To anyone trying to play on 1.7.1, if you use steam, go into properties > betas > Use 1.7.0. Enjoy the mod, it's awesome! Points to "improve" of your review: - Visual mods that came with JNSQ were not installed. - Terrain settings are set to default, not the custom ones provided. - Did not notice the updated planet descriptions - Thumbnail not representative of the mod
Kopernicus actually works with the newest version, but it breaks solar panels. There is however way to fix this, open this *GameData/Kopernicus/Config/SolarPanels.cfg* and put a *//* comment indicator before *@name = KopernicusSolarPanel*. This will line reworks how solar panels gather energy, so they can work with multiple or different stars, disabling it will revert solar panels configuration back to unmoded - so it will work on Kerbol, but not on any other star.
Since then some things have changed on JNSQ. Lindo now has a fith moon: Huygen, inspired by Titan, just looks like Titan. Some textures have been revammped (gas giants look better and inspired Squad for the stock Jool revamp) as well but Kopernicus having changed hands, development of JNSQ is on hold for now.
This looks like a good mid way option for moving towards realism overhaul. No where near RSS, but large enough that real fuels might not feel as cheaty as I have hear it does in stock Kerbol system.
So... I installed this mod and Eve, Jool and a few more planets were completely black. I could see some spheres flashing around them but there was absolutely no texture visible... did anyone else encounter this bug too?
@@XdyLsd12 I did already, but still thanks! The older version indeed works, but the atmosphere looks kinda weird so I am using an "alcvfg" config from TUXF
Cool. It always confuses me how you say for instance "duna is 800km in size" when it is actually 1600 as your reading the radius of the planet and not it's diameter. :~)
@@olafwijnhoven9493 Take visual mods to have clouds. Clouds just look like Venus's. And as they want a more realistic touch, obviously Eve's terrain can't possibly look purple...

Gameslinx nice
Also, you skipped over Huygen
another one to add for insult to injury
he said moho when he switched to minmus
the new laythe looks like a place bionicles would be from
If only Scott Manley would do a playthrough on this. Also EVE works with this mod adding the usual clouds and visual enhancements to it.
Does SVE work?
@@jaypaint4855 Not sure, but SVE is made by Galileo who made JNSQ as well, JNSQ comes with it's own high res textures to begin with.
7:07 Nara has a 40 bar atmosphere... not exactly thin
Lolz
>sees planet
>atmosphere 40* thickness of our atmosphere
>"thin atmosphere"

3:24 lets not forget that he called minmus, "Moho"
KottabosGames you have made me want to download this mod right this instant, thank you so much for showcasing this!!!! :D

I love these videos, always very helpful! Don't stop please.
almost all of the moons are samey
Agree

You need to download old version of scatterer if I remember correctly
0.0772 i think

3:24 Minmus, my dear KottabosGames. Not Moho :P
>:)
KottabosGames don't even care about this comment...
But I do.
@@randomkerbal but you did. Thanks a lot
in his defense jnsq made minmus so bland it's easy to mix them up.
This new overhaul is just as good as shit
I just subbed really love the content mate
would you believe hes been pumping out content for 3 years now? Almost daily uploads too
Jayden Shadlow yea

WELL THX YOU!!! Each time I launch KSP and i ear the intro music, i am waiting the "HEYYYY HELLO WELCOME BACK TO.... Kerbal...".. Many thx dude :D
Wow this is beautiful! 😮
That Skyrim reference tho at 6:05
No heart on Eeloo?!
it gets some moons at least
Elloo stays close to its original which resembles more like Europa than Pluto.
In JNSQ, Hamek seems more like a Pluto analogue.
And what this galorious creation looks to add intodegame
It’s the best mod. Note: u either play on 1.8.1 or 1.12 l.1
7:35 were you referring to tekto?
Do KerbalKonstructs bases (Kerbinside, Kosmodrome, etc.) work with the rescale or do their coordinates need to be adjusted?
Love the vids
Why would you review this without EVE and Scatterer? It's like reviewing a pizza without cheese or sauce!
I'm not happy with the Eve retexture.
The entire color and characteristics has been swapped out with a bland sandy wasteland. *:(*
Yeah I think it should have more purple oceans and more clouds
@@olafwijnhoven9493 Take visual mods to have clouds. Clouds just look like Venus's. And as they want a more realistic touch, obviously Eve's terrain can't possibly look purple...
@@quoniam426 Who knows, maybe there is a purple planet out there somewhere. (point still taken)

-minmus- moho
Will you review the Kerbol Origins planet pack? It's been these for like 4 years...
Minimus* not Moho.
>:(
i have the ksp 1.81 and i cant make EVE and scatterer works with this mod, the buttons from these two appear white, its weird.
3:24 I think you meant Minmus.
Enon - Elon. what u were thinking? (elon as in elon musk)
Audrey Corners
does kottabosgames reply?
Could you review RealExpansion? It's an expansion for RealSolarSystem, made by "Our Benefactors"
Ahh the usual space-engine-texture type of mod...
You said Moho when you meant Minmus. Haha :D
>:C
1.2gb ...
Not the best Planet Pack at all...
its quite boring
What's the best then :p
Portalfan04 Galaxies Unbound - still in works but the scope is mindboggling. That’s a real planet pack
It's made by Galileo... just remember that name when you finally get to play with this modpack and start regretting this comment :D
Its funny how no one cares
