I think it would be so cool if hourglass made a single bronzer, blush, or powder in the special packaging for holidays. I’m not a big fan of face palettes, but the animal packaging these last two years has really tempted me!
I agree. The jellyfish is probably the one I’d buy (if I was going to buy one), but I don’t need or want two different finishing powders, especially since I already own a single of one of them.

Or empty pallets and let us choose what we want in it. And not an outrageous price like they did with that eyeshadow pallet and singles. What a hot mess and way over priced.
I love the concept of a face palette & own several but the reality is I rarely use them. There's always one or two shades that don't suit & the pans are too small. If I could choose my own shades in a refillable palette, now that would tempt me! Would also love for HG to make a cool toned bronzer, as I enjoy the formula but their bronzers all pull orange on me. The packaging is enticing but not enough for me to purchase.
Every year, I want one of these palettes. But truth is, I don’t use the ones I have and finally decluttered them. I just don’t use face palettes like I use singles. I don’t wear highlighter, I don’t use finishing powders often and I have bronzers I love that will take me a hundred years to finish up. It’s literally just the packaging that sucks me in because I have Hourglass blush singles and most of them look the same on the cheek.
Same. I do wear those things, I’m just not a fan of the tiny pans or the palette formulas. To me they seem less smooth than the singles. I could be dreaming that but there’s some reason I don’t use them. The ones I have collect dust so it’s not a smart purchase for me. I’m not even that excited by this artwork this time tbh. It kind of seems like a copy of Chantecaille.
Same. The truth is I prefer matte powders & blushes. They just look better on my light cool-toned skin. And this lite as air formula doesn't last all day!
pink & mauve focused like every hourglass palette before them… they’ll never not disappoint me. after all these years i was hoping to finally have one i loved in these gorgeous illustrated packaging’s, but i feel like i’m trying to talk myself into picking one still, not that i’m having a hard time choosing which one i want.
I kept passing on the Hourglass holiday release until last year... The packaging pulled me right in! Managed to get ahold of the Tiger palette with a discount (Cult Beauty member points) so it wasn't as painful. Absolutely loved it!! I like warm orange browns more than pinks (I'm a light/medium neutral so I was surprised that the darkest palette worked fine on me). Decided to splurge on a second palette but the elephant was sold out everywhere so I got the butterfly. The finishing powder is not for me (I have quite dry skin and I'm in my 40's so it emphasisies my fine lines). I regret the Butterfly palette as the blushes are very pink (and the colours of blush are almost identical). This year I'm tempted by the Jaguar/Leopard/Cheeta (whatever that spotted creature is) and the snake. Definately the snake!!!! Unfortunately I think the owl will be the lightest palette and the snake is made to cater to darker skin tones. It is a shame that they do not make something that is more inclusive.
Hi Charlotte, I read the description before they took the palettes down. The Owl🦉 palette is only the "empty"....so you can choose between 3 color stories and 4 artworks. There is no 4 different color stories after all 😮💨

So the snake palette is the deepest one and probably going to sell out because it’s also the most unique one 😤. Of course it’s got coral colors which I want and everyone else wants because we are sick of pinks and berries.
Will wait to see what owl brings. I’ve seriously hit pan on my blush palette, but the snake looks too deep for me (fair- medium), especially going into winter.
I’ve never had any of these hourglass palettes before so all the shades are new to me. Based on my skin tone, the snake palette would suit me best but I would prefer it in the jellyfish or cheetah packaging. Hopefully this comes to ulta so I can use points to get it.
Thank you Charlotte so they're doing the same thing as last year. It looks like we have three palettes for Light Med and Dark skin tones with the snake being the deepest. I will be buying the shades inside the snake palette but will choose the leopard case. Because we all know hourglass will offer to customize the image like they did last year.
I cannot believe the one palette i love has a snake on it... I hate snakes, they terrify me and I will not have one in my collection LOL The irony... I can only hope they allow us to choose the packaging again. Thank you so much for the review Charlotte!

