Fountain pen safari with a patient wife. Vincenzo I’m not telling you what to do. Then again maybe I am. Someone deserves a big hug at minimum. So many incredible pens. With me being parsimonious, not sure I could ever part with those kinds of dollars. What an enjoyable video.
A beautiful video, some sightseeing, some family moments, a little touch on Italian cuisine and lots of FP purchases, beautiful and well-assorted shops. Congratulations on your purchases, each FP more beautiful than the last. I particularly liked the Manufactus shop and I think I would have bought exactly the same things. I also really like the notebook, the wax seal set and especially the paper with the many motifs from our hobby. I am sure that the third part will be just as good and exciting with Florence as the host. I am looking forward to it Casa della Stilografica part, which I unfortunately only know from online purchases.
hello Vincenzo! what a great video dear friend! you are drivin' me crazy! so so so much of an interesting video ! you definitely are a great presenter! i started your video while having diner and then stopped everything in order to keep watching till the end. i think you did VERY VERY well keeping on your grail pen track & i'm so so happy for you. i enjoyed very much YOUR pen therapy and Italian journey. Thanks again for you enthousiasm for really great quality products &, most of all, for the great qualility of life they mean for all of us.
Hi Mr. V! Thanks for sharing more of your vacation! VERY interesting! So nice to see all those FP stores! Probably a good thing there aren't too many around here! I'd be bankrupt! Seriously, though, you got some really GREAT pens! Thanks for showing them too us. And the yummy food too!
Well, that was therapy indeed, seeing all those beautiful pens. I smiled when you were outside the store pointing at the sign. That feeling of being about to enter "the pen candy store" 😊 It's nice when we have partners who indulge us in our hobbies. Looking forward to part three.
The day I went there, Novelli was closed. I was so disappointed. Now, seeing the price tags, for example, on the Leonardo pens, I was lucky not to get inside. 🖋
When you paused to say, "What happened next," I kept expecting you to say that your wife put you out on the balcony, or left you. The fact that she actually came home with you says you got a good one there and you;d better hang on to her. As a wife, I gotta say, I hope she got a few nice things too. So glad you enjoyed your trip, your family, some yummy food, and of course your pen adventure. Thanks for sharing, I was smiling the whole time.
😉Un saludo (Thank you for sharing your experiences, thank you very much. It was a very friendly and entertaining video. I am very glad that you enjoyed your holidays. Congratulations. I saw that you bought the Visconti Homo Sapiens Basaltic Lava Fountain Pen, Bronze, and that Hemingway Jones also has it, because you have made me jealous and I bought it in fine point. I am waiting for it, I hope I don't regret it and that it writes quite well. 😉 Greetings)
Excellent video Vincenzo, I just enjoyed every minute of it, particularly your visits to the Aurora Store and Stilo&Stile. I'm a permanent customer at Stilo, they're absolutely lovely people who offer superb customer service, and as for Aurora, I own the Jubilaeum which is a masterpiece of beauty amd elegance. Shall be watching your Italian travel videos several times because I'm also interested in these recipies and restaurants you mention. Living in Greece I cannot wait to visit Italy again.
Thanks a lot ror sharing this great adventure, Vincenzo. The personal aspects of your trip makes it more special. I look very forward to watching Part 3. Congratulations on acquiring your grail pen collection. This calls for a set of videos to compare your grail collection: Pelican, Visconti, Delta, etc. 😊
Amazing haul. Enjoy your acquisitions. I remember visiting Stilo Feti on my one trip to Rome as an adult over a dozen years ago. Unfortunately I knew little about Italian pens and had little budget, but recalled the amazing collection and mood. Great video travel although please be careful with audio tracks. It’s eye candy but be good to the ears too (either original audio or voiceover or music please). Thanks and happy writing.
Two great videos & stunning pens only one of which I own the Aurora 88p & the earlier 88 both have absolutely great flex nibs.I know you’ll be using the 88p on a regular basis.
I needed a second cup of cappuccino to see me through this therapeutic pen trek through Roma! Lovely start to my Sunday. The bg hum of music was not distracting on this video--mille grazie 😉 You have me dreaming now of pen questing in Italia. Looking forward to seeing your penventures in Firenze.
I was there in April and it was packed too. My Italian friends kept complaining to me that they have been experiencing extreme amounts of people in Italy even during off months since a few years ago. Now most of those who complained are either archeologists or historians who usually count on off seasons so they can get to the monuments and other notable places for their academic research purposes.
The first thing I'll say, I think sainthood needs to be conferred upon your wife for putting up with you!! 🤣 That was such the pen haul!! A wonderful video Vincenzo, and thanks for sharing your vacation with us. All the pens you acquired are beautiful, but the only one that is a grail pen for me would be the Homo Sapiens. I have a couple of vintage Aurora 88P's, but they've been such a disappointment. Maybe I'll get that Homo Sapiens for my 70th next year. Like others have said, you've whetted my apatite and now I'm looking forward to part 3.
Love the journey. I relived my many prior visits to Rome through your maps. I was not a pen enthusiast in those days, but now you have whetted my appetitte to return to Rome with a new objective. As usual, your enthusiam jumps out through the screen. Thank you for sharing.
Vincenzo...thank you for sharing your vacation highlights...pens, family, sightseeing, restaurants...what an exciting experience! Will be curious about the performance of each of the pens you acquired on the trip...maybe a future weekly recap video could include this update. Enjoy them all! Next week, on to Florence!
Another great travel report, and your "exploit" is really great! Then there should be enough for the next time to present 😂 I found my 12th Lamy Studio in red today 🎉 Okay, no comparison to your Italians, but I'm looking forward to ☺️ And the third part of your trip too! Greetings from Germany 🤗
I agree ! Roma is one of the most beautiful town in the world, and so much to visit, so much history. I've visited 3 times during the last 10y, I still want a 4th ;-). Hope you didn't forgot to throw a coin nella fontana (nella piccolina piazza) :-). At 20', you have in your hand what I consider the best pen engineering ever made (it is fun because I've done a video before leaving in holidays but no time to create the subtitles). In stiloestile, you seem really excited much more than in any other shops 🙂. And you know what is even more fun :-). I've just bought 2W ago exactly the same radius pen than you (bohemian twilight) but ruthenium finish.... ringraziamenti per questi videos !
I was lucky to go to Stilo & Stile a couple years ago, and it did not disappoint. Was happy to get a limited ed Stilo Opus 88 Demo pen. They also had the Stilo Leonardo Prisma pen, completely sold out and they weren't going to sell the one they had! Just too many pens and items to take in!
I appreciate your lovely trip and your quote lovely pen Hall " but I simply had to stop. I'm about 10 years older than you and struggling to put food on my table and not lose my apartment because of tough times even with my social security. And to see you week after week and now on this trip which in and of itself is fabulous You're buying thousands and thousands of dollars of pens and congrats. Like you I work super long hours and hard. And my pride and joy is a lamy plastic pen. I'm having to sell everything I own. So best of luck to you but I simply can't watch your extravagant behavior week after week.
I wanted to correct that, but it’s a little too late. Thanks for pointing it out. I obviously forgot to erase one of the two voices I changed my mind at the last minute wanted to leave some of my Italian in and forgot to remove the voice over. Please bear with it, just part of the course
I could seriously look at Aurora pens all day... Congratulations on the Homo Sapiens!!! I adore mine! it's constantly been inked since I got it and has only had one ink in it and it's Diamine Prussian Blue. What nib did you write with on the Aurora Internazionale? It looks like a stub maybe??
@@fountainpentherapy Would you say that Aurora's run a bit thinner of a line line Japanese pens? I have a green Aurora Internazionale coming with a medium nib. Was hoping it will be thick enough of a line. I enjoy fine to medium Pelikans.
Thank you for this episode. I immediately went to Stilo e Stile. I have dealt with Ornella and staff for years., (I had wished to have seen Ornella.) I will forever be thankful to them for introducing me to Leonardo. The Scribo is, in a word, luscious.
Excelente Brother Vincenzo. You made me think that I had been to Rome. Congratulations on a wonderful trip and sharing that trip with us.👍👍👍👍

