- Chimney Rock State Park is located just outside Asheville, North Carolina. Chimney Rock, 315-foot rock monolith is considered one of the most iconic sites in North Carolina. From its top, you’ll soak in the 75-mile panoramic views of Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure. You can take the 494 steps to the top of the Chimney or you can take the elevator. We took the Outcroppings Trail to the top of the Chimney. We then proceeded on the Exclamation Point Trail another 350 steps past the Opera Box and Devil's Head. We saw the top of Hickory Nut Falls via the Skyline trail and then saw the amazing 404-foot Hickpory Nut Falls.

Get there early, the park gets very busy later in the day. Be prepared to climb several hundred steps OR you can opt to take the elevator to the top of the Chimney. The Skyline trail was a nice hike, but the cascades at the end were underwhelming. Hickory Nut Falls from the lower trail is quite impressive.
Nice trail. Absolutely worth it the views. Greetings from Texas
Very beautiful views and the waterfall was quite impressive with its height.
Good family trip with really nice views!
It was a cool place, I am glad we went while in NC.
Thanks for the great visual tour of Hickory nut falls, chimney rock, ect••• I was able to see clearly the spectacular views! Do you have other nature videos?🌄🌅🏞
Glad you enjoyed it, check out my channel, loads of outside adventures
Came to your channel to see the peloton bike hack and ended up here. I am currently in Asheville now with the family and we just did chimney rock today! My legs are still hurting lol. Great video!
It’s a cool place, but definitely a stair stepper. Now that you have the DIY Peloton, it is time to upgrade your home gym with my DIY plyo box. Step-ups are a great way to train for elevation. Thanks for the comment and watching!
Very nice place, still kind of wild, but in the same time adjusted for the casual hiker.
We really enjoyed our time there. See you outside!
cool video! my gf and I will be visiting there in three weeks
Great views of the lake and gorge, just get there early to avoid some of the crowds.
Wow, they really took the climb out of that climb. Nice spot nonetheless.
Yea, very tourist friendly. They have technical rock climbing elsewhere in the park. It reminded me of Watkins Glen, very accessible for all levels. But it was a cool place.
