It's a fascinating story, very interesting book. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to see the movie and to see Tommy James in concert again. I've been a fan since the song Hanky Panky was released. Tommy is a classy guy.
So do I but his conversation with this guy was almost eight years ago and I don't know if the movie was ever made.... I guess I'll have to look into it to see if it was because I never heard of it coming out
Big Tommy James fan! I remember when Hanky Panky came out. I was a kid under 10. And then... Crystal Blue Persuasion. The hits kept coming. MAJORLY surprised at this revelation, but I suspect the entire label industry was like that-- maybe some were more subtle.
I think in a round about kind of way, the mob would be proud that if the story would get out, and eventually it would get out, it would be told in a "dignified" kind of way. Tommy wasn't the type to bite the hand that fed him. Also, it seems he waited "respectfully". Tommy seems to be a "Stand up" kind of guy. Always a fan of Tommy and the Shondells. GREAT JOB!!!
