It's actually kind of insane that people (like myself) who spent $70 on the ultimate edition wont be getting the expansion pass for free...unsure if I'd be willing to put in another $30. I'm a huge Disney fan and a huge cozy game fan and the fact I spent that much money already on the SWITCH version that STILL crashes every 30 minutes makes me feel a taaad scammed.
That really disappointed me. A lot. I love the game, I still pay it daily and I was excited for new content. But at least us folks who bought the Ultimate Edition should get the expansion pass for free.
I knew there would be costs for expansion passes or paid DLCs and they made that clear as well but this is way to expensive. I mean I can understand it if the game were free but this is the cost of the game. I've never paid that much for a game I paid for and I've never put this much money into a game before there was an expansion pass. Then again I have a glitched game that their email basically says maybe we'll fix that glitch eventually then again maybe we wont so the game already had a bad taste in my mouth.
Me too. Given what we know now, if I could do it over I wouldn’t have bought the game personally. It’s a really cute game, but like you said, it’s buggy and they don’t seem to be fixing the Switch version. Which is the one I bought the same package you did for. Then the micro transactions are out of control! I was actually looking forward to being able to download it onto my husband’s PS5 once they took it out of early access, but now I can’t do that since I would have to buy the game a second time, and I’m stuck with the buggy Switch version. I am sure people will continue to love it, but we all deserved transparency.
The thing that bugs me the most is that they want all 3 let’s call them monetization pillars of modern video games: 1 paid base game 2 micro-transactions 3 paid DLC Video games typically choose 2 pillars & the community for that is tolerant. Going the route of all 3 is bold of them especially considering the cost of the premium items. I hope with this announcement we’ll see a reduction in premium store price but at this point I highly doubt it. Your hair is STUNNING btw 🤩
I completely agree! Plus DDV base game isn't worth the money. So many indie games charge half that and deliver double the gameplay. I really don't understand what they're doing. I guess they're just thinking they can charge whatever they want since it's Disney.
well said! once they released the ‘battle pass’ i kinda felt icky since it was still in early release but i did expect something like that upon full release bc it was going to be f2p. now tho???
Same. It wasn't quite my vibe, as I'm not a decorator, but a number of friends were into it, and every time there was an update, it got more and more skeevy and the less I wanted to play it.
Well said ! There’re so many smaller indie games (and cheaper !) coming out soon that interest me more + the ones already out. Having to pay for the game basically multiple times is really off putting to me.
The “micro transactions” in the game are easy to get if you get your chests weekly, and vote for Dream snaps (400 moonstones weekly). You also can get up to 12k moonstones weekly if you participate in the dream snaps challenge. The item shop also rotates so you have multiple chances to save on moonstones to get what you want…which is very reasonable.
@DCDuo1993 That's waaay to much time and dedication to a game that's supposed to be cozy and casual. They're definitely aiming for whales on purpose and they're not even hiding it at this point. The way the whole thing is set up isn't healthy at all.
Yeah, that's my thought exactly. I was only going to play it because it was going to be free. There's no way I'm spending $70 for a game and dlc and not have access to everything because stuff is locked behind a pay wall. Promising free to play and then saying they changed their minds is shady business.
It's so disappointing how they didn't keep their word especially for all the people waiting on FTP and didn't get to play the events as they came out or all the currency we missed out on..If they can't keep their word even though they kept insisting SO MUCH on this aspect what else are they going to lie about? It's like a slap in the face tbh one thing I hate is being deceived
Yes! Not to mention the fact that it's such an obviously bs excuse on their part. Disney is a corporation worth over $145 BILLION, with multiple other revenue streams! They're lying out of their ass when they claim money as the reason they "needed" to revoke their FTP promise.
I fully expect some extreme backlash. the fact they made that promise from the beginning and then made this announcement barely over a month before release is scummy. Especially when it has so many prevalent issues. I still havent been able to play the event because my game refuses to connect to live. And its not an issue on my side as everything has been checked. I've spent at least 100$ on the game and cant even make use of core mechanics? Getting ahold of support has been complete trash as all they say is 'its being worked on' for over 2 months now.
yes, this, they deserve the backlash because of the lack of transparency, you could've just announced it WAY earlier so people who want to play it got a chance to catch up since there's so much pay walling too!!
I do think it sucks that they changed up at the last minute but I personally think it's a better decision. All of the free to play games I've seen are way more preditory than DDV. I won't go over it in too much detail as I've already done so in other comments but fortnight changes their shop daily with expensive items and no way to earn more than 200 currency for free every few months, along with a premium battle pass and 2 subscription services. Destiny 2 is free to play but each story expansion is a $70 dlc and there's a paid for battle pass that you need to get new items Overwatch 2 is also free but charges players to play the main story that each chapter is only available for a limited time, charges players to play as all the characters, locks characters behind the limited time battle pass at level 40 which takes weeks to get to or you can pay to get them at level 1 and charges up to $60 for character skins with no way to earn free currency which they have 2 types of. One that you can earn but only works on really old skins and the other that you have to pay for but works on all skins unless they come in a bundle, quick obviously a lot of the good ones do. While it's scummy that Gameloft waited so long to make a statement, I think the game being pay to play and having $30 dlc instead of $70 dlc is a blessing in disguise. Especially since we can earn a lot of moon stones as it is
@@Moss_piglet13but most paid games don’t have such expensive micro-transactions as Dreamlight in the first place! That Ursula bundle, the starpath, the premium shop etc. And not everyone will get high rewards each week via dreamsnaps. That is a minority. Some weeks also have multiple new items. So they should be drastically reducing the prices, if not removing it completely.
I do hope they do receive backlash, this is the only way they'll start treating their audience in a slightly more humane way We aren't puppets and most of us are not willing to waste our money on such things when there are so many people, children and animals suffering without water, safety, food nor shelter.. This is where I choose to spend money whenever I can, at least up to some extent I'm actually helping
@@hisprincessprincess4916 the thing is they do treat us better than most free to play game companies. We can actually earn thousands of moon stones every week for free. Where fortnight you can only earn 200 every 3 months and the shop changes every day with things costing 2000+ and other games that I've listed in the comment before this. Any free to play game is way more cashgrabby than this.
