I think it's awesome that people actually ride it these days. when I was a kid it went unridden. For years I'd marvel at the consistency of it but it was too close to the rocks for me. The next point along was a different story though and I've ridden that breaking on the back shelf lol a beautiful part of the country well it was back then I suspect that it's a bit more crowded these days but good on them lol "Aussie Chopes" lol great nickname for it
I hope to operate my drone as good as this or at least half as good as this one day. Excellent drone piloting! Thank you so much! Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii
I was about to post the same thing. the smaller ones are just dragging people into the rocks even when they make it. it looks like the bigger ones dont get the backwash as much either....
All the countries with crowded famous surf breaks like Australia pushes surfers to more remote dangerous waves there are hundreds of these in Australia the bonus is it produces high level surfing...
It was probably mid 90s before mobile phones, and the internet. If I remember correctly it was stolen and they took if for a joy ride and used it like a 4x4.
in a little tiny town, population 698 , somewhere on the east coast of australia, that has a shit ton of insane reefs (6 other reefs and points) with in 100 meters to 1.5 k of this wave and a few more epic ones just down the road. and we shall not mention it.

kudos to that guy, backhand on a long surfboard wow !! Just as many cameras as surfers !!
Mid-length, goofy, the town, the style, I assume it is Lachie…
props to the guy surfing it on a midlength on his backhand - solid style
Lachie Rombouts, legend
Hell yeah totally agree with you aloha hope you're doing well
This spot looks pretty insane!
That was nuts! So close to the rocks.
Abslotutely the best drone footage I’ve seen. Targets stayed center the entire time on every clip!!! Mad drone skills👍🏽👍🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Agreed, Sky Monkey is an absolute weapon with that drone!

when the swell is smaller outside of holidays on week days you can surf spots all to your self still here. if people are chasing a swell the no.
That's some serious energy unloading on a reef. Those barrels are sick.😊❤
Best clip I've seen in years. Epic
old school wipeout section at the end really shows how critical this place is. Solid vid.
Thanks 🤙
Definitely Dangerous! Brass Balls Skating those Jetties! Hope no 1 ended up? 🤕 🤙
Only thing tougher than this crew are the barnacles hanging onto that ledge
Unreal footage. The surfers were getting covered.
EPIC shots @skymonkey5 !!!💥💥💥💥
Cheers mate - appreciate the feedback
Finally some good footage of wild cattle Creek Mouth- tannum sands
Insane Left, looks fully make able. I would go for it on my body board. Love crazy left breaks👍
So good !
I have never seen a more gnarley wave this must be terrifying to ride its almost dry reef the whole way through !!!
Perfect 💪🏼
Great video but I still reckon no music serves the video better. It's great just hearing the waves and the surfing environment.
Fabulous footage 😮😮😮😮
Thanks
Surfed it a few times, hated every moment haha
🤣👌
Absolute madness can’t stop watching this video
Cheers legend! Got a new one popping (hopefully) later, different spot but same vibes 🤙

Sketchy 🤘💯

Sky Monkey is the man!! Look him up on Instagram, loads more like this 👌
Aussies do it best 💪💪
Still the most intimidating spot ive surfed. The drone angle dosnt even do it justice of how heavy it is.
I'm looking at it like wtf you know its gotta be insane in person we need the pov out there
Looks HELLA heavy
crazy ride :)
Killer Edit !!! Thanks
Cheers legend 🤙🤙
Makes Cape Solander look like Trestles
@skymonkey5 Reminds me of a short wave near Mystics you've probably shot before. Drone work on point as usual
Big drop.
6:42 is the reality of the place...........dry surging exposed ledge end section
Awesome footage , brill camera man .
Sky Monkey, best in the business
Damn!! 😁
would have been nice to see how they handle the rocks after a crash
Aussie Teahupo’o!!!
Belle vue aérienne
Wow
Que belleza del señor
I saw the thumbnail and it looked very familiar, I grew up around this area, this whole stretch of coast is so underrated, i miss it dearly.
Bro riding an absolutely massive longboard essentially (way too thick for a hun even if it did have a pointed tip) was super impressive
🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
One of the better sessions I've seen in literally 60+ years of surfing. Keep these coming. Aloha
It’s a banger for sure! Will do mate Yeww 🤙
👌💎
When the whitewater really doesn’t go anywhere, you know there’s trouble below
Looks like the bigger waves are actually safer!
I was about to post the same thing. the smaller ones are just dragging people into the rocks even when they make it. it looks like the bigger ones dont get the backwash as much either....
🚁 😉 this 🌊 is sick
🤙🤙🤙
Aussie death slab should be the name of the backing track band
Bigger version of surge at shark island
who the fack is that guy charging it with a gun 😂 big balls
Probably Lachie Rombouts
Is that Voodoo Cronulla has a shallow needle sharp reef.
yo can you imagine going over the falls here?!!
is this a beach break??? looks equally shallow and deadly, these dudes are nutters
Nah its not a beach break, its a heavy slab, just off a rock platform.
fark this is nuts
fackin hell mate that was mental 🔥🔥
I had to work that day.
Fark me.. Gnarly
Hey look, a teeny tiny Teahupo'o
Teahupoo 2.0🏄
Looks like somewhere on the SC
All the countries with crowded famous surf breaks like Australia pushes surfers to more remote dangerous waves there are hundreds of these in Australia the bonus is it produces high level surfing...
It’s not that remote tho - it’s just a spot nobody thought was surfable until it was.
Made me pop my pants
Anyone remember the ferrari burried in a giant 4x4 puddle, on the track out to this place years ago.
really. its a rough rocky track. surely there's photos of that.
It was probably mid 90s before mobile phones, and the internet. If I remember correctly it was stolen and they took if for a joy ride and used it like a 4x4.
HOW DID THE FIRST DUDE COME OUT IM TRYNA HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD LIKE THAT
That'll be the Aussie Tahiti imagine that at 20-ft
Great video. Ridden it a few times 15 years ago. What's with the jerk-Skis?
Can someone tell me. Why did the bodyboarder bail at 4.12? He enjoy heavy wipeouts?
Snagged the reef
i like slabs
Moonlight or grey river
Nicest wave I never heard of!!!!
in a little tiny town, population 698 , somewhere on the east coast of australia, that has a shit ton of insane reefs (6 other reefs and points) with in 100 meters to 1.5 k of this wave and a few more epic ones just down the road. and we shall not mention it.
@@danb8877 We all know it's snapper in reverse mate, you're not fooling anyone.
NASTY WAVE
Imagine how good this would be with good music and good water footage?
Very little margin for error. Experts only at this spot.
Where is this???
One mistake implies death
Yoooo
Tough wave to surf 🥴
where is this?
id love to see see this spot at dawn with an offshore and at high tide
Hasta tiene que jugar en Francia verano, ,no no
The only thing scarier than the wave itself Is the psycho music you chose for this video...
Mental
