A buddy of mine and I both bought the Ria 5.0E. This RIA5.0e is definitely worth the $ for everything you're getting. The gun feels and shoots amazing. Comparing it to my other buddy's Alien, having shot them both, they feel very very similar, imho

So you have shot both!? If you had to pick only one, based on everything cost, feel, availability, which one would you pick?

@JohnMcClain , I think the trigger is better on the Alien. It's definitely lighter, but they both reset about the same. This may sound crazy, but I own a lot of high-end firearms and I would pick the RIA5.0E over the Alien

Our hope is that the 5.0E makes people see RIA as maybe a serious Mid-Field company instead of the “budget friendly only” company.

👋 from Cedar city. I bought a first production run and LOVE IT. Going to the factory tomorrow to get some of the new goodies they revamped for the E.
I don't have any experience shooting competition but I'd like to give it a go with this gun!

Hi John. Really liked your 3 videos on the RIA 5.0E. I'm very interested in buying it (having done most of my research). 3 important, inter-related questions for you, please, as I shoot ALL of my 1911/2011 style pistols with a Slide Stop Thumb Rest / Gas Pedal.
Given that the 5.0E has such a revolutionary design ...
    1) Is its from-factory slide Slide Stop (both the Pin size & the Link-Up part of it to the gun internals to the right of the pin) a completely traditional 1911/2011 style ... fully in-keeping with has been 'industry standard' for 1911/2011s for Slide Stops ?
    and
    2) If a "yes" to the above question #1, would you think (I know you can't guarantee - but your best opinion, please) that the following versions of aftermarket 1911/2011 slide stop thumb rests / gas pedals would work easily / slide right into the RIA 5.0E (Aemann Tech, NitroFin, Double-Tap) ?
    3) Even better, do you know of any 5.0E customer testimonials / photos / feedback of owners actually using their 5.0E with a 'gas pedal' ?
In advance of your reply, THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

@@JohnMcClain Hi, John. Thank you for the prompt response. YT is my only (literally) social media. But my wife has now sent you my contact info via FB message. I'll be (mostly) free this 3-day holiday weekend for a quick discussion with you about the RIA 5.0E - and my main question. And I'll call you back pretty readily if I can't pick up at first. MUCH APPRECIATED !

The gun looks good, the attention to detail gets lost in the grip. The upper is overall an impressive design. I will wait to buy until grip is improved. (Thumb, finger groove)

Got to check it out at SHOT. Looks pretty cool!

I've got a numbered 5.0 gun with Red Dot. It's a nice gun, but the trigger is squishy. I had significant extraction issues, but it seems to run better now that I have replaced the extractor spring and extractor. Does the E have a better trigger?

We made a few minor improvements, but it’s not night and day difference more like night and later that night LoL

I purchased the first version. Huge let down. Innovative, yes. And that's it..

What happened that was such a negative experience with it?

@@JohnMcClain Don't get me wrong. I just expected more. With the square barrel and tight tolerances. Accuracy is just ok. The trigger is light. But the trigger reset is ridiculously long. Similar to Khar pistols. Had to send the Ria in because one of the pins kept walking loose. Customer service was easy to work with.

It's a cool concept but not worth 1500. I've shot an alien and it was different but no way am I buying one. I shoot a ria better than either but that's all trigger time. Love their products but will never buy another due to their customer disservice.

Do you mind me asking what happened?

Spent three months with them not answering a question and closing help tickets when it could have been answered in thirty seconds. I wanted to know the frame height difference between both 9mm double stack frames so I could mill off the difference and add the magwell to mine
