    I got a XC90 T 6 inscription with everything but the high end stereo , and on 20 inch rims for a better ride and I payed 70,468 out the door. I also picked it up at the factory in Sweden and it was great. In fact it was so good we are doing it again at the end of 2020 or beginning of 21 if you pick it up at the factory you save about 10 grand. Hope this helps

    Hi Clifford 🙂, excellent review of the 2020 XC90, with the size of the SUV it's surprising to me how snug the 3rd row is from what I've heard. The XC90 looks very tall from the outside, so the snug 3rd row is a bummer. The scene in your review with you sitting on the booster seat with the seat belt on was everything 😄. Clifford, how many miles is on your 1998 Volvo S70, did you buy it new in '98 or pre-owned later on? The S70 was actually my dream car since I was in high school at the time when the Volvo 850 transitioned to S70. I love the original boxy shape of both cars since it's distinctly Volvo. I'm not sure if the newest Volvo's have that distinct interior smell of a new Volvo from the '90s, I love that unique smell, there's nothing like it. You probably know what I'm talking about. I absolutely love Volvo sedans between 1993-2000. Do you live in the New England region? I was going by how bundled up you are in this review.

    • @cliffcarreviews
      @cliffcarreviews 4 года назад +1

      Thank you! I have 75,000 on my S70. It was my grandfather's, and he bought it a year old with only 9000 miles. I probably need a new alternator. And certain minor things I don't use like the rear window and driver's seat heater would cost too much to fix, but the car as a whole is built to last.

    • @221ddj
      @221ddj 4 года назад +2

      Test drive a Telluride or Palisade and you will see that it's a far superior vehicle mechanically. Quiet, logical infotainment, reliable, not as good looking, but that's about it. I can't wait to get rid of my Volvo. If the GV80 weren't coming, I'd get a Telluride or Palisade...and I'm far from poor. I get compliments on how my S90 looks until I tell them about the maintenance nightmare this POS is. I'd rather drive a Chrysler product over this thing. If you've had an accident in a Volvo, lucky you, because short of the safety, there is no true value in owning one produced after 2003.

    • @221ddj
      @221ddj 4 года назад +2

      @@josephwallis3396 Glad you mentioned that. What makes a vehicle a "Luxury" car, objectively speaking? Is it the features, the quality of materials, the performance, the brand, the badge or consumer perception? Also, at what point does a luxury car, turn into a regular ol car? Surely a 2001 Bentley isn't worth more than a 2020 Stinger...and if it were, are the materials, technology or fit and finish truly better at this point?
      As a person that can afford any car that I truly want and have owned and leased great cars and Volvos...I'd say the Volvo is the least luxurious, luxury brand I've ever owned outside of visually. I understand the "just a Kia" argument, but it's not founded in logic, more a raw emotional response to price versus value.

      For the last 2 years. But nothing in this segment is as reliable as an mdx or Lexus offering

    • @221ddj
      @221ddj 4 года назад +2

      It won't...guaranteed. For starters, it's a European car and they are built to lease. Second, all of the screens and tech will be outdated and lagging in a few weeks. Not to mention, the reliability of Volvos is absolute shit, and that's not even my disgruntled Volvo owner take, look at the list of most and least reliable vehicles...Volvo is in the bottom 3. Volvo's make platinum polished turds across the entire product line.

Larger SUVs are a dime a dozen from one side of the U.S. to the other. Not to mention full sized pickup trucks which are also everywhere. Full sized pickups are as rare as hens' teeth over there. Great looking, great hype...POS. Once you get to know the new Volvos, you realize there is a lot of common sense absent from functionality. Aesthetically amazing, but think about the storage for glasses or the fact that there isn't much storage space in the middle, cup holders annoying and anything short of the T6 AWD is like driving a bus. All of these issues before touching the infotainment flaws. The lag is awful, having to go into the screen for seat and steering wheel heat as well as Heat/AC it can get super annoying. Also, the Volvo chick does not understand a lot. When the temp drops, these things lag even more. AND you have to use that screen for everything. The HUD is worthless as are the steering controls. The tire pressure monitoring system doesn't even tell you what the pressure is...just that a tire is low (not which tire, just a tire). Volvo is not competitive with any of the real SUV's in any category besides aesthetics and safety. It's a Fail for me.
