Basically I'm from Andhra.
But, Jigarthanda was a master piece. I watched it more than 5 times for Bobby Simha's Antagonist role.
Varuntej done very good job in GkG. But, he lacks the cruelty which Bobby Simha has in JT.
This is my personal opinion only.

@Sirisha Metta to be honest , from outsider point of view , with zero idea of Telugu actors background , I'll tell jersey was good , acting was great but I don't label mahanati , kancherapalayam is master piece also I didn't watched agent sai . And most of Telugu actors I seen are over reacting actors like Pawan Kalyan , this Ganesh movie hero , Mahesh , ram Charan but I liked nani , venkatesh natural acting

Actually Iam a north indian , So You can consider me as a neutral one to decide the best . I personally watched both movies . From my point of view , i would say that jigardhanda is a untouchable milestone when compared to the telegu version. Even though I am Northindian , I would say some of the Tamil films are the best ever in Indian cinema . Also when you see the top IMDb rated movies of India , 6 films out of top ten is from Tamil industry .

From all of them I would say that Vadachennai and asuran are my fav films , Because of its screenplay especially Vadachennai . Both have all the elements for a perfect film . Thats why Vetrimaran is now the best director in Indian cinema (More than Rajkumar Hirani) .
But telegu movies do only masala thing and donot even know about a standard film except Bahubali and arjunreddy.
Also there is no such high rated movie from telegu industry . All of them are masala , over build up and cannot even stand with Tamil cinema .
Also there is no big music composers in telegu industry .
But in tamil , they have Ar Rahman , santhosh narayanan.
Also santhosh narayanan can be said as the best music director right now in india due to his phenomenal varieties of music from film to film
I'm from Kerala and I have watched both films.What I felt is Jigarthanda is a masterclass with realistic plot and perfomance and no burden of stardom.Felt like Bobby simha was just living as the character. But Telugu version is so much exaggerated to satisfy the stardom of Varun Tej. Jigarthanda is a directors movie and telugu version is a regular adrenaline rush mass movie for Varun Tej. Jigarthanda holds up in every aspect ✌

@@ppgamerbucket3364 but there is a difference between sci first and other genres don't compare marvel movies.as for aditya Varma, they copied every scene, but that's how it works, but he changed some things up, Arjun Reddy, had anger and sadness, where Aditya Varma showed anger only, that's different style. And this might be cooler but we will not be able to understand it because we watched Tamil version fisrt.

Had they followed the realistic approach in the remake, it would have backfired leading to comparisons which usually happen in case of almost every remake. But in case of this film, people did not compare both versions because everyone was aware that the remake was made in a different tone and just like a fresh film. It is jot fair to compare films of different tones.
That tamil version both siddarth ans Bobby has a weight role and then the climax shows how siddarth fools bobby. But in telugu version they just show varun tej as superior and they give atharva a dummy role.
@@vikramrajan9369 It's titled as "Gaddalakonda Shankar", after villain's character and that gives a clue that villain is the hero. And that's the point. It's not a frame by frame remake but kind of a totally different film. So, no comparisons necessary.
@@Djockzone first of all name of the movie is gaddalakonda ganesh and then if the varun tej is important then what is the purpose of atharva (good actor in tamil) in that film they cast any dummy hero in telugu because they totally collapse what siddarth done in jigarthanda. Other than varun tej no one has a scope in that film
@@vikramrajan9369 Firstly, just because Atharva didn't get a chance to be heroic, doesn't mean he didn't have enough scope to act. Secondly, no character is above a film. Watch a film for what it is, not for what it is not. You wouldn't have raised this point, if it was an original film. Just because you're comparing two films, you felt Atharva's character deserved to be heroic. Remakes are made for those who haven't watched the original, not for others.

If they remake a commercial film means there is no need to compare but this was a cult movie in tamil everyone appreciates the film so if they remake this film definitely comparisons are made. If u see this as a solo film also the film is in usual telugu commercial format. varun tej did a great performance a great changeover compare to fidaa and tholi prema still there is nothing new in this film.
