@@capricornqueen6916 in NJ we have a sandwich which we call a sloppy Joe and it’s meat Swiss coleslaw and Russian dressing on rye it’s served in most Jewish Delis in the area so yes it is a sloppy Joe just the NJ version not the ground beef version

I looked up the menu of Flakowitz and it literally says what is in their sloppy joe. These guys read the menu, ordered it, and were surprised it wasn't what they expected even though the menu clearly said what it was. They've been so ignorant and disrespectful for a while now, ever since they left LA tbh

As a jew in this area, I can tell you Flakowitz is not a good jewish deli. My favorite one around here is 3-G's in Delray. I love stuffed cabbage (which is what that meatball with rice in the cabbage) and that was a disgrace if it was actually still frozen inside. My mom makes the most amazing stuffed cabbage (who also lives in Delray... hit me up if you want to try her stuffed cabbage).
That's what i said! We call them cabbage rolls and they are delicious! I can't imagine them cold though. Yuck
They gave yall a corned beef special, not a sloppy joe....yall should inquire about the food ur eating before u eat it...Corned Beef Special has cornedbeef,coleslaw, and Russian or some say 1000 island dressing, and they added cheese...smh oh yeah on rye bread😂😂

If you are talking about Houstons on the water in Fort Lauderdale or close to there I was just there last month and I thought the food was mediocre at best compared to what your playing. The filet was good but the ribeye was terrible.

The chicken in the gyro didn’t taste like much because it’s chicken!! Chicken in general doesn’t have a taste unless it is brined, marinated, or has seasoning, sauce, or breading all over it.

A sloppy Joe is supposed to be pulled pork with bbq sauce. That sandwich you got corned beef sandwich/reuben was probably someone else’s order and they mixed it up.
The sandwich was definitely wrong but a sloppy Joe isn't pulled pork with bbq sauce either. That's a bbq sandwich. A sloppy Joe is ground beef simmered in a tomato based sauce
I guess it depends on where you're from. Where I'm from, a sloppy joe is ground beef with a sauce that's a little tomato-ish, a little bbq-ish.
That is a sloppy joe, just a different style - it's mostly from delis in NY and NJ (and a lot of people from NY and NJ live here in S Florida now so, that checks out).

I told you once before Deerfield Beach is my hometown I was at the whale's rib the day they opened and the bar next door flanagan's it used to be called big daddy's high tide was my hangout I think I owned half of it as much money as I spent there. The purple coleslaw they use purple cabbage that was their signature thing when they opened up over 40 years ago. I'm glad to see you in my hometown and checking out some of the restaurants I opened six restaurants in Boca Raton but they're all closed up now one's a Hooters and I don't know what the rest of them are anyway enjoy Deerfield Beach i what's a great place to hang. If you go down to Fort Lauderdale there's a sub shop called Las Paradis Italian Subs they've been there over 50 years they make one of the best Subs you ever put in your mouth. I actually had a friend of mine who was flying back from down there bring me a sub back that's how good they are peace oh and no shrimp in the Greek restaurant they were wrapped with phyllo dough same stuff that they use in baklava

That was a cabbage roll. I dont know why it was cold. Ive had them my whole life. If done right, they are delicious. I made some the other day with mashed potatoes and steamed buttered corn. Yummmmm