Great video, Vincenzo! As always… I was in Rome for New Years 2023…..you brought back many memories. Great buys too, enjoy them. Thanks.

So glad you got yourself the beautiful Visconti...You deserve it! And to have it directly from Italy, even more special. 💙✒️💎
The Aurora also 😉✒️
I totally agree!

I'm shocked at the crowds at Trevi Fountain but really loved your trip recap. Can't wait for Part 3!
I agree too many people for such a wonderful site and such a small space. But that’s the way it goes.

Did you say "altro che le penne cinesi, mannag..."? LOL, if you did, I agree! 🙂Beautiful pens those Italians...

I got my O solo Mio at Stilo e stile. I love it. Mine is the orange and black version as well.
Okay, I did shout a "YES" at the reveal. It's a absolute beauty......and btw I TOLD YOU SO :-).......ENJOY IT.
Wonderful purchases! So the question we all come to is what comes next after we get our grails?!

You actually made me look up some hotels flights to Rome with this video 😃. Good thing I only live about 1-2 hours by plane.
That's awesome!
Hello Vincenzo, I am at the 13th minute, will keep watching the rest, sadly your after explanation and dialogues on the store, both voices overlap.
I wanted to correct that, but it’s a little too late. Thanks for pointing it out. I obviously forgot to erase one of the two voices I changed my mind at the last minute wanted to leave some of my Italian in and forgot to remove the voice over. Please bear with it, just part of the course

At the store, I tried extra fine and fine and eventually bought one with a fine nib

Oh my! You missed Stilograph Corsani…(?)
Regrettably, so it was a little bit too far out and I tried the last day to make it, but it was not possible. It will be a destination for next time.
Wonderful review. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm!

Noted!
