There are people with inferiority complexes who are jealous of your talents. Ignore them and keep your excellent videos coming as you are doing a great service to novice and even experienced gas engineers as we are learning every day.
Yup and they always seem to back up their crap by saying they have 20+ years in the trade! They usually never want to learn anything new either or can't face that they can actually learn from a younger engineer
Doing videos and posting them is extremely useful. Your videos have given me other options, so keep them coming, bro. Forget the haters. Every day is a learning day. Thank you.
You need to have a thick skin to run a RUclips channel mate. Don’t go down to their level. Ignore them. You’ve got a great channel. Please keep the vids coming. We all learn everyday, no matter how good we think we are in whatever trade. 👍
Agreeing with a lot of comments on here today great channel learnt loads for servicing/breakdowns which has saved me time on jobs. As a dad of 2 very young children I must say thank you for giving up what little free time you must get to make videos.
Love your videos they help me so much Iv been a gas engineer for 6 years 3 years was my apprenticeship I get it in the neck of people telling me how am I even a gas engineer and your well better than me lol 😂 so keep going mate I look forward to your videos top g ❤
I have previously criticised your videos for repitition of the word 'so' and for audio/ video not being synced. That said I still keep coming back to your videos, some great content and you took my shite complaints well. The thread on gas App had less than 30 comments, video has 2k views. Realise you're winning mate! Some days I struggle with the job and being nice to the customers, without trying to film the ordeal. Appreciate how much you are respected as an engineer, even by one of your 'trolls'. Jobs can take time, result is more important. Big up yourself and also be less tall. Good luck
Great vid, at least no 1 was behind you asking are you winning every 5 mins like I had today on a main heat ex job, literally every 5 mins he woukd come in and just stand there watching not talking!!
Chirag. Any chance you could share the link for the relay video please. I’ve never been able to get my head around those things but would really like to learn more. You’re doing a fantastic job. Thanks
Thanks mate, so I haven't used relays yet but it was off the back of a video where I converted a system from Y-plan to S-plan where people suggested I could have used relays to convert it to low voltage
I'm not clued up enough on the UK regs to know whether you can use a flexible connection to a fixed appliance from a NG supply but where I am (France) it is possible using an approved stainless reinforced flexible which is not susceptible to kink or ignore bend radiuses (or radii for all you intelligent latin speaking engineers)! They are expensive though. As for the trolls, remember that trolling you saves them from trolling some other RUclipsr who does give a f***. I enjoy your content and find you to be a genuine professional. I like the way you show the job 'warts 'n' all' when all the others edit the painful bits out. Your a great brand ambassador for your channel's sponsors and I wish you luck with your venture.
I'm at 3.25 in the video, after hearing you say you took a good few hours to hang 2 rads, I'm glad to hear that. Sometimes i can get a rad marked up and on the wall in no time, other times I've really struggled to do a few rads in a day, absolutely busting my balls. From my point of view, doing full hits, combi's, heat pumps, changeovers and whatnot, i find rads to be probably the hardest, most fiddley of all
Nice job! I felt for you when you were digging that bayonet out 😊. One thing l did notice though, the electrics are wired into the back of that socket, worse case scenario there's a 32amp mcb protecting that hob! Cowboys eh.
Absolutely 💯 brilliant channel and content. The problem is extremely dim people if A hole's were earholes they'd have 2 take no notice of them, also if common sense was common everyone would have it you get my point. Keep doing what you do which In my opinion is spot on
I only watch these clips because it reminds me why I retired😂. I was told in college that using a naked flame on an open ended pipe so close to a gas meter was dangerous, I always put a disc in the meter before I soldered. But hey ho each to their own. 👍👍👍
Mate who cares what the fools say, All long as you enjoy your work that’s all that matters, You will find these guys are just jealous of your skills, Great video as always mate 😎👍🤜
Thank you mate, yeah I don't let it get to me but just wanted to make a point that if these people have something to say then say it to me instead of doing it on another platform
So what if it takes a day to hang/pipe two radiators? What's the problem? Better to do a job nicely, once, than to rush and know you could've it done better. The lad is a professional and better than 95% out there!
Very good example here maybe of a kitchen fitting team getting bullied by a junior Project Manager into getting the job done when they should have said no way it's very dangerous
Normally I could say it was a possibility but this kitchen fitter was hired directly by the landlord and he does this on his days off from his usual shift work
Another great vid, not one to usually post messages but your intro kinda nudged me to let you know that its not all bad and well some people are c**ts and peanchouds. Been watching you and your channel since i started my ACS last year sept, passed the c**t this July and your vids helped a huge amount while i was on the course and gave me a good insight into the trade they've helped me out as a newbie too, your vaillant service vids got me out of a pickle (rick) as well. As for this vid as a newbie i can't touch gas cookers for a year ! 😂😂 Keep em coming
No such thing as an easy job, so true! In the 90's we moved to a tumble down 30's house. On removing old kitchen cabinets I found copper pipe to gas boiler had been threaded in any awkward way and it needed changing to fit new units. Even then no one was available to do the job. So I decided to do it. I cut the old out fitted the new run and fired up a blowlamp, when my wife arrived and said 'I can smell gas'! It was quite strong, putting seeds of doubt in my mind. What to do? Might roof end up in next town?! I fired up the vacuum cleaner, sucked both ends of gas pipe, then soldered the joints. Checked for leaks, job done! Much later I realised how stupid it was to use vacuum cleaner on the gas pipe, it concentrated the gas in the cleaner that has a sparkly commutator motor, why didn't it explode?! Not played with gas since! Thanks for the great content.
Ooh that could have gone left very quickly! Lucky escape! I'm the same if there's a job I'm not confident about doing and could result in a dangerous situation then I'll leave it to the pros
Kitchen fitters are amongst the worst offenders of illegal gas work. In situations like stubborn, stiff connections. I will purge the gas line and apply heat to the fitting. This will soften up the jointing compound. That bayonet would have unscrewed with little effort.
My mate got a shock from some bare twisted wires behind a kitchen unit, feeding the under cupboard lights. The kitchen fitter forgot to finish that part of the job.
I wonder if he was the same one that fitted the original kitchen in a friends house? When we stripped it out for a refit there was a 6mm hole in the wall behind a cupboard in line for a rawl plug. No plug, but there were black scorch marks around the hole and best of all a pencilled note on the bare plaster saying "live"!!! It still was and had left one side of the ring open where he'd drilled through it and cut a live wire, strange it had never been picked up on an electrical test.
The kitchen fitters, plumber/electrician should be reported, due to the gas on the hob and the ignition for hob wired into socket, no plug fused down so more than likely on a 32amp breaker , fire waiting to happen if a fault happened on the hob, great vids mate 👏

It is allowed but needs to be protected from movement and corrosion
This installation is not as per gas regs. You need to be a minimum of 150mm away from a barred cable I.E socket. 25mm from double insulated cable.