The snake looks appropriate for deeper skin tones...im interested in seeing it compared to the deeper palette from last year. Depending on the owl palette, ill be picking up the jellyfish!
Snake seemed slightly lighter than last year. So I think the lightest of the dark range it will be fine. But further into the dark range and then the deep range will be out.
Hi Charlotte It’s the Snake palette for me too…if I am spending that money I want nearly all new shades I agree! I have Elephant and Tiger and two other Hourglass palettes but the Snake is calling me 🙋♀️🇬🇧

I too like the snake palette, hopefully you can change out the outer packaging and choose something other than a snake. I don't like snakes if I see one I'm running the other way screaming lol, so I don't want it on my make-up package. Thanks for the update on these. Love from Canada ❤
I think owl will be on exclusive to their website and you can pick the other ones as a base. I think I’ll go for the snake one because I love the variety in blush colours.
The Tiger palette from last year really had my hopes up for this year’s release. I adore that palette! A shade I don’t mind Hourglass including in one of the holiday palettes is the At Night blush. It’s a gorgeous shade that could easily fit in a deeper color story, granted it could come with some newer shades as well
I love the Jellyfish! I can’t really buy these pallets anymore because I am so pale, but this one might work! I am hooding the owl is fair shades, because that one is so beautiful too!

I have one from holiday 2018 and i loved it so much. The bronzer has been gone for years now and every hourglass release I hope they bring back that gorgeous bronzer and they disappoint me every time. As someone who has never owned an hourglass palette… I feel justified in buying one this year! Just not sure which one to choose?! I have a light complexion with neutral undertones. Any suggestions welcome ♥️
I'm fair/light neutral and I have 3 pallets from the last 3 years. The jelly fish & the leopard will work for you ladies and last a long time. In my opinion the snake pallet would be too dark and would be best suited for medium skin tones. Wish we could see the owl one!

I didn't get any palettes last year and I'm glad because I want them all this year. The only colors I have already would be dim light and mood exposure which I love and wouldn't mind having in another palette. One of my favorite blushes of all-time for my light olive skin. If all 3 are available during sale times I will probably purchase all 3. Not much has thrilled me this year during my low-buy but these palettes honestly do. Halleluja, you‘ve spoken right from my soul, as a hourglass user with a lot of palettes and single powders I definetely aggree with the snake palette,5 of 6 new shades that are really beautiful m, that‘s the only palette I‘ll pick up even though all of the palette cases looks really pretty, but that‘s what hourglass do every single year 😃
the Hourglass palette cover with an owl image on it and the golden H stamp gives me Harry Potter vibes everytime I see it 😁 I've been saying that in other youtuber in U.S. but I think it will be more fit for UK 😁😁

I want the snake!! I looove that there are three gorgeous blushes, and that 5/6 shades are new. AND I do not own the one repeat shade, so they all are new to me. I am still curious about what is going on with the owl, too. I was hoping not to want any of them, but there goes my 💸💸💸!
So I've got a few of these by now but the Leopard/Jaguar Palette has four shades that I don't have and have wanted to buy so it's cheaper to buy this way. Then there's the new Blush which I'm here for and then dim light which I agree, they can leave that alone. But wow the snake Palette looks beautiful as well!
Thank you for the video! I read in comments on another video these may be dropping tomorrow, so good to have the scoop. This will be my first of these palettes. The only Hourglass product I own is actually Dim Light, so Leopard is a no from that. I’m thinking Jellyfish (I’m also obsessed with that packaging).

