I just did something beyond thrifty. LOL my husband brought home a mega ton of bbq beans that he made himself and barely got touched at his work-place dinner. I had my fill of 'em before he took em in. LOL so I took him out 2 bowls and took the rest and rinsed & rinsed 'em off. We'll have bean soup, bean quesadillas, bean this and bean that all week. Right now we are hoping that the lights will not go out since we are under hurricane alert right now. Hope it side swipes us. I got refrigerator organizers ( 5 clear thingies under $20 ) on a catalog close out sale. They are so clean and nice, and I can see everything in there. We split a lunch special at a pizza place too. Winning! lol Hey, I love it when I find something Cheap ( mostly books at my local thrifty ) that womps out something in my amazon wish list.
I just love your practical advice. It’s time for me to take inventory before I do a big grocery haul again. Love your t-shirts! I love tshirts too and try to get one wherever we go. We took the train from Virginia to Reno, Nevada a few weeks ago and of course I had to get a shirt before leaving to come home…😉 ❤-Brenda

@martna1 the roots are usually still on them so it's a living plant. I keep them refrigerated, in a tall drinking glass with only the roots submerged in water. Then I place the plastic bag over the greens, which keeps them crisp. They last for about a month if I rinse the scallions and change the water once or twice a week. Hope this helps.
I don’t shop very often. I keep a running list of meal ideas to use what I have, just pick up what I need to complete my ideas. I need to go to the store tomorrow, flour, sugar, carrots , celery & eggs are on my list. Then I will pick up anything on a good sale I use to stock my pantry.😊

My last batch of waffles yield was 30 yummy buttermilk waffles which I packed up 2 per pack and froze. So good and cost very little !
