I don't understand why they are recommending a damn camera with a disk like it's 1990. Most of us are using laptops and some of our laptops do not have an area where you can put a disc in. I don't know if you meant laptop when you said computer or if you really meant computer when you said computer but if we are using a laptop with no disk area is there another way we can download the software. Can you read the directions and let us know in the comments. I see more than one person asked but you are saying you don't know 😢 but you just flashed the directions right in our eyes. Can you read the little packet that you got with it and tell us if we can connect it another way 🙏🏾 before I buy it I would like to know please ❤ my start day is tomorrow and need a new camera cuz the first one I brought is broken.
Hi there! Sorry if my video is confusing. I used a desk top computer. I’m sure if you have a laptop and connect the usb camera it should be compatible. To be honest I put that camera in a box in my garage somewhere and my garage is a disaster! 😬😳

Hi shecares22, nice to meet you! Whoever is proctoring your exam will tell you exactly how to position the camera so they get the best angle of your hands, the keyboard, and your computer.
I just started, I wish they still gave that kit out! I love swag. I had to buy a gooseneck but my webcam was already good enough. But no doorhanger or mug 😢😢

Hi Jennifer, nice to meet you! Thank you! Yes, I can create a video about that. I choose WGU based on reviews I had seen online and videos I had seen on RUclips.
I had other coworkers at the time tell me pros/cons of Capella and other programs. WGU happened to be the best fit for me.

It’s been a minute since I’ve completed an OA so it’s hard to say off the top of my head.
But I feel like as long as you prep/study and have a generally good understanding of the content you will do well.

Well if you have enough ambition and if your trying to accomplish your goals and get into your career then no it's not to much. That's lazy mentality. If you want your degree bad enough then you do what you have to do. It makes the feeling of graduating that much better. To know you didn't all that hard work. Following the rules for school is not crazy like what 😂 your lazy asf
The question I havent found answered is, are headphones allowed with a mic? How is the student supposed to hear the proctor?
Hi albertc2390, nice to meet you. Good question, the students give the proctor access to their computer. The person proctoring is able to speak through the computer speakers/sound system.

@@albertc2390 Typically, if the PC doesn’t have speakers connected the PC has internal speakers. But WGU has a systems check before you take exams. If there are still issues, the proctor can prob help you troubleshoot.

What if I don't have a disk drive on my laptop to download the software?
Hi user-ms3rp5lu1p, good question! I’m not super tech savvy but… maybe try plugging in the webcam and see if it shows up as an option when connecting via Zoom or when turning on your computer camera.

Is WGU competent in their teaching? Do the students feel competent enough to write exam based on the WGU teaching preparation?
Does tuition fees cover the textbooks or must students pay for texbook differently?
Do the professors give you a kind of site for practicing test before the main exam / test?
Do you think the practicing test is a little bit similar to what you see in the main test or do the professors teach you different and set nonsense that is not close to what you see in the main test ?
Hi there, nice to meet you! My hope is to answer all of these questions to the best of my ability. However, I definitely recommend talking to a WGU counselor who will do a much better job than me.
Each exam is different. I honestly do not remember how many exam questions there where.
As I mentioned in another video, or maybe even this one, I would join cohorts that had pre-recorded content that was discussed and helped to solidify what I was learning in the course. After joining the cohorts, I felt prepared for my exams.
I'm not too sure what you mean by, "is WGU competent in their teaching?" WGU is an accredited college. They hire professors that must be competent to teach the content they are teaching. I felt competent taking my exams and writing any necessary papers. If I was unsure about something I would just reach out to my instructor.
I didn't purchase any textbooks. I believe the tuition covers the cost of the online textbooks/resources needed for the program.
There are no sites for practice tests/exams. Everything is conducted online.
Each class is a little different. I felt well prepared to take my exams and felt that the content presented/taught was aligned with the exam questions.

Hi there! 😂 The disk came with the camera. I believe it was used to download any software a computer may need to use the camera.