If the owl can be used with the colors for the snake the. That’s what I am getting because I own too many of the Hourglass palettes and that’s the one with the most new shades BUT I am not a fan of snakes so replacing the outer package is a must for me and I love owls. And if the owl is a brand new palette then I am getting it and probably getting the leopard one and skipping on the snake unless I can change the outer packaging

I've never bought one in previous years. The jellyfish looks amazing as does the snake which is the one I wanted. I wish the snake had one lighter (white) highlight shade. So I'm kinda torn. Great review ❤
OR, maybe the Owl is an all blush palette, as they did a few years ago!!! I can only hope :) The snake palette is the most exciting to me, but I am terrified of snakes :(

My favorite holiday release was sometime during the pandemic when they had the 4 blushes! I like the jellyfish and I’m eager to see what the owl will be. I know it’s likely much of the same. I wish they had a bronzer, 2 or 3 blushes and some eyeshadows. I guess they figure if people buy then why bother with creativity?
I'm definitely picking up the snake palette. I love all those blushes! I'm hoping I can customize the packaging to the owl or leopard tho. I do hope they have another palette for those with a deeper skintone because the snake palette looks like it will work for light-medium to medium skintones and maybe..... a slight deeper medium skintone
If they let you choose a case with a different inside I’ll get the leopard case with the snake inside and I have to get the jellyfish just because the packaging is gorgeous! So curious what’s in the owl!
These are beautiful, snake would be my choice, but i have a few palettes from years gone by and singles that I'm not reaching for at the moment. Will be resisting the urge, thoroughly enjoyed this video though. X
I’m so looking forward to getting the jellyfish palette. I bought the butterfly one last year and have almost hit pan on the finishing powders which I absolutely love. I brought the palette with me everywhere I travelled to over the last year. I was so sad though that there was no bronzer in the butterfly palette last year and I think hourglass listened to our feedback. For many of us who have a small or even reasonably extensive makeup collection, the possibility of already having more than 2 hourglass face palette is unlikely. All that to say that I’ve been looking at getting these already existing blushes and I really don’t mind it at all that they are existing shades. All of these new palettes look amazing and complete travel companions. I just wish there was one with deeper shades to cater to a more inclusive range of skin tones. Thank you for showing the pictures in detail!
Love the Jellyfish because of the design and contents. I like the finishing powders and don't collect the edit pallettes annually so this will be useful for me. Am drawn to the snake packaging, too, but not the contents. Am keen to find out about the owl. Repeat of shades from last years pallettes that are not in the permanent line may not be a turn off for those who didnt buy last year. I get where your interest lies and appreciate that you recognise others may have different preferences and needs.
I'm super excited for the snake one, but I'm not sure they will suit my complexion. I feel the bronzer a tad dark. I'm crossing my fingers for owl, too.

Dim light is my favorite finishing powder of all time! 😂🤷🏼♀️ I wish they would put a pink and a peach blush in these pallets. I actually think they did a good job. Remember there are people out there that have none of these products.
It's funny because Dim Light is described as a neutral beige but it pulls orange on me & is too dark. I tried to wear it as a bronzer but the colour is too warm & doesn't look right on me.
I will consider getting Leopard. I don't have those blushes and I will take Dim Light any time, since I use it all the time. It's a beautiful range, imo. I love he Jellyfish artwork, but I am not a fan of the interior. Let's see what Owl brings!
Uhhh, how exciting!! I am eyeing the Jellyfish one! Because I only have one palette which is the Ghost Palette the only repeat shade is Diffused Light, so I am not too bothered. I am curious to know if the Owl is another one or not! Every year I want another palette, considering that my Ghost palette is the most used face palette, so maybe this year 😉
What ai want in these palettes are 2 finishing powders side by side so I can mix them. One bronzer, one highlighter, one cool tone blush and one warm tone blush. I am completely unreasonable? I will pick the jellyfish because I cannot not have it.

Right now I might buy the Jellyfish. I only have one hourglass palette. So I think it’ll work for me. I use the finishing powders as a more subtle highlight. They do have too much glow to use as finishing powders on my skin.