@@justcrzy3578 I 100% would’ve bought it at release if they told us upfront it was a paid game, but I held off because I didn’t want to pay for something that was gonna be free. like you, I’m not bothering now because I feel like I’ve missed out on so much content that I could’ve been playing for a year
Yes, I just feel deceived cause I could've gotten the game WAAYY back to not lose so much progress. If they lie about something like this that they insisted on FOR MONTHS what will they lie about in the future? Their lack of transparency is so disrespectful, it feels like they saw their game being successful and they're just preying on people filled with Disney nostalgia and think that "they will buy anything Disney related anyway"
Yeah, I was waiting for F2P to give it a go but now I'm not even gonna try it. Such a stupid move on their part, especially since they will still be filling the game with microtransactions.
@@poisonedsodapop In a way I don't even know why I'm surprised since this is Gameloft and they're known for being even worse than EA. But this is a new low even for them
There are so many fantastic cozy games out now, I just don’t know how this is going to work out for them. It kind of reeks of the current Disney ethos of squeezing more and more money out of their most loyal fans.
I wonder if Disney themselves might step in and do something as, I never thought I’d say this, I kinda feel sorry for them. This isn’t their fault. This is all down to Gameloft. Disney just licence their properties to them. But people just seem the name Disney and blame them, so I somehow hope they step in and do something. Again doubt it.
@@charliefen We don't know if it's not their fault, it may have been a gameloft choice, it may come from disney, hell, it may be because of disney, we don't know how much they have to pay disney for the licenses.
@@bluester7177 but they would have known how much to pay Disney from the start, so that excuse we can’t count. We also know historically that Disney haven’t been involved in game development for years (I think Disney Infinity may have been the last, but may be wrong). Their development studio was Disney Interactive. Interestingly enough, it actually came up in an interview recently, as to whether they considered doing that again, but they seem to be content with just being paid for their licences right now. However, I can see them stepping in and threatening to withdraw or remove further support if this negatively impacts their image. That is the obvious downside in being hands-off. So basically this is on Gameloft, we know Disney have no involvement.
For myself, I already had one foot out the door with DDV, because of the microtransactions, and this was probably the push I needed to stop playing. I hate that there are so many paid functions and thats not really what I want in a cozy game. I had a feeling that DDV would never be free to play but it's really sad how long they took to announce it. I also agree with you that they most likely decided to do away with F2P a while back and just waited till now to maybe soften the blowback from its user base. There are alot of other reasons why I am walking way from DDV but to be honest, I'm just tired of all of the "issues", and there are a lot of other cozy on the market to try. Thank you for the breakdown in this video.
But the “micro transactions” in the game are easy to get if you get your chests weekly, and vote for Dream snaps (400 moonstones weekly). You also can get up to 12k moonstones weekly if you participate in the dream snaps challenge. The item shop also rotates so you have multiple chances to save on moonstones to get what you want…which is very reasonable.
if you do the dreamsnaps and do at least in the middle you won't have to pay for any of the items in the shop cause you'll have enough moonstones from dreamsnaps. lately I've benn getting. 1200-1500 a week I did have a couple of weeks where I got 4k but I haven't had to buy moonstones sense dreamsnaps came out.
@@Doyoungismyfave It is a lot to do, if you just want to play a game. Even when I was playing, looking for the daily chest was a pain when I had decorated.
Disney collects its percentage and character license charges. They have a liaison tasked with watching Disney’s monetary interests. Disney wouldn’t do this without making money.
@@Bluetanggbut this exact decision isn’t down to Disney. This is purely Gamesloft. Disney hasn’t directly been involved in games development for many years now, they just allow people to use their properties for a fee.
Thank you for being honest. Most of these people are still trying to lick the boots of company.... instead of being honest. What is to keep them from breaking any other word they have stated?
I’m fuming. I got it on Switch since I wanted to play it in bed and was waiting for it to release on PC for free so I can decorate more easily as it’s not the best with controls. If they’re gonna make it a “paid premium experience” then they should remove the microtransactions 🤡 Not sure if this was Disney or Gameloft idea but it feels incredibly greedy and manipulative
I’ve got hundreds of hours in DDV already but I won’t be plunking down more cash for expansions. There are too many super cool games coming out that I’d rather spend my budget on. Digital Cosmetics is not where it’s at for me.
Yup they knew for quite a while. They pulled an overwatch hero mission thing where they kept it secret as long as possible with no intent for it. Also a point against early access (as if there was need for another). They took all the data on how many and how much people are willing to spend in early access and used it against us.
I TOLD people this would happen! 🤦♂️ I'm convinced because they saw how many people were willing to pay for it to get before launch items and expansions they would pedal backwards and just slap the users waiting for it to be free on the wrist and told to buy it instead anyway.
I REALLY REALLY hope this game crashes and burns , people boycott playing it until the servers are almost empty To where Disney is forced to make it free to play with micro transactions. I HATE paying full title price for a crappy mobile game that's sure full of content bit it's also very broken. Either offer a physical version of the game to make the price make sense and stop making paid dlc expansion crap Or Make it a mobile game with micro transactions I hate that Disney is trying to milk this so dry and it technically isn't even out yet. Unlike her as someone that was waiting for this game to maybe be free eventually to try out I am completely willing to be negative
@@YourSweetSoty yes! This! When a payment is almost half the games price and you consider it "micro payments" I think they have issues there as well. It should be one dollar, five, ten max Buying stupid gems or extra time sure whatever But not changing for everything and labeling them as updates and dlc Knowing there will be 12 more of them each one priced different. I'm salty because I was a person waiting for it to be a free to play with micro transactions game like it was supposed to and I gave up a long while ago when all these RUclipsrs kept buying the "free game" Thinking I'll never get to play it now
1000% Agree, been saying this for months. The lack of transparency and arrogance these companies gain from the success of their initial releases is astounding. They keep trying to give us temporary coats of flashy paint when the foundation is crumbling/still broken. They need to focus on the core fundamentals of the game, improving the existing features, more bug fixes, Scrooge's shop is still a mess. Updating those things is what I want to see, not paid bonus content added onto a partially broken game. Gameloft/DDV devs have had a HUGE lack of transparency and it's very frustrating to see them just out of nowhere after a year be like "OH hi, btw sike on the game being free-to-play, it's not and oh yeah, we got new paid content coming, enjoy suckers!".
