Vending machines cost a lot more than $600. If you buy a $600 Coke machine, either you're an extremely bold/stupid risk taker, or you have a full on mobile repair shop to repair it every week when it breaks down. These machines cost $3k-$5.5k for a new one in good condition. Plus you have to lease whatever land it's on, and pay the exorbitant electric costs (which will run you a lot to keep your drinks cold). You need to network with someone for cheap rent, purchase the original product, and run multiple of these machines in high frequented areas with little competition in order to turn a decent profit.
@@miriamhavard7621 Those who start off with enough interest-free capital to buy and maintain hundreds of them, perhaps. I was stupid and tried to get into the vending machine game. 1) you pay rent 2) you pay for electricity 3) you pay for goods 4) you pay for restocking 5) you pay for maintenance 6) you pay for machine's components to replace
Usually businesses welcome small vending machine businesses to place them there and cover rent and electricity , goods restocking traveling are still significant expenses, but there is definitely profit to be made over a long period of time just like any other investment or side hustle

And the dollars where also alot smaller gained from 1 machine. But saying he made 100 dollars from 5 machines and spend x hours refilling and spending x amount on the stock isn't cool so we just make it look cool and let 15 years think they can make free money that way
it costs 600 dollars and made 160 dollars in one business week (probably closer to 80 dollars of profit considering the price of its stock) and if we assume the electricity, maintenance and rent isnt covered by the business owner, itll probably stack up to atleast 50 dollars a week for just 30 mins of work if you do the stocking yourself. this can actually be a pretty decent “side hustle” and make back what it costs in just a few months if the area is safe. (but this video seems a bit misleading because there were already coins and dollar bills in the bucket beforehand, so he probably made way less from one machine)