I'm from the land down under Australia so thanks to exclusive rights I can't shop directly from the hourglass website 😭 but hopefully they become available on cult beauty or Selfridges. I have the tiger and elephant palette from last year which I enjoy. I think I'd be most interested in the snake one given it has the most new shades.
I really appreciate this review. Originally I wanted the leopard because I loved the packaging but since it’s all repeat shades, except for one, it’s a definite no for me. I love what’s inside the snake palette but I cannot stand spiders or snakes. I’m hoping that they give us the option this year of picking which inside we want to go with which outside package again. I am also waiting with hope to see what the inside of the owl palette looks like. that will probably be my deciding factor.
Totally agree! I think the packaging options last year made things a bit confusing later. I have no idea which packaging matches to which pallette anymore. I'm hoping I can get the scary snake palette in the Owl if that's why we don't have product pictures for that one. At least it's not a spider!!
why not get the jellyfish packaging with the snake or leopard palette if they offer that again? And I am just crazy enough for blush that I might just do that just to get that new blush shade! It is a stunner!

The best thing is that there are 4 compact products in one. Saves time and space.

I think owl will be on exclusive to their website and you can pick the other ones as a base. I think I’ll go for the snake one because I love the variety in blush colours.
The Tiger palette from last year really had my hopes up for this year’s release. I adore that palette! A shade I don’t mind Hourglass including in one of the holiday palettes is the At Night blush. It’s a gorgeous shade that could easily fit in a deeper color story, granted it could come with some newer shades as well
I love the Jellyfish! I can’t really buy these pallets anymore because I am so pale, but this one might work! I am hooding the owl is fair shades, because that one is so beautiful too!

I have one from holiday 2018 and i loved it so much. The bronzer has been gone for years now and every hourglass release I hope they bring back that gorgeous bronzer and they disappoint me every time. Golden Bronze light 🙏 I'm sure you'll find this comment of mine every year under your hourglass holiday pre-/reviews 🤣
Leopard and Snake for me! One has all my favourites and the other is just gorgeous newness!!! I use these palettes everyday so a no brainer for me x

The jelly fish & the leopard will work for you ladies and last a long time. In my opinion the snake pallet would be too dark and would be best suited for medium skin tones. Wish we could see the owl one!

I didn't get any palettes last year and I'm glad because I want them all this year. The only colors I have already would be dim light and mood exposure which I love and wouldn't mind having in another palette. One of my favorite blushes of all-time for my light olive skin. If all 3 are available during sale times I will probably purchase all 3. Not much has thrilled me this year during my low-buy but these palettes honestly do. Halleluja, you‘ve spoken right from my soul, as a hourglass user with a lot of palettes and single powders I definetely aggree with the snake palette,5 of 6 new shades that are really beautiful m, that‘s the only palette I‘ll pick up even though all of the palette cases looks really pretty, but that‘s what hourglass do every single year 😃
I only have one palette so far, the elephant, so I’m definitely picking up the leopard one. Maybe the jellyfish…we’ll see

the Hourglass palette cover with an owl image on it and the golden H stamp gives me Harry Potter vibes everytime I see it 😁 I've been saying that in other youtuber in U.S. but I think it will be more fit for UK 😁😁

I want the snake!! I looove that there are three gorgeous blushes, and that 5/6 shades are new. AND I do not own the one repeat shade, so they all are new to me. I am still curious about what is going on with the owl, too. I was hoping not to want any of them, but there goes my 💸💸💸!

So I've got a few of these by now but the Leopard/Jaguar Palette has four shades that I don't have and have wanted to buy so it's cheaper to buy this way. Then there's the new Blush which I'm here for and then dim light which I agree, they can leave that alone. But wow the snake Palette looks beautiful as well!

The only Hourglass product I own is actually Dim Light, so Leopard is a no from that. I’m thinking Jellyfish (I’m also obsessed with that packaging).

