Taught my puller backer horse to ground tie . It helped with so many things ...BUT ..I need to keep up on it cuz his troubled side is ingrained pretty deep. They are so smart though but they need to know why and how it all works. My young mule needs this . This video reminded me how effective it is. Thx

Cowboy what your sharing is overlooked by most Handlers. Standing still and doing nothing is one of a Horses favorite things so when they understand what's asked they'll willing comply. I personally feel it's more effective with less energy but can be understood with higher levels of energy too. My opinion thanks for your video

Standing still is one of a horses favorite things to do. It's not hard to make him understand like eating how hard is that to get him to understand? It's not! Manage your feet because you are asking him to manage his own. Don't try to hard don't create more energy than needed.
Thank you for your comment and giving us a chance to discuss that. You actually can't see from the video but there were numerous other horses around. This concept will work the same with or without other distractions though. Distraction just offers more opportunity for you and your horse.

Get him alone so nothing is distracting him, cool, I never saw that before.
