Congratulations! I'm a pre nursing student and am super nervous bc the NICU is my dream unit and I know how hard it is to get into that specialty, esp as a new grad 😭😭Do you have any tips on what I can do to increase my chances?
@@hanaanyousef8041 I totally get that! I was in the same boat as a new grad trying to get into the NICU despite having a year of experience in a Level 4 NICU as a PCT. I would say try to get some experience working in a NICU, whether that is being a tech, extern or a clerk. You can also volunteer to be a baby cuddler in the NICU. Another option would be to try to get your practicum in the NICU in your last year/semester of nursing school, which would be so beneficial! You got this!!
