Joey, it won't work if the Txt, CSV file export date setting are not set to M/D/YYYY, in Europe we use D/M/YYYY, I spend a few hours trying to bcp almost a 1million records to SQL server from a flat file and the problem was the format of the date. It might be worth mentioning!

PS It might be worthwhile creating a Batch file to store and edit the script while tweaking, that what I did at least.

Hi i converted excel to CSV file. But one of my excel filed already contains comma. but while converting from excel to CSV it was saved as sample record: "fails, but not work",yes,12,"raj"
so while using BCP it is failing. Please tell me how to handle this