If the owl can be used with the colors for the snake the. That’s what I am getting because I own too many of the Hourglass palettes and that’s the one with the most new shades BUT I am not a fan of snakes so replacing the outer package is a must for me and I love owls. And if the owl is a brand new palette then I am getting it and probably getting the leopard one and skipping on the snake unless I can change the outer packaging

I've never bought one in previous years. The jellyfish looks amazing as does the snake which is the one I wanted. I wish the snake had one lighter (white) highlight shade. So I'm kinda torn. Great review ❤
OR, maybe the Owl is an all blush palette, as they did a few years ago!!! I can only hope :) The snake palette is the most exciting to me, but I am terrified of snakes :(

My favorite holiday release was sometime during the pandemic when they had the 4 blushes! I like the jellyfish and I’m eager to see what the owl will be. I know it’s likely much of the same. I wish they had a bronzer, 2 or 3 blushes and some eyeshadows. I guess they figure if people buy then why bother with creativity?

I’m so looking forward to getting the jellyfish palette. I bought the butterfly one last year and have almost hit pan on the finishing powders which I absolutely love. I brought the palette with me everywhere I travelled to over the last year. I was so sad though that there was no bronzer in the butterfly palette last year and I think hourglass listened to our feedback. For many of us who have a small or even reasonably extensive makeup collection, the possibility of already having more than 2 hourglass face palette is unlikely. All that to say that I’ve been looking at getting these already existing blushes and I really don’t mind it at all that they are existing shades. All of these new palettes look amazing and complete travel companions. I just wish there was one with deeper shades to cater to a more inclusive range of skin tones. Love the Jellyfish because of the design and contents. I like the finishing powders and don't collect the edit pallettes annually so this will be useful for me. Am drawn to the snake packaging, too, but not the contents. Am keen to find out about the owl. Repeat of shades from last years pallettes that are not in the permanent line may not be a turn off for those who didnt buy last year. I get where your interest lies and appreciate that you recognise others may have different preferences and needs.
I'm super excited for the snake one, but I'm not sure they will suit my complexion. I feel the bronzer a tad dark. I'm crossing my fingers for owl, too.

It's funny because Dim Light is described as a neutral beige but it pulls orange on me & is too dark. I tried to wear it as a bronzer but the colour is too warm & doesn't look right on me.
I will consider getting Leopard. I don't have those blushes and I will take Dim Light any time, since I use it all the time. It's a beautiful range, imo. I love he Jellyfish artwork, but I am not a fan of the interior. Let's see what Owl brings!

Because I only have one palette which is the Ghost Palette the only repeat shade is Diffused Light, so I am not too bothered.

What ai want in these palettes are 2 finishing powders side by side so I can mix them. One bronzer, one highlighter, one cool tone blush and one warm tone blush. I am completely unreasonable? I will pick the jellyfish because I cannot not have it.

Right now I might buy the Jellyfish. I only have one hourglass palette. So I think it’ll work for me. I use the finishing powders as a more subtle highlight. They do have too much glow to use as finishing powders on my skin.

The snake palette is very intriguing but I'm going to wait for swatches, as im afraid some of the shades will be to dark for my skin tone.
I'm from the land down under Australia so thanks to exclusive rights I can't shop directly from the hourglass website 😭 but hopefully they become available on cult beauty or Selfridges. I have the tiger and elephant palette from last year which I enjoy. I think I'd be most interested in the snake one given it has the most new shades.
I really appreciate this review. Originally I wanted the leopard because I loved the packaging but since it’s all repeat shades, except for one, it’s a definite no for me. I love what’s inside the snake palette but I cannot stand spiders or snakes. I’m hoping that they give us the option this year of picking which inside we want to go with which outside package again. I am also waiting with hope to see what the inside of the owl palette looks like. that will probably be my deciding factor.
Totally agree! I think the packaging options last year made things a bit confusing later. I have no idea which packaging matches to which pallette anymore. I'm hoping I can get the scary snake palette in the Owl if that's why we don't have product pictures for that one. At least it's not a spider!!