I ended up getting a refund on my ultimate edition from Nintendo. It was so broken for me that I quit playing waiting for them to fix it. They never did so I called into Nintendo for a refund. It's very disappointing to see it no longer be free to play, but with it being a Disney licensed game I see the writing on the wall. Of course disney will milk the money out of fans and will continue to do so until the end of time. I'm much happier not playing the game anymore 🤷♀️ but that's just me
@ReineDeLaSeine14 I just explained that the game wasn't what I expected it to be. I'm sure if you explain it will no longer be free to play like they promised, they will give it to you. I never thought I would get a refund but I read about a girl on reddit who got one for DDV and since I stopped playing months ago I thought why not try? Totally didn't expect it to be as easy as it was
I just don't understand where the developers' heads are with this. We've seen games with much smaller budgets pull off way more without charging people microtransactions. Games like Fae Farm, Wylde Flowers, and Coral Island are delivering a very similar visual quality with significantly better farming and life sim mechanics and little to no microtransactions. Plus the base games are so much cheaper. I held back all of my eyerolling around the microtransactions in DDV because of the assumption it would be FTP. Hearing it likely won't be, or at least won't be for a very long time just makes me wonder... what the heck are they giving players for $50 (or more) + microtransactions and how are they possibly justifying that?
They don’t need the micro transactions. They’re doing it because they know people will pay and they’re trying to milk as much money out of the game as possible. The big difference a lot of times between smaller studios and big ones like Disney, is that whilst I’m sure many of people working on dreamlight valley are passionate, the big bosses only care about profits and extracting as much profit from one product as possible.
What do you expect from Disney? The most capitalist company there is.. also one of the most racist and disgusting companies also.... just boycott Disney people, they are horrible, they always were, and always will be
Pretty sure I’m just going to skip it all together since there are still performance issues and I’m not paying for something that should have been free.
I find it a pretty wild argument that they're worried they won't make enough money to continue making a good game when it's a famous game practically EVERYONE knows about that can afford to be constantly promoted and featured, and the Disney company has a HUGE media empire raking in billions and (edit) Gameloft also rakes in literally hundreds of millions per year in revenue. All this, and they can't afford to just pick one form of monetization?
Honestly part of me thinks they went this way with monetization because they’re a huge corporation. It’s very text book behavior where they want profit and that’s it. It’s on par with their prices of the parks and merch items etc.
I just can't... I've stopped playing the Sims 4 for the EXACT same reason. This is a real shame though as I have enjoyed playing it, but there's no way I'm paying that extra amount unless it's heavily discounted ever (or on a 3rd party platform)
It’s really not okay to announce this over a year later 🙃 How has a F2P game now gone to paid base game, micro transactions and now paid expansions too?! It’s giving sims so as much as I was initially disappointed by this announcement, it’s probably made the decision to buy or not for me.😅
I just have to say, your hair turned out so good! Back to the video. The biggest disappointment is that they didn't just say months ago that ftp wasn't going to work if they wanted the game to have longevity and were looking at models to replicate. In the end they chose a Sims 3/4 model which obviously works to bring money in but I hope not every dlc will be $30.
The Sims works because it has been going for many years, there hasn’t been a real competitor and it has a loyal fanbase. I don’t think many games could use that same model now. I think they could have charged £30 for DLC had they gone free to play, but not with paid, that is too much. Announcing this at the same time was a bad move too, I want to know who does their PR, they need sacking 😂
@@charliefen Plus with the Sims, you aren't basically shown things they want you to pay for constantly while playing, listed in amongst items you don't have to pay for (looking at the star paths).
@@charliefenplus the sims made the base game for free and make consistent free updates and provide free content through the sims express, so players who don’t have the dlc don’t feel left out. Not to mention that modding the sims is basically encouraged to the point where you can get basically dlc stuff with a different coat of paint
They are committing the ultimate game sin, Day 1 DLC. They kind of slipped that in there and people forget because they been playing for a while but they are releasing their first DLC on their official launch day. So a brand new player coming in, first thing they see is the game is $40, but they can get a bundle with the first DLC for $70. Then after dropping $70 on a new game, the first thing they get to see is that there is a cash shop, battle pass, and quests(dream bundles) behind a paywall.
What I don't like as well is that it seems like Rapunzel, Eve and Gaston are in the expansion pass. They are in the same movies as free characters and I think it's so bad to "separate" them...
Even worse is that Rapunzel's tower and what I presume will be Gaston's Tavern were on the main artwork for the game's early access along with Belle, Stich, Buzz, WALL-E and Micky.
@@commodorelezmo574 And they never stated that a payment would be required to access parts of that, which they legally have to do, so assuming that Gaston and Rapunzel are paywalled they've committed a crime.
I completely agree and thank you SOOO much for saying it! Damn I wish more content creators had some integrity! And you put it accross beautifully. These decissions are ALWAYS about the money, however they try to 'dress it up'! What they realy mean is that after a year of trading they have crunched the numbers and figured out that Free to Play isn't going to get them the money they had hoped. The way they have done the pricing difference between Cozy and Gold is odd to! And ive always fely uncomfortable ar them adding a Premium Store item into the Cozy Edition? Was that to push the Gold Edition where they haven't and thus gently 'nudge' a person in that direction knowing that they likely already have the Purple Cottage? It's all unnecessrily convoluted for me, pergaps even incidious, and always maes me ask 'why'! Though thankfuly those of us that have already brought the game dont need to buy the Gold Edition. And by the way the Switch may have more issues than others but its NOT just Switch. I have had issues on my Series X Console! We need to stop excusing Developers!!! This game has been out a year as 'early access' and has more bugs than at launch, and I mean literal game breaking bugs! So its going into Full Access worse than it was a year ago! Why? Because nowadays 'Early Access' allows them to keep using that excuse as to why their games are buggy as hell because the dont put their resources into fixing their games but instead on 'how do we make more money'! I've always said that companies should NOT be able to charge fir a gae that they 'choose' to release early! At that point we are supposed to be their Games Testers (which companies used to have to pay people to do right? And most DEFINATELY they should not be abe to add more paid for content! And regarding transparency I also TOTALY agree. I have been saying how SUPER weird it was that we have a release date for a Hard Copy of the game (the Cozy edition) when the game is still in Early Access. I have several comments to that effect all over RUclips! I agree and think they made this decission a LONG time ago but didn't tell us! That is manipulative and NOT acceptible!!!
Well, we all saw this coming. I was absolutely sure they would back down on the free to play game. I just wish the prices were fair and they were actually honest lol Ofc that's not happening anytime soon. I really enjoy the game though.
@@aubrie8037 going to die anyways though. The people who bought this game because they knew it was going F2P will stop playing all together because they were lied to. They def won't be paying for anything after that. Unless of course you're rich and don't have a sense of actual value, then you won't care regardless.
