    I am humbled and smitten with how much respect and admiration the director and actors have for each other. What a beautiful and raw show of understanding and acceptance between such unique and different people. That's truly how you creat an equally beautiful movie. They humbly respect each other with no judgment, just pure acceptance and an enamoring amount of trust for what each are capable of within their field of artistry. Amazing.

      I dont think its true… maybe for teenagers or people who’s not interested in cinema. He’s doing a lot of really interesting things, even Scorsese said “he’s the best actor of his generation, or any generation” 😎

    • @moma-b
      @moma-b 2 года назад

      @@edgar7021 If you get the population of the whole world, and ask them: "do you know who Adam Driver is?", most of them will say: I have no idea. But if you ask: "You know Star Wars? Kylo Ren?", they will remember. And if you get the list of all movies Adam Driver ever made, Star Wars hits all his movies worldwide in view. It's his only blockbuster movie. As simple as that. ;)

    for me - now and in the future - more than ever art will be more and more important - Jim Jarmush is a kind of prophet here... this wonderful cameo delicate ironic truthful movie - poetry in everyday life - our lives - a movie that shows us the daily rhythm of life - slow - same little things ...so precious - the attitudes toward life - a bus driver developing his poem , love story his wife a creative passionate lady - all over his life - in sync with his nature - and the dog :-) this is Cinema - just love his work - amazing .

      Tafami I found it to feel more like I was sitting in the room as part of the discussion rather then distracting or uncomfortable. I felt like it was just a personal experience, like we were sitting in a living room chatting. A book club style interview. Much better then the press conference feel I get from most interviews.

    To my embarrassment, I've seen films by Jim Jarmusch but often blissfully ignorant of everything outside of "the movie". I at all times am aware of the people working on it. As in "the person who crafted or placed or picked that detail" but not in "names and faces of the actual people". Since I'm not very good at memorising them anyways (unless it goes 'click' and suddenly I'll see every detail and perceive more than I often should). So it's the first time I hear and see Mr. Jarmusch and..... goodness.... I knew the director of this Film must be someone I find wonderful but it's even better. And I see this long desk with people who are quiet and pleasant and perceptive, humble, dedicated to the process. I'd feel at home with them upon entering the same room for sure.
    That said, I wish the ending hadn't been disrupted. That aggressive and close approach by media people at the end was displaced and ignorant. If you do not know that you need to maintain the safe space for introverts at all times, then you're not doing your job well and on top of that ruin things for everyone. It's what breaks the connection between people working in the eye of large public and media people (or any other type of party ignorant of their privacy and need for space, respect, consideration). I'm ashamed for them 🤦‍♀️ They should have been sent to the very back like children who forgot about the "don't jostle"-rule.
    I'll go watch some more Adam Driver to soothe my discomfort with that last bit.

      Because he didn't want to be asked to share a poem. He was writing them for himself. And that was enough.

    I didnt like how this film started. The cinematography gave it an eerieness that, with the setting of Paterson, made the film start like it was gonna end up being a thriller??? The soundtrack added to this strange feeling the opening act gave me, and Adam Driver's dialogue was really short, low and awkward. His lonely walking around, too and from work, listening to people's stories, then going to a bar at night, leaving his dog to wait outside, kinda adds to this. I was expecting a kinda simple and warming look at everyday life for the everyman, but my god was it so creepy. I just couldnt

      I disagree, I found his answered to be a very introspective and contemplative. He seems a man of few words and though very quiet, his answered can get. Little lost in lol of the thought he puts behind the questions. I don't think that's a bad thing but a very genuine thing.

    • @johnjungkook2721
      @johnjungkook2721 6 лет назад +15

      beflygelt I disagree. Most actors in these situations are just acting, so they have a script for all these answers basically memorized. That is super boring to me. Adam is genuine and obviously intelligent. If I wanted a scripted dim-wit, I'd watch a movie.
