    These boots remind me of the TCX RT Race boots I’m currently using

      I got a pair of them about 2 months ago. I love them. I was a bit put off by them not being leather but I honestly think they are easier to keep looking good. They took about 3 wears to conform to the shape but they are perfect. I contacted TCX about replacement toe sliders, it was painless.

      Pretty much all of the boots are made from a synthetic leather that is better for footwear than genuine leather. - Van

    Totally off topic, but I would love if you and Max could do a How to get into track riding video!
    You might already have one so I apologize for asking if you do, but there’s so many RUclips videos on this topic, but something that’s seriously reputable from you dudes would be so much better.
    Thanks!

    I have the TCX RT Race which are very similar. Personally, I found them hard to get into because you can't get a good grip on the interior booty to pull them up. They protect well enough, I suppose, but certainly next time I'll go back to the Supertech. STG is great!

    How do these fit around the calves? Along with a suit.?

    Hi! Thank you for the review! These look exactly the same as TCX RT Race. What is the level of CE protection? Are the CE 2-2-2 rated?

    • @sportbiketrackgear

      All their product feature listing info says CE certified but does not call out the level. - Van

      @sportbiketrackgear thanks Van! :) On my Forma Ice Pro they have specified the exact CE 1-2-1 rating on the back of the white label inside the boot. I really hope this one is 2-2-2 rated as the TCX RT Race. Did they really not specified the exact CE rating?

    How do these fit for large calves and fitment with a race suit?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Месяц назад

      The opening is reasonable and will work for most. They only way to know is to try. Order a pair, wear them in the house to make sure they will work for you and you can return them if they do not work out. For more focused help with this please shoot an email to maxvan@sportbiketrackgear.com and Max will get you all sorted out. - Van

    Hum... These may be my next pair of boots. Forma Freccia's were the only boots I could get my wide feet in. Do Forma's run consistent in size between their lines, like is a 40 Phantom the same as the 40 Freccia size wise?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Месяц назад +1

      The sizing between these models should be very close or almost identical. During production manufacturers will use the same last across the line to keep the sizing consistent. - Van

    I notice these boots and the tcx are used in motogp but the sidi mag 1 isn't. The sidi is lighter and looks better and more low profile so I'm wondering why it isn't in motogp. Is it lacking in some areas compared to this and the tcx and the supertech?

    Wow! I’m an Alpinestars kinda dude, but these look great! And like you mentioned most boots now are in the $500 range, but I might pick a pair of these up!

      The TCX model sells for $549 which is a lot more than the Phantoms which are well under $400. If you want to save the money and get an excellent pair of boots you will love the Phantoms. If you will only settle for a pure top shelf pair and have no issue spending almost $200 more go with the TCX or a pair of Alpinestars Supertech. Hope this helps, Van