I enjoy the game so much but I think it's just my child self loving it + the stardew valley type of gameplay kinda which is my favorite, but one thing I HATE is being deceived or lied to. This just felt like a slap in the face considering they kept insisting and talking about how this will be free at the end of this year. Like how can we trust them from now on?
I stopped playing when this Fairy Godmother came out because I saw how bad the micro transactions were and I was devastated so I stopped before I even considered spending £20 on an item
I can’t believe they can get away with this after putting it in writing multiple times in multiple places that it would be free. The outrageous price for the star path while still in early access already put a bad taste in my mouth about DDV but this just makes it so much worse. And then to charge for the dlc?? Disgusting. But also your hair looks so good!! I love it!
Ive been wanting DDV for a long time but ive held off on buying it because its super buggy and crashes too often. When i heard it would be becoming FTP i got excited. I figured id play it then...now they went back on their word with a lot of features that really only work in FTP games still installed. They are charging a ton of money for the base game and a ridiculous amount for dlc. I agree that if a core mechanic is decorating then keeping decorations behind a paywall is definitely scummy. Not fixing the game but focusing on DLC is mind blowing. They have to know these decisions will hurt the game. Which means they dont care about their fans at all. It reeks of contemporary Disney greed. Games like Stardew valley come out cheaper than any other farming/life sim and STILL update the game for free years later. Games like Genshin/Honkai Starrail are gacha games but stay FTP and dont paywall any progression in the game. When these options are out there and doing extremely well, its not like DDV cant be done better. Very upsetting overall. 😢😡
I really regretted buying on switch cause the playing experience was awful and I was so looking forward to it becoming f2p so I could finally download it on my pc and move my account over without paying for the game twice 😢 looks like I’ll probably never be playing this game ever again!
I'm kind of glad I lost interest in ddlv a few months ago, but I do also appreciate that it helped me through a difficult time in my life. Thanks for the informative video! I love the way you explain things ☺
This game turned into a broken, buggy, microtransaction hell. I uninstalled this months ago when they were trying to charge for reskinned backpacks. It’s quite morally bankrupt that this game is targeted at kids with such obscene prices. GameLoft being a mobile game developer and delivering such a buggy and overpriced product is not a shock to me at all. What I find surprising is that they think this game is ready to be taken from early access and not making it free to play when it’s already filled to the brim with microtransactions. People need to stop supporting this game because GameLoft don’t care about the community feedback let alone how bad their predatory pricing looks.
Looooove the hair! It looks really good on you. I knew when they upped the moonstones for dreamsnaps that some large transaction was coming. I was bent already about needing to pay for the Vanessa unlock (so I haven’t). If they eventually make the expansion so we can pay with moonstones, maybe I’d do it that way, but I feel like Ive already paid enough for the base game. Pay for game, pay for characters, and now pay for expansion… no thanks.
A lot of players are justifying the oathbreak from free to play to paid, and it really baffles me but also doesn't surprise me. Rampant consumerism at its best... or I guess worst. It's slimy and I'm glad I didn't invest too much into this game.
Yep. I’m effin’ pissed. I spent 80.00 for it on the PlayStation store. For the “ultimate version”. They expect us to fork out more money? Nope. Not only am I not doing that. I won’t be logging anymore hours. Like I’m sorry, do they not realize that people are struggling to make ends meet literally everywhere. It’s so out of touch and just basic corporate greed as with everything else.
Welp, I guess I won't be getting DDV. 😂 I wouldn't mind playing it for a nice cozy time, but I'm saving my money for Baldur's Gate 3, and a few other games.
@@chili9941 Seems like it. I was gonna get it for Steam Deck, but many have complained that act 2 and act 3 are not that great performance wise, and there's still no telling when exactly it'll come out for Xbox outside of "before the end of the year". So I'm just sitting and waiting. 🥲
I bought the game......... It doesn't change the fact that i can no longer enjoy the game because of the PAYWALLS FROM HELL. Now they want me to spend EVEN MORE FOR MORE CUT CONTENT SOLD BACK AS DLC!!!!!! LEAVE IT TO DISNEY TO RUIN EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF THEIR GREED. I stopped playing this game the moment they went on with their paywalls from Hell method. I don't like playing games that aren't finished or sold as conglomeration for a game that has a $60+ pricetag for point of entry. I stopped playing fire emblem because of the same reason. If i play a game and find that there is more to buy, then I'll go magpie minded and wan't to buy what i can, realizing that I still need to live off of what i have for the month and still myself, so to keep myself from doing that i can't have such games on my switch so i won't do that.
I agree! I think they knew the whole time that they weren't going to offer it for free. It's unnecessarily expensive, especially when it crashes so much on the Switch. It sucks because of course I'm going to want to play A Rift in Time, but I don't want to spend another $30 if the game is going to keep crashing the way that it does. They know people will still buy the expansion even though they're complaining now because we want more content. At this point, I think a lot of us have upgraded ALL of our characters to level 10 and don't have much else to do except when The Forgotten decides to randomly have quest for you 😏😅.
Oh wow! So annoying that they're charging us even more!! As someone who bought both the switch and PC versions, AND paid some real money for moonstones, I'm NOT happy that we basically have to buy the game again to get this next update. I'm assuming that people who play multi-device with their cloud saves would have to buy it twice as well. I think I'm done with this game for now :( I'll keep an eye on it and hopefully they change to more of a paid-game setup than all these stupid microtransactions. So disappointing.
I knew it was gonna be money grabbing trash, so glad I didn't waste my time or money. Disney messed up, could've been bigger than Animal Crossing but they were too greedy
Thank you! I feel like excitement for the new shiny items just completely distracted everyone from the actual cons still in the game, which is unfortunate.
I mean, the Sims has been pay walling decorative items for ages (even before Sims 4 became free). Plus I managed to "purchase" the Wall-e and Ursula content with the free moonstones acquired in the game. While I think those who bought the most expensive package when early access launched are being robbed by not being granted free access to the knew expansion pass,, as someone who purchased the lowest package at launch I feel I've received an exceptional amount of content over the past year.
I agree with how much content that comes out of this game i have no problem spending the $60-$80 for a game that I easily invested almost 1000 hours into it
In 2022 DLV made $53 million. Even when it was free to play they have a ton of content locked behind pay walls. I wish that if the game was not free they would take all of the extra micro transactions out of the game altogether. But I have a feeling they will be charging for the game and still continuing to charge for content & cosmetics. :(
I was waiting for this game to be F2P, but now that it's going to be paywalled, I'm not gonna bother. I'm not willing to spend so much money on a buggy game that would require me to spend even more money just to decorate, which is what the game is about most of the time. I don't think any game that costs more than $20 to buy should paywall anything. I don't mean DLCs and expansion; I mean core game mechanics. It's just not worth it.
