Both my Parents were in the Army National Guard.
I was born in a VA Hospital even though my Birth Certificate says I was born at Mather Air Force Base.
Anyways my Brother was in the Army and my Sister is in the Air Force.
Glad you got to have your "adventure." I'll just be over here with my trauma.
My dad was in the Air Force for twenty years.He was stationed in Paris in the 50s,& met my French mother there.I was born on an Air Force base in France,a town called Chateroux.My brother was born stateside in Texas,& we grew up on Air Force bases.We too,moved a lot,but it never bothered me.My favorite part of living on the base was when the fighter jets would make low passes over our house.Little brother & I would jump around,waving & screaming,& would occasionally get rewarded when they'd dip their wings.I'm glad we grew up military,& I take pride in being a French gentleman.
What a great example of "living in the moment".
Grew up USAF. Def can identify. Leaving friends was so hard. Goodbyes were forever.
Sometimes they are forever, but not always. Life is surprising sometimes
