@@stronggirl6193 I've always recommended for students to quickly type in a sentence for the essay and to skip it. If you don't type anything, it'll grade it differently than just typing something and skipping it. This can allow you to have much more focus and concentration for the rest of the test after the essay to get enough correct to pass! The reason I recommend skipping it is that often students only get 1 or 2 points total from the essay and spend a lot of time on it. They exhaust themselves and that energy in my opinion is much better spent focusing on the remaining questions to maximize your score.

Hey there, some common topics to pass are: • Determine Functions • Line Plots • Compare Rates • Mean, Median, Mode • Plotting Points • Functions • Substitutions • Solve Equations • Slope • Quadratics • Equations of Lines • Geometry (Area, Perimeter, Volume, Surface Area) I know that's a lot, but you could also check out: • Calculator Problems • 10 Common Problems as a fast way to prep for math!
For the essay, I recommend writing one sentence and skipping it so you have focus and energy for the last section of the test. The reason is that even when most students put in a ton of effort on the essay, they end up scoring 0 or 1 on it. However, I will keep your recommendation in mind for a video in the future!

These seem pretty easy, but my language arts test I had alot more reading and having only a certain time I didn't have time to go back and recheck my work, but I failed my language arts the first time I go back September 10th so I really need prayers and hoping I pass. I've already passed math and science from watching your videos, but language arts is totally different and alot more reading. It wasn't this easy as this video is. I'll keep watching your videos. Any tips for language arts test?
Totally! These are easier than the actual test since I had to make segments of passages instead of long ones. It’s difficult to recreate the level of difficulty for that test. A lot of people have success with readtheory.org. Apparently they have passages and questions that you can answer!

I would try to focus on the problems that ask about these, because usually you can find the right answer just by looking at the answer choices: • Fact vs. Opinion (Opinions have words like "best" "worst" "right" or "wrong" usually) • Bias (Which one is someone's opinion about something?) • Questions where they ask what one word means (you can just read that one sentence) • Mean/Median/Mode/Range • Graph questions If you focus on these types, then you don't have to read all the paragraphs and can try to save a lot of time. English is my second language, I found there's many higher level words in the articles, How can I overcome the difficulties in reading? I just passed math test with a score 173. I want to take the second test for language RLA, the 3rd test for social studies, the 4th test for science.
One thing that's helpful to increase your vocabulary is to study common roots and prefixes, like this list here: www.cuesta.edu/student/resources/ssc/study_guides/vocabulary/806_vocab_roots.html This can allow you to break words apart and then reconstruct them to find the meaning by putting them back together. I hope this is helpful for ya!

One technique that I always hear is reading something that you enjoy everyday. The more you read, the more you get used to reading those longer passages like on the RLA exam. Keep finding other RLA material to practice with and you'll keep improving! 🙏🏻