My game had stopped crashing so frequently on switch for a while, but over the last couple weeks it’s been happening constantly again for seemingly no reason. I can’t believe I spent $80 on the game, there’s a $30 paid expansion, weekly premium shop items they want you to buy (even though I don’t), and the battlepass???? GIRLLLLLL
Triple dipping an initial purchase fee, microtransactions, and expansion passes is ridiculous. There is simply no excuse when full games can be funded on just one of these monetization methods. If you want a complete experience, they're going to try and nickel-and-dime you for hundreds until they strangle the community to death with their greed.
My issue is, they already went back on the BIGGEST promise they ever made, like it was NBD. What’s to stop them from going back on any other promises, including the promise to continue FREE updates? Yeah, nothing. They lied and have zero regrets having done so. They will have no issue going back on anything from here on out. And not giving ppl who bought the ULTIMATE package the new DLC expansion pass is wrong. Disney is just another money-hungry company screwing over its customers and lying to their faces as they ask for more money. I think I’m done.
I have been waiting for the game to get out of early access and hopefully less buggy on the switch but looks like that will be on the back burner . Thank you for your videos, they are always so helpful and you explain things really well, I appreciate you very much! And your hair is beautiful!
To be honest, I’m not surprised in the slightest. I put my foot down when I heard about this game and firmly said I would never play it, even if it was free to play. Disney has always had scummy tactics by overpricing bad quality goods a ridiculous amount. They prey on children and nostalgic Disney adults, time and time again by wrenching money out of them. I’ll watch their movies and enjoy them, but I will never buy their merch or any games they make. I fully expect they’re going to continue taking the sims route and release new paid DLCs periodically
Appreciate your thoughts about DDLV. I’m not convinced the update will be worth $30. That could be a whole game. A new game. I’m not happy with Palia either. Haven’t played for weeks now. Just seems more like work than fun. And there’s this underlying competition for resources and penny pinching by the devs. All the reworking of prices and such. But I am having fun with Fae Farm and Cities Skylines 2. And I think My Time at Sandrock may be good. There’s so much to play already!
My friend is really annoyed because she waited to get the game when it was going to be free, I bought in the first week because I needed something to play and I liked it. She's now annoyed she missed out on all the events because she waited expecting it to be free to play. It really feels like false advertising when they said at the start it would be free to play and DIDN'T include (this could change later depending how Early Access goes). Just feels scummy, but it's not going to stop me from playing it personally, I can enjoy a game and be annoyed with the developers.
Finally someone who points this out. I don't know why every channel has been such a shill so far. How is it acceptable to both have a paid game AND have micro-transactions inside??? If they totally removed moonstones and only used coins for the full release, I'd totally be on board with it not becoming F2P, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to tell my friends, "hey after you pay $30 for the base game, you have to pay for a premium currency in the game (I know it's not strictly necessary but it's still gross to even have it in the game after you paid for it), and oh, right, your fav chara is Rapunzel? You can get her, you just have to pay another $30 for an "expansion pass". Come join me!" I'm ok with mxtractions in F2P games, they have to earn money, and that's why I closed one eye so far. But really now?? I'm not ok with this.
I must admit I've been surprised by the overall positivity don't get me wrong I am or can be excited about the update, but I can't talk about that without first addressing this
@@Eeowna Subscribed! Thank you for your honesty and interaction with your subscribers, will watch some of your reviews and see if I can find a new cosy game.
The “micro transactions” in the game are items you buy with moonstones. They are easy to get if you get your chests weekly, and vote for Dream snaps (400 moonstones free weekly). You also can get up to 12k moonstones weekly if you participate in the dream snaps challenge. The item shop also rotates so you have multiple chances to save on moonstones to get what you want…which is very reasonable.
If they ever do become free to play at some point (doubt it now), I want nothing to do with it. I was waiting for so long, even wanted to start off as a streamer with this game. Can't do that now because they're a bunch of liars. Hope the many players they lost out on because of this switch was worth it. On the subject of Palia, I do have my gripes about it but it's a good game that I want to see improve in some aspects. October's almost over and the holiday season will be in full swing at midnight on November 1st, so maybe news about its Switch release will come soon.
They basically chose every single path to money possible: you pay for the game, then you pay for DLC, then you pay for cosmetics... Disney being Disney, who could have guessed. Still, what a disappointment when the only sould behind a game is aqueezing its players for coin. I liked this game when I tried it, but I am so glad I did not get fully invested and gave myself to Wylde Flowers and other same vibey games instead, that have given me nothing but joy.
You know what, I knew something shady would happen when the entire community let the team introduce micro-transactions into a paywalled early access experience. I haven't played, nor have the intention to return to the game since they did that, this just solidifies that decisions tbh.
I have the game on PC. My game has been broken since August. Game won't connect to online services, still not fixed. Their support is horrendous, pretty much said it's my PC turn told me to pay for a VPN to fix the online connect.... They won't even fix that and telling ppl to pay for VPN?!? I stopped playing that game cause thats just bad service/support
Even if you exclude the outrageous prices, the game in the currrent state just doesn't respect your time. And you deserve that especially in a game you pay full price for.
you're kidding... I've been waiting for it to release free-to-play, and this news definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth. the lack of transparency is super disappointing!
Oh boy this makes me so mad.. it feels like a greedy lie and almost like a scam. it’s a premium game now..yet they still also want all the micro transactions and dlc money too? I get that they are a company that has to make money but this just feels like they are exploiting players.
The thing about microtransactions is that they are NOT mandatory to the game! Yeah, the cosmetics and decorating aspect sucks, but you'll live. Yeah, a lot of the game costs moonstones, but there are ways to GET moonstones without paying real cash! Like I got $10 worth of moonstones from the Dreamscape alone! Everyone practically knew that this wouldn't be a free-to-play game, we knew they were gonna change their minds! Ironically, Gameloft had another Disney game where it cost $50 and is now suddenly free.
I honestly really dislike the argument that 'you don't have to buy micro transactions' as if there hasn't been a ridiculous amount of money funnelled into the human phycology of making them appear literally irresistible. Let alone how neurodivergent people struggle more. I don't always want to have to fight my brain every time I open up a game. Also you can't really blame the people who took a company at their word at launch haha
100% agree with everything you said about the game... Everyone is excited and I'm just over here still thinking about how I missed out on the Up balloon .. lol. This game is awesome but so expensive. :(
They should either have made it free to play with paid dlc or charged one flat price for a full game not free to play. As it stands this is an incomplete full priced game plus paid for dlc. Its a bit scummy.
