Also, to answer your question, we have aspic here in the south too, but cracklings and bacon are generally more popular and common and yes, it is good. But we also have pickled pigs feet and grits here, so... And those dishes actually look really similar to 90s chinaware that we commonly have here, too. It doesn't really scream soviet to me.

Your "holodec" is more of a traditional "eastern european dish" as it's eaten basically all over the place :D I absolutely love it in Hungary, and I do know people also eat it in Poland, Serbia and Romania.

Did you black out your power puff girl tattoo? I use winter hats all the time to protect my camera. Have you ever considered getting a UV light? During the winter the lack of sunlight is very draining and sitting under a UV lamp for 15 minutes a day really made a difference on my brain health and helping my skin. Maybe check it out or ask your therapist about it.
