I'm surprised that it worked in the video, and I downloaded this video's version of the editor itself just to make sure it wasn't just a patch (v10 instead of the latest...) but it doesn't seem to work. Can you make any type of move have a hitbox? I want to edit the Waluigi over Sora taunt (the bomb one) to make it do damage. Also, what are all the types of damage you can make a move, what do you call them?
right click images, export selection to a folder of yours. Go into that folder, edit whatever images you like. Go back into JPEXS, replace the old pictures one by one by replacing each image from the one in your folder of the same name. I don't edit the graphics personally, it takes a really long time, and changing other stuff, like hitboxes, shortening end/start lag, making goku able to transform ssj without smash ball... That stuff is more fun IMO.
Some characters will not have midair hover even if you add"midAirHover" it needs to go to jump or jump midair and add this.xframe = "hover"; just to know
How would u go abt adding newcomers to ssf2 by modding moves and attributes from existing characters onto the newcomers... Like, Ike could use Simon's Dtilt as his Dtilt... Or Marth Bair as Mewtwo Bair...

yes, but that is much more complicated, you would need to constantly change the speed of the character while hovering (this.self.setXspeed();) and also you would have to account for the direction they are facing. (this.self.getAttackPosition();) What I am saying is that there is no single variable you can change for the hover speed. (unless you go into the engine, and then edit the data from there, which is probably even more difficult.)
It's one of the first scripts on MainTimeline, "max_jump", it controls how much a character can double-jump It's normally set to 1 (exept for kirby and jiglypuff as they have more jumps)

I found out I can make pound controllable in the air which also makes it so that you can mind game opponents and follow up with it easily (also move backwards with it)... maybe I'll create 2 mods for Jigglypuff- Melee, and Melee-based. But now it can be spammed to forever suspend yourself in the air. That... is a problem.
It is hard to answer your questions when you delete them... Anyways, if you do see this: in main timeline, go and check for (or add if it's not there) "fire" variable and change it to true look for a move that already causes a fire effect, and then copy paste the variable to the move you want.
When you save the file, is it turning into a .swf file? You have to change the ending to a .ssf instead. For some computers you aren't allowed to change file extensions when "renaming" unless you change your windows settings, so make sure to change that setting if you cant rename the file extension from .swf to .ssf
@@normalguy108 Open the folder with the windows file explorer, At the VERY top of the file explorer window there are 4 tabs, click the "view" tab and check the box which says "File Name Extensions" Once you do that, if you try renaming the file, you will also see the extension just like in the video, and you will be able to change it from .swf to .ssf

fs_time_limit means how long the final smash (fs) of that character will fast for. It has nothing to do with heavy armour. very simple, I just added the code "heavyArmor":8, into the middle of his character properties, I'm pretty sure you can do it with anyone you want.
If you don't want him to be too op, just make it so that he doesn't get stunned from really weak moves (like give him 2 heavyarmour) there is also superarmour (tank any move without getting stunned.) and straight up invincibility too, btw..
Superarmor huh... which character has that by default? I've never even seen nor heard about it. The invincibility one, I don't know how to give that to a character, and have them keep it on throughout the entire fight. They'd be unbeatable literally.

All you have to do is change it to an swf file by changing the end from ssf to swf and you can change it back by doing the opposite

if you jump before side-b you go upwards, if you fast fall during the move you go downwards.

time_max (found in main timeline) is the property that dictates how many frames a projectile lasts for before it despawns.

Thanks, I was able to add heavy armor to a custom edited LSS Broly I did! I really am proud of it, though it is a tad-bit too OP.