Love the new color! I'm not mad that they changed their minds. Like you said, it's the lack of transparency that gets me. We've suspected for quite a while that it wasn't going free after all. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to scrap the free to play idea before they started adding micro transactions. It bothers me when we have to pay for a game, then they want us to keep paying them until they shut down the servers. I read a community post from another creator who apologized for telling people this whole time that it would be free and suggested people try Palia since it is actually free.
Now that you mention it, Disney has shut down servers for a lot of their games… how long do you think it will be til they shut down this server? I love Disney, but I’m really disappointed 😔
@@Cassirole7 As long as DDV is making money, there's no chance they shut it down. Unless maybe their license with Disney expires? Is that a thing in this type of game?
Wow, I feel completely let down. I was looking forward to playing the game as was my partner who loves Disney. But dropping £40 on the switch version that's bug city is not happening. We were holding out for this and i guess now we will be looking at a different game this Christmas. Thanks for your review it really helped me make up my mind! And just to say i love your videos. Completely relaxing.
This has also changed my mindset of playing the game. I paid around £25 for early access and didn’t mind all the bugs because I accepted that was the down side of early access and even then I knew it would eventually be a free game so I shouldn’t expect too much. It’s honestly not even worth £25 on the switch.
I was waiting for F2P to try this game out and I'm a little bummed that, since I refuse to pay for this buggy mess of a game, that I won't get to play it. When I stopped hearing DDV players talking about updates for when the game was going to be F2P, I started suspecting that it would remain a paid game, especially when the Disney racing game came out of EA and became free a little while ago. It also felt weird to me that EA players had to pay for what would eventually be a free experience. I can't imagine the backlash if an indie title tried to do this. I think DDV might get away with it to some extent because of the existing player base and the nostalgia, but I think a scandal like this could easily ruin a smaller studio. This seems like such a scam given all the bugs I've heard about (which are probably due to the devs being exploited and not really having the time to develop the game as they'd like to imo). I'd be curious to see the breakdown of where all this money is going. How much of it do the devs ACTUALLY get in comparison to the execs? I don't think I'd like the answer. Love the hair, btw. Purple for the win
Thank you for being honest... I'm a lil sick and tired of all those youtubers with those oh so positive vibes! -.- I totally agree with you 100%! Offtopic... LOVE your hair! and ur make up is incredible ♥
I do play on the Nintendo switch. My game has no issues, maybe I'm lucky. In the beginning it would crash often but that's it. I was never not able to finish quests, the game has always been enjoyable for me. For people who are considering purchasing it for the switch, I highly recommend it.
Same for me honestly! Sometimes it crashes, but I never really lose any of my progress. I just need to restart the game and then it works perfectly fine again!
Guuuurl that purple is everything. I love dark purple and blackish hair and the little bits of the bluish purple so nice. So sad when I got my braids done they didnt have the dark purple I love. I had to get red :(.
If they wanted it to be a paid game, then just make it a paid game. They cannot sit there and switch and bait. This is not only false advertising, but a DANGEROUS precedent for other companies to do the same if we as the customers don’t hold them accountable. There needs to be a full boycott of this game. I wish content creators would ban together and stop making new content praising or showing builds, and stop posting screenshots. Stop giving them the free publicity and start holding them accountable. You are one of the few people who actually talk about it.
I mean...I'm not VERY mad...the game is incredible which in turns makes me feel okay to spend money on optional cosmetics and dlcs that I feel I'd get additional enjoyment from. It is such a great game and had baldur's gate not consumed my soul recently, I'd be way over my 160+ hours of game play 👌
The addition of paid content in the form of moonstones and star path was fine when we knew it would be FTP but that should be removed now. It isn’t fair to expect people pay 70 dollars for a game then pay for extra content in game. Fall Guys and Fortnite are FTP so you expect to pay for decorative extras within the game. If you have paid for a game you shouldn’t also have to pay on top of the original price, it is pay-walling fans of the game out of being Alberto enjoy it fully. Seems like a scam.
I so feel like they did this intentionally & used the premium store plus the Wall-E & Ursula content to test the waters. They seen how many people enjoyed n spent the money on those things & made the decision for paid base game, paid DLC plus the micro transactions 😅 the saddest part is this game is targeted towards children..
I have regretted purchasing this game for months and they want us to pay them more. 😂 absolutely not. If I had bought this on steam I would have returned it last year.
I really would have been okay with $10-15 DLC every few months for major expansions that include new lands, new characters, new clothing & decor - it's honestly what would have made Animal Crossing New Horizons last for me. I am happy to spend money on games with continuous updates that keep me engaged with new content releases! I like supporting the teams that keep delivering new gameplay! But the steep prices here for so little content... Wall-E and Ursula expansions feel like a ripoff, and I'm concerned that this expansion will too. Back to Fae Farm for me I guess lol
"When a core game mechanic is to decorate, and you are paywalling decorating items, can you really claim that you're not paywalling core game mechanics?" Wow you hit the nail on the head. You're very right that it's different than outfits in a game like Fortnite. If I am paying $50-$70 for a game, it should come with everything. If it's FTP, then yes, I get paywalling the decorations. The sudden announcement that it won't be F2P is also a turn off. I thought about buying it for my daughter last Christmas, but decided to wait since it was supposed to go F2P earlier this year. Now that I know it's a paid game, I'm going to wait to see if they fix the issues. (Especially since we would be buying the Switch version.)
This is so disappointing. I literally held out from buying the early acces in anticipation for a finished free version. I shouldve know better to trust anything Disney put out because theyre just greedy. They act like theyre doing us a favor for keeping the paywall up for a clunky game. Nothing about this is "premium" just because they add more characters locked behind a dlc paywall. Most games have free updates so thats not a luxury theyre creating.
I’ve pulled back from this game due to the outrageous prices and lack of support of the core game but now I’m completely out. I spent $50 on the mid tier founder’s pack and I feel very let down. This was my first early access game I played but the lack of integrity from this company makes me wary to ever paid for an early access again. Very disappointed
This game, in concept, would've been a dream game. Like this game is something I would make if I was a game designer. But the way they've gone about development, mainly the pricing and switch quality...I am really disappointed and sad. I don't know if I can talk myself into buying the DLC. Heck, idk if I can even go back to playing the base game without a bad taste in my mouth.
