The best version of that song
Vanessa surprised me with this version of this classic which became in itself a classic.
Even since '96 when I first heard this version by Vanessa, I have to hear this song or it just doesn't seem like Christmas to me. Truly a classic if ever there was!
Same here. I play her Christmas CD every year in my house.
I totally agree with you! Playing this now. It is not Christmas until I hear this ❤🙏🏼🎄
Agree. Actually I'd go farther and say this is the best holiday/Christmas track I've ever heard. Nearly 30 years and counting.
Yes! I've been hooked on it since '92! A fave for sure!:) ❤

Would anyone happen to know who directed this video? I have the Very Special Christmas DVD, but it doesn’t have any credits for the videos! My guess would be Melodie McDaniel (only because it’s so similar to her later work in the Carnival video she did with Natalie Merchant, and Secret for Madonna, but I’ve searched and searched to no avail!!).
Her backup band is reminiscent of The Doors IMHO especially at the very end
