The .00 clearance rule works for pretty much any retail store. Items that go on clearance will have the price reduced again if it doesnt sell for long enough. Eventually it will hit its lowest price and if it still doesnt sell after that it will be thrown away or sent back to the supplier, essentially a loss for the store. You can tell if an item is at its lowest clearance price if it ends in .00 otherwise you can wait for it to go lower, if no else takes it first 😅
If the gift card thing works you can technically share a membership with a group of friends by everyone paying their share toward it + their grocery budget and you buy the gift cards in those amounts

It's to keep costs low. In the us costco has some of the lowest prices for groceries across almost all things they carry. In order to keep those low costs, a yearly membership is needed in order to go in and shop. The regular membership is only like 40 USD for the whole year, but plenty of people buy a membership and don't make use of it, which ends up making costco a profit.

A hack video with actual insights! What a pleasant surprise
Why is this man not already hired as the Costco spokesperson? This man loves Costco more than most people love their own friends.
You can buy alcohol without membership too. Great combo meds and alcohol 😂
As a non american i gotta ask...you need membership to shop at a store??
Only specific stores. They used to be for small businesses to get cheaper bulk items but have since turned into just bulk groceries shopping
Costco exists OUTSIDE the USA.
It's a wholesale warehouse chain that happens to sell to the public, not an ordinary supermarket. Also, there are a pile of them around the world - Japan has 30+ alone.
You can also buy baby oil in bulk
You can get in with the giftcard sometimes. But you can't buy anything until you have your actual membership card at checkout
I thought Cosco was a fast food restaurant just like Subway, not an exclusive huge grocery store
I just walk in the exit with no card or anything and head straight to the food court to buy me some hotdogs
Please please open in Homestead, Florida. On US1. The only road in and out of the Florida keys. The only road in and out of Monroe County Florida. It is going to be the "Southernmost" Costco in the USA guarantee.
I have used a gift card with $1 left to get in and purchase $350 worth of stuff using my credit card.
Also some states allow you to go in purchase alcohol only. Those states have a law that do not allow alcohol to go behind a "membership wall"
You should listen and taking notes when a dude that have no money for shoes is explaining how to cut the costs. Usually such people are the most adept on the topic.
The pharmacy at costco is not only just for prescriptions, you can also buy plan b pills for much cheaper that other retail locations without a membership
Why am I watching this in central Asia (Uzbekistan)
Why would you need a membership to shop in a supermarket? What's wrong with America?
look up “costco”.. learn about it compared to other grocery stores.. some find it a rip off, millions of people love it 😊
They might scan cards now.
My Costco lets you go in and get food from the food court and look around the store as long as you don’t buy any products without even a gift card
You should also know that you can just have someone with a costco membership buy you a gift card with the amount you plan to spend at costco and you can shop at costco with no membership. You're welcome.
I live in mexico and ive entered Costco without a membership card or giftcard, all ive said if that am comparing prices😂😂😂
apoco? jaja
Why am I watching this I'm Australian lmao
Literally none of these are hacks...
You look like Daniel Dae Kim
Metro for the Usa😮
Wow never got so much information in a short video 😮
Oh noo, not the Death Star... RIP James Earl Jones :(
Meanwhile Sam's Club you can just walk in to lol
A membership just to shop there 😅 so pay us money to pay us money and make us money.......did i mention i want your money 😂
FYI, if you’re not happy with your membership Costco will refund you your money 😉 honestly Costco is amazing in their policies and their guarantees, I have literally dropped an entire container of blueberries in the parking lot and they let me choose between a refund or a replacement. I have also returned moldy/spoiled foods on multiple occasions too. Honestly the membership is worth it solely due to their customer satisfaction policies 😉
So i need a card to enter Costco ?
Heck yeah love the organic one
Costco got some crazy lore
Totaly usefull when i am not from US 😂
Costco needs to only stock medium shirts
as a non-american let me get this straight, you guys need a membership to enter a supermarket???
Not all supermarkets are like This I think, only that store is like this
When you are from europe costco its like Metro
No dumb ass just this store. Why tf would this be the norm?
the membership cost buys you a place to shop away from "urban" folks
It’s a private membership warehouse. It’s not open to the public. Anyone can get a membership it’s $60 a year.
You can buy in bulk in this store, unlike a grocery store at cheaper prices.
not the death star 😢😢😢😢
Wait... You are required to have a membership to enter to a costco? I thought it was like going to wallmart or any supermarket (I'm clearly not from usa)
You need a membership to enter a store?! How did America turn shopping into a fucking subscription service
ok im actually so confused... are you telling me i cant shop there if i dont have some kind of "membership card"? what in the absolute dystopian bull is this????