If this is going to be a fully released paid game as of Dec 5th I really hope I no longer have to walk into an empty shop........ there are a lot of negatives with this announcement. They better just step up their game drastically with game improvements.
1) Your hair is amazing. 2)Disney Dreamlight Valley was developed on Unity, and that engine just upended the gaming development space by completely re-structuring the way they charge for use of their game engine. DDV is successful enough, as is GameLoft, to be impacted by this change, which could see 2.5% of GameLoft's monthly revenue from Disney Dreamlight Valley go to Unity. That is monthly REVENUE, not NET PROFIT. Live service games require significant monthly overhead to run which does not include the additional development costs required to create fresh content. Unity also has a monthly subscription price. Unity Pro costs $185/month/per license. GameLoft is already paying this (or at their size, hopefully a negotiated lower price per license), and now they have to pay runtime or engagement fees on top of this because they have a live service game which will need to continue to patch to new versions of the Unity engine. This JUST happened in September. I'm absolutely certain the Unity fiasco is why DDV will not be free to play, or at least plays a significant role in the decision.
Well, I've spent a year waiting for DDV to become free to play because I just can't afford it. I tested it on the game pass and absolutely adored it, but I had to stop my subscription due to financial issues. I've watched so many of your videos about it, lots of streams, I was so excited. I had to see this coming but I was hoping still.. This is all about money, and I've never seen a game with so many transactions and things to pay for, including DLC that's worth as much as the game itself. I'm miffed but it is what it is. Btw you’re absolutely stunning!
I feel that after The giant prices of the early access, the premium shop in a early access game and the storyes of Ursula and wall-e behind paywall, The fact that now we’ll also have a paid for expansion (30€!) it’s really too much. It already was but now it’s really too much. I think to let this game die.. don’t think i will play it anymore as far as this is sad for me because i loved it
I prefer to pay, because it's normal if I want more and more content (new characters, biomes, etc.). Many players forget that they don't work for free. So for me it's a good decision. But I understand if people are upset after one year if they wanted for free.
I think my issue is it’s got so many f2p mechanics in it I’d be far happier if they focused fully on the free content and paid dlc, rather than so many other paid elements
Agreed!
👍
The thing that bugs me the most is that they want all 3 let’s call them monetization pillars of modern video games:
1 paid base game
2 micro-transactions
3 paid DLC
Video games typically choose 2 pillars & the community for that is tolerant. Going the route of all 3 is bold of them especially considering the cost of the premium items. I hope with this announcement we’ll see a reduction in premium store price but at this point I highly doubt it.
Your hair is STUNNING btw 🤩
Yo, GREAT comment but you actually miscounted 😁
1. Base game cost
2. Micro transactions
3. Battle pass
4. Expansions
I completely agree! Plus DDV base game isn't worth the money. So many indie games charge half that and deliver double the gameplay. I really don't understand what they're doing. I guess they're just thinking they can charge whatever they want since it's Disney.
Yep and it’s only going to get worse over time as they bleed players dry
@@brees3 Yep there’s too many awesome cozy games coming out that are paid with no microtransactions that I’d rather support instead
well said! once they released the ‘battle pass’ i kinda felt icky since it was still in early release but i did expect something like that upon full release bc it was going to be f2p. now tho???
I'm glad I didn't get into it. A paid game WITH microtransactions? Nope.
I was so hoping it would be free to play
Destiny 2 is free to play but each story expansion is a $70 dlc and there's a paid for battle pass that you need to get new items
Overwatch 2 is also free but charges players to play the main story that each chapter is only available for a limited time, charges players to play as all the characters, locks characters behind the limited time battle pass at level 40 which takes weeks to get to or you can pay to get them at level 1 and charges up to $60 for character skins with no way to earn free currency which they have 2 types of.
I do hope they do receive backlash, this is the only way they'll start treating their audience in a slightly more humane way
We aren't puppets and most of us are not willing to waste our money on such things when there are so many people, children and animals suffering without water, safety, food nor shelter..

"So many fantastic cozy games out now" Yup. Sure are. And almost all of them are under $30.
Thank you for the breakdown in this video.

if you do the dreamsnaps and do at least in the middle you won't have to pay for any of the items in the shop cause you'll have enough moonstones from dreamsnaps. lately I've benn getting. 1200-1500 a week I did have a couple of weeks where I got 4k but I haven't had to buy moonstones sense dreamsnaps came out.

Technically gameloft but this is so greedy
Disney collects its percentage and character license charges. They have a liaison tasked with watching Disney’s monetary interests. Disney wouldn’t do this without making money.
RIGHT. 😂 Sadly saw this coming months ago.
@@Bluetanggbut this exact decision isn’t down to Disney. This is purely Gamesloft. Disney hasn’t directly been involved in games development for many years now, they just allow people to use their properties for a fee.

I’m fuming. I got it on Switch since I wanted to play it in bed and was waiting for it to release on PC for free so I can decorate more easily as it’s not the best with controls. If they’re gonna make it a “paid premium experience” then they should remove the microtransactions 🤡

Yup they knew for quite a while. They pulled an overwatch hero mission thing where they kept it secret as long as possible with no intent for it.
Also a point against early access (as if there was need for another). They took all the data on how many and how much people are willing to spend in early access and used it against us.
This^
that's what I thought as well, it's like they saw how much some people were willing to spend and thought "yeah we're keeping that"
I TOLD people this would happen! 🤦♂️
I'm convinced because they saw how many people were willing to pay for it to get before launch items and expansions they would pedal backwards and just slap the users waiting for it to be free on the wrist and told to buy it instead anyway.
I REALLY REALLY hope this game crashes and burns , people boycott playing it until the servers are almost empty
To where Disney is forced to make it free to play with micro transactions.
I HATE paying full title price for a crappy mobile game that's sure full of content bit it's also very broken.
Either offer a physical version of the game to make the price make sense and stop making paid dlc expansion crap
Or
Make it a mobile game with micro transactions I hate that Disney is trying to milk this so dry and it technically isn't even out yet.
Unlike her as someone that was waiting for this game to maybe be free eventually to try out I am completely willing to be negative
Let's add the "micro transaction" are too expensive to be considered "micro".
@@YourSweetSoty yes!
This! When a payment is almost half the games price and you consider it "micro payments" I think they have issues there as well.
It should be one dollar, five, ten max
Buying stupid gems or extra time sure whatever
But not changing for everything and labeling them as updates and dlc
Knowing there will be 12 more of them each one priced different.
