- American television sitcom Eve aired for three seasons on UPN from September 15, 2003, to May 11, 2006. UPN executives approached Eve about developing a television project following her performance of her single "Gangsta Lovin'" at the network’s Monday Night Premiere Party, a kickoff celebration for several of the channel's season premieres. She had previously garnered positive reviews for her supporting roles in the 2002 dramedy film ‘Barbershop’ and 2002 action film ‘XXX’. The network designed the series as a vehicle for Eve following the positive response to fellow musical artist Brandy in another sitcom on the network, Moesha.

I totally DISAGREE with those so called critics. EVE was a very funny show and Eve as well as the entire cast were excellent comedic actors. I even recorded episodes to watch them again. I'm assuming the critics were not able to relate to the context of the show. 🤷♀️ The sitcom can be seen on the Cleo Network as well.

I know ppl were confused about the show name being "Eve" but her name was Shelly. I use to say remember the Bill Cosby had the Cosby show but the characters were the Huxtables. As well the the Steve Harvey show and his name was Steve Hightower. It happens. Happy you broke down the reason here.

Met Eve several years ago on a few occasions. I can say that she is a class act with no sense of entitlement. I am truly happy she found her "happily ever after." She has a good spirit and deserves it.

This show was awesome! Why the harsh critique? I loved the cast.
The critics were probably not relatable. And also at the time black television was blowing up & they prob didn't like that either.

Eve:UPN Monday Night Classic……Critics didn’t like the show, but I enjoyed watching Eve The Series because it was hilarious and too funny lol……Still to this day, Eve was done dirty and never got a proper series finale…..UPN (now the CW network) has had a habit of getting rid of good shows through the years……Thank goodness that Eve the series is now on Tubi and HBO Max……RIP Natalie Desselle-Reid…..
I LOVED this show!! I wish they'd release a series boxset because I'd buy it. It was so funny. Eve has very good comedic timing, and everyone had great chemistry together! I doubt they'll ever release all the episodes for purchase, so I'm scared it'll eventually become lost media.

Tubi has the seasons on there but idk what those critics were talking about but Eve was pretty good...diverse, funny, showed male & female perspectives when it came to dating, the dating scene, marriage, etc. RIP to Natalie Desselle Reid I absolutely luved her in BAPS & How To Be A Player 🥰

So when I first heard of the Eve show I was wondering why was the show even coming out? All of a sudden Eve has a show her own or it’s like self titled. But I did like the cast I thought it was really interesting. And also Eve is really funny or comical. I would’ve loved to have seen more.

Watched this show as a teen and still watch it. Eve,great rapper,i felt was trying too hard to find her "funny". Natalie' s character (S.I.P)was just natural. So was Brian hooks' character,just 5:00 funny. Donovan character as well.

In the 1st season,she was having trouble landing the jokes, whenever she was in a scene with Natalie's character or Brian hooks' character. She improved over the seasons

I remember when this show first aired when I was in 2nd grade. Us little girls really went back to school talking about this show like we knew something lol 😂. We all loved and looked up to Eve especially since we were all from Philly so it was just cool to see someone from our hometown on TV ☺

LOL! I just finish watching Eve in its entirety this past weekend on Tubi. They left it on a cliff hanger. I wish there was a cancellation clause where a show can have a few episodes to wrap up the storylines if it gets axed as a series.
Back when Tv shows and the studio audience were the best thing i got into the classics
My favorite episode was when JT got into a fight and Shelly jumped in and handled BIDNESS! 😂😂😂 JT felt some kind of way! 🤣🤣🤣
This was one of my mom’s favorite shows…and I will never forget the look on her face when she discover Eve was a rapper in real life lol. My mama was not into rappers or anything of the sort so she just couldn’t believe one of her favorite actresses was a rapper lol. God Rest Her Soul.
