love where I live but not a day goes by where I don't think of all my Navy friends who I only see on social media right now. I'd love to see them again someday and catch up and reminisce over the experiences we shared together. I see so many people just judging the hell out of each other and creating these insane standards that have no basis in reality. People are becoming brainwashed and manipulated, it's sad and frustrating.

That takes some serious conviction because the backlash is vicious, even when you approach it in a non combative way. If i disagree, I’m a racist, when that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Half my family is black, and I’ve dated black men. Why does it always turn to race if I disagree? Your touching on some great points. Liberals want to keep being funded by programs and foundations. What we need is jobs. I was raised in the hood and did some crazy stuff too. I was always a good kid inside like many others around me. Raised in Oakland during the 80's and 90's. Once I moved out of Oakland 45 minutes away on the freeway....my life changed at the age of 15. I saw opportunity, because people weren't being held back by the leftist system. Students were talking about summer jobs and summer school. Guess what I had when summer started? A job, and I went to summer school to make up credits. I felt like the whole world was like Oakland, until I moved away. They don't know how it feels to be free from real systemic racism. I now have a beautiful family for going on 20 years, and I own Real Estate in Ca. I go camping, hiking, kayaking, archery, and go to the shooting range. When kids from the hood look at me while camping in my tent or RV, I give them that head nod that's a yes we out here. Don't let someone put you in a box. They need to see us enjoying things other than Cars, clothes, and Jewelry. I'm around all races who enjoy life. We need real leaders to bring back the community not profit from it like BLM.

    In my view, BLM the organization, intentionally ignores the history of the civil rights movement in America. Fredrick Douglass, Booker T Washington, MLK, Malcolm, The Black Panthers, Afrocentric's, and countless other groups and individuals, all had very different ideas. The civil rights movement is specifically the organization of people and exchange of ideas. Today there is little of that going on and this has been the case for a very long time.
    In 1911, Booker T Washington wrote the following (I did not edit the mans words which are not in fashion today out of respect);
    "There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs."

    Hey man. I just turned 29. I'm a new father, I had my first boy last year in October. My wife and I are about to move into a new home. We live in Dallas. Well North of Dallas, but my wife works in Dallas. I'm taking care of the little one right now and going to school again. I love your take on marriage. We've been married for 7 years.
    I've been subscribed to you for awhile because I liked your politics. I'm not a huge fan of BLM either and I'm white. All of my peers just endorsed the movement without thinking. Criticizing this movement is nearly impossible for me. My wife could lose her job if she does at all. The company she works for publicly endorsed BLM and brought an activist onto lecture the employees. The activist sat on a conference call and called anyone who voted for Trump a racist, and basically told the white people in the room that they all had white privilege and needed to ask forgiveness.
    Shortly after the protests began, people in my neighborhood started leaving signs threatening to target us for our socioeconomic status. We actually had to place firearms in strategic locations for a day or two because of it. Fortunately the threats were false.
    I get what you are saying about it. Something about the whole movement makes my gut churn and you explaining it like that made it a little clearer for me. I've always been for police reform. The way they run things has put my best friend in jail three times for stupid reasons. The first time was his fault, but the other two times were because they piled on extra fines retroactively and didn't tell him.
    But this movement seems wrong and is causing more problems than they are providing solutions. Anyways, sorry for sharing my life story. Cheer up man, there are lots of people who agree with you.

      Thanks for sharing. I have people in Dallas. I appreciate the insight. Planning on moving back soon actually.. A little sketched out to do so in the middle of these protests. 😬 I'm actually getting back together with my ex who happens to be a dark skinned black man, me being a white woman.. I just feel that even if I'm holding hands with him downtown somebody is gonna yell at me for being white! It's already that way on the internet! Like what the hell?!

      Benjamin Woodham BLM is very damaging to black folk. It’s a subtle and dangerous Marxist control mechanism.
      Don’t try to fight it, keep your views to yourself, concentrate on providing for your family. The only powers you have is the vote and the purse. Don’t purchase products that sponsor bullshit ideologies. I’ve been there.
      May God bless you and your family.

    Hell yes! I'm white. My uncle ( a black man) who I've admired as far back as I can remember was the classiest guy I've ever known. He graduated from college and was the most financially well off and educated member of our family. He was the only one in my family that concerned himself with how my education was going. I did not do well in school and wasn't able to go until my late 30's, but I will always credit him for the example he set. Imagine my surprise when woke ppl in college started telling me how underprivileged he is. I mean, it made me angry for him cause it feels condescending. He was the most DIGNIFIED person I knew. Listening to them made me angry for the infantilizing of the entire race. The fact that he can and did overcome does not erase the history of hostility and brutality...it simply highlights strength and perseverance. That success in education and business and science should be celebrated and shouted more loudly than the word "racism". You attract what you speak. No one should grovel. Ever.

    Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. I was raised to never ask for handouts and to work for what you want in life. It's nobody's fault if but your own if you can't achieve your goal. And white shame doesn't do anything in 2020, maybe 100 years ago but not now.

    I love seeing your reactions. There's a trend of videos that are reaction themed. Most are just dramatized, over the top, and just plain silly. Saying your reactions are hilarious, is truthfully a compliment. Why I say that, is because of the honesty. The actual frustration, and confoundedness, of how rediculous things can be. How rediculous people can be. You're doing good work, and I applaud you!

    Hi Man, im from Denmark, we just had a BLM protest recently in Copenhagen, they (BLM) wanted only POC to be in the front of the parade, whites was delegated to only walk in the end of the parade, whites was not allowed to use the black fist of power, and they were not allowed to sing along on the songs,
    Some Journalist asked them, if they did not think that was racist? They doubled down and started to belittle him for working for a danish newspaper, where almost all employed are white.

    i'm not American, but i'm concerned of what happens in America as it can have a domino effect on the rest of the world like its happening right now in a negative way.
    When i heard about the identity and founders of BLM as a group, i researched by going on their website. Thats when i realized is not about real black issues but the black alphabet community/Black woman having more control on what goes on in the black community and also political involvement with the democrats. By the way its on their website and no secrets people just need to read what they are about. Good video and analysis on how easily it is to manipulated people.