I'm salty because I was a person waiting for it to be a free to play with micro transactions game like it was supposed to and I gave up a long while ago when all these RUclipsrs kept buying the "free game"
Thinking I'll never get to play it now
A lot of places didn't say it was Early Access so a lot of people wouldn't have purchased it if they had known
@@tammypi6877 I kept hearing people say the game technically wasn't out yet so I assumed the opposite and thought people knew
I'm much happier not playing the game anymore 🤷♀️ but that's just me
@queenoffairies08 Do you have the number for Nintendo to call?
That’s incredible considering how rare it is for Nintendo to refund purchases
Bigger company, bigger team, better advertising, Disney brand/Disney backing them.
The most capitalist company there is.. also one of the most racist and disgusting companies also.... just boycott Disney people, they are horrible, they always were, and always will be
I thought they also promised not to lock any character behind paywall but this expansion looks like that isn't true
I remember that too
they said they woudn't put a character whos apart of the main storyline behind a paywall. this is a dlc pass
@@stacee7348 is that not a paywall? Like Eve has been talked about a lot, in-game, she is a main character at this point.
They never promised that. From day one they said they would be selling expansions that include characters, quests, ect.
Not surprised, however since this change I would like for Custom Content to be allowed in the game since it’s no longer F2P
It’s not Disney who is making the game. Game loft has to purchase the rights for all the characters
@@DoyoungismyfaveCan’t speculate their contracts but there is no way Disney would sign off their rights unless they get royalties perpetually, no?
I just can't...
I've stopped playing the Sims 4 for the EXACT same reason. This is a real shame though as I have enjoyed playing it, but there's no way I'm paying that extra amount unless it's heavily discounted ever (or on a 3rd party platform)
I’m seriously so upset I wasted so much time and money
at least Sims 4 has mods
It’s really not okay to announce this over a year later 🙃
How has a F2P game now gone to paid base game, micro transactions and now paid expansions too?!
It’s giving sims so as much as I was initially disappointed by this announcement, it’s probably made the decision to buy or not for me.😅
I'm glad I never bothered with this game. I'll just keep waiting for Coral Island.
You will definitely get better value for money
@@charliefen So true! All this info should have been shared over 3 or 4 announcements not 1
@@charliefenplus the sims made the base game for free and make consistent free updates and provide free content through the sims express, so players who don’t have the dlc don’t feel left out. Not to mention that modding the sims is basically encouraged to the point where you can get basically dlc stuff with a different coat of paint
@@Echoingsunflowers981 The Sims isn't free when it first comes out though.
@@FrogglesMcBogglesno they haven’t. They told us since the beginning that their would be dlc and also free content updates
Microtransactions in a £45 game. Hell No.
Well, we all saw this coming. I was absolutely sure they would back down on the free to play game. I just wish the prices were fair and they were actually honest lol Ofc that's not happening anytime soon. I really enjoy the game though.
It's way more fair than the Disney Speedstorm shop , I'm glad they kept DDV paid because they would have killed the game going F2P
If it’s remaining a paid game then they need to remove the shop
Me too 😭 just too many other games I can enjoy whilst saving for others 🤷🏼♀️
and let me telll you baldur's gate is worth EVERY penny and then some
@@chili9941 Seems like it.
At this point, I think a lot of us have upgraded ALL of our characters to level 10 and don't have much else to do except when The Forgotten decides to randomly have quest for you 😏😅.
which i still haven't gotten the damn black raven picture of their first quest. cannot find the damn bird anywhere...
This is why i passed on getting Disney Dream Light Valley
Good call
Wish I had passed. Done with it now.
I wish didn't buy into the hype when it was first released. I spend $100 on the ultimate pack and regret it everyday.
I knew it was gonna be money grabbing trash, so glad I didn't waste my time or money. Disney messed up, could've been bigger than Animal Crossing but they were too greedy
@@aleesha5579 same..... It was so glitchy on the switch I only played it for about a month
Thank you! I feel like excitement for the new shiny items just completely distracted everyone from the actual cons still in the game, which is unfortunate.
Yet another way Disney disappoints us. I can't say I'm surprised but I guess that means I won't be playing it anymore. 😅
It's not Disney it's gameloft and they have families to feed and nothing in life is for free
@@jerseygirlprincess0823Oh my god this is such a naive take on the situation.
Could not agree more! I see no issue in how things are being done moving forward in DDV.
I love the hair so much!!! The galaxy color looks so good!! ❤
I was going to buy this soon and I'm so happy I didn't, this whole thing feels very scammy and predatory to me.
Pretty soon it will be cheaper to go to real Disney than digital Disney hehe
I better save up then
My game had stopped crashing so frequently on switch for a while, but over the last couple weeks it’s been happening constantly again for seemingly no reason.
And your hair is beautiful!
it's better
but idk if it's $40 worth of better ya know
To be honest, I’m not surprised in the slightest.
I just need to figure out how to get cs2 to run well on my pc lmaooo
Is Palia not free to play?
Havent played since around the Wall E dlc, probably wont pick it back up again. the morals of this company are dissappointing at best
Come join me!"
I'm ok with mxtractions in F2P games, they have to earn money, and that's why I closed one eye so far. But really now?? I'm not ok with this.
I must admit I've been surprised by the overall positivity
don't get me wrong I am or can be excited about the update, but I can't talk about that without first addressing this
@@Eeowna Subscribed!
I wish i could get a refund now. I literally only bought it because i was going to have it be f2p and i could play with my sisters
It is Disney, they need every penny they can squeeze out of the last remaining fans they have.
They want to keep it paid to deliver a premium experience when the game isnt a premium experience to begin with, with the bugs that are still present.
Honestly, I'm glad I'm not a Disney person and never got into it because this would have really disappointed me
This has also changed my mindset of playing the game.
I totally agree with you 100%!
Ditto. I was surprised to hear so many Switch players having issues still. Mine’s been good for the last few updates
I knew this was gonna happen…lol….its Disney AND Gameloft. Not surprised, honestly.
I’ve been obsessed with BG3 too haha
I was waiting to play for when it became F2P. I 100% thought that they were going to follow through on that promise, so I'm very disappointed.
Congrats on 100k bestie!!!!!!!!
Thank you!!
I'm not a Disney fan and this is one of the reasons why.
I think my issue is it’s got so many f2p mechanics in it
I’d be far happier if they focused fully on the free content and paid dlc, rather than so many other paid elements
@@Eeowna it’s could be great too. So, I also understand your point of view yes 😕
