I have bought this Bosch Microwave oven and it is so easy peasy to operate.semi Automatik and Auto Pilot cooking Programmes.. lovely for Jacket potatoes 😊warming, cooking and heating food in a jiffy.the peeptone is a Tad too loud..not bad at all to know when food is ready to eat.. lovely in Combi with the Bosch Compact dishwasher.😊
Just upgraded to this from an older Bosh model of similar size. I don't particularly like the touch-only control surface instead of physical buttons on this one though I suppose it makes it easy to wipe clean. Also, the control panel labels on the stainless steel/black model are VERY hard to see if the oven is in a dark part of the kitchen (they aren't backlit). In hindsight, the white model might have been a better choice in my case but it doesn't look as cool. ;) The new addition of defaulting to 800W when you dial in the time is a nice usability feature. I had to choose wattage every single time with the previous model. Also, the interior LED is a lot dimmer on the new model compared to my old model. The dark interior also adds to the dimness. I would still prefer it this way as it presumably consumes less power now. A nice new feature is that if you leave the door open after cooking to help the condensation dry, the light dims after a few minutes. On the whole, very happy with this model. The stainless steel/black version is very classy and looks a lot more expensive than it really is.
Interestingly, according to the manual, this microwave requires 10cm clearance on the left hand side and that’s it. Most microwave manuals state that a 10cm air gap is required on both sides, 10cm at the back and 20cm at the top (30cm if it has a grill). Also, this model appears to be the same (in it’s core) as the series 2 built in microwave costing £400 ish. So, i think…if you want to follow the instructions; this microwave can be used in a more confined space than anything else. (Assuming you buy this version, rather than the one with a grill, which is more widely available). On the other hand, i doubt many people read the manual or observe clearance instructions.
You are correct that all microwaves need space around them for an air gap, but most people don't read the instructions so are not aware of the distance required around it.
Does the touch control/dial section has a protective film that should be peeled off? Mine is peeling off at the top edge, but I am not sure if it is meant to stay or go. Your advice would be appreciated.
I noticed that the fine Film was Peeling Off at the corner so I very carefully pulled IT off completely.now the Blender Buttons Work much better.I noticed this thin transparent Film also in my Exquisit countertop dishwasher Buttons.I removed IT completely and IT works much better now.I Hope this hint will help.you must also See the Basic Installation and ready instructions Always before you start to use any electric appliance,AS nowadays, every thing IS digital Modus..lol.😊❤️
I wanted to do this too, only just ordered mine but saw Bosch state you can on the touch pad ones but not for the end beeps, pity as I wanted to turn the volume down when using late at night.
I like your channel is uk related. Would you consider reviewing an Ember smart mug are they worth the cost? Considering as a Xmas present. And an indoor/tabletop grill/bbq would be interesting way for family/social occasion. Thanks
It has one very low powered LED light on the right side of the oven. Not as bright has previous models but consumes less power. I'd take the latter, personally. Also the interior is dark, rather than white, which reflects less lights and makes it less bright.
Is this microwave supposed to be making a sound like it's still microwaving the food when you press Stop Button or Open the Door half way through it microwaving the food? I read somewhere its the Fan keeping the food warm but im a bit skeptical. The last microwave I had before this one did the same thing so I sent it back, but now this one's doing the same thing. I've moved it to other plug sockets so I know its not my plug socket. The microwave I had before those two was one from around 2019 I believe and that one always stopped instantly. So is there anything wrong with this new one if it sounds like it's still microwaving when I've stopped it?
@@VoiceofFox Yeah, this is the first microwave I've had that does this. To me it really sounds the same as when it's cooking compared to the fan cooling. So I was sceptical if it was still cooking even when the timer ended.
Thanks 👍 Missing to see it in action. Sound, light inside, beep (made for death people only?). Ill find many microwaves really, really annoying with too loud and hysterical beeping sounds. So hard to find some with decent sounds/sound off.
The beep can be turned off. The default 30 secs of beeping when cooking finishes is ridiculous. It can be changed to 3 seconds, which should be the default. My last Bosch did this too. This model now makes the same 'finished' beeps as my Bosch dishwasher which is a bit confusing.
@@VoiceofFox 😅 at least not a melody like Samsungs washing machine. Thanks a lot, really nice information about beeping. It's so annoying that the brand company's always play music on their product videos and never let you hear how loud it is - and how annoying beepings can be (they don't dare 🙄🙃).
It DOESN'T do 600W, 360W etc. it only uses 800W intermittently. This means I can't use it as my solar-panels need lower wattage appliances. I had even rung Bosch before I bought it to check, but was wrongly informed.
Mine is randomly resonating now after 6 months... not impressed with build quality. Microwaves costing only 1/4th don't have any problems resonating noises, never encountered this behaviour before.
@@Ferrodium Not every product is made by them, not for European/UK market. They have no microwave factories and have had a long relationship with Panasonic anyway. Also, for example some fridge freezers are rebranded Hisense models.
The Bosch Microwave oven that I bought a few days ago says Made in China.I supposed with American technology. It IS digital with pre Programmes and Sensors in it.just fantastic.

Really like your review, you are giving all the proper measurements and show how the time selection actually works

It's meant to be pulled off. It's just to protect the control panel during packing/shipping/unpacking.
Is it possible to mute the beeping sounds when you press buttons?
Yes you can do, if you have the instructions it is on page 12 as its quite long winded
I wanted to do this too, only just ordered mine but saw Bosch state you can on the touch pad ones but not for the end beeps, pity as I wanted to turn the volume down when using late at night.
Thank you, a really good clear guide through the microwave.
No problem glad you found it interesting 😀

Sounds interesting will look our for that. Thanks for the feedback
Does it have an internal light and can you see through the door when food is cooking? Also what type of grill does it have halogen or bar?
Internal light is as good as useless. Cant see inside when cooking

Can you review a Henry quick?
Does it have defrost function?
Yes, the 90 watt setting.

It's the fan cooling the machine down after cooking. All Bosch microwaves I've had do this. It's by design, not a fault.

It does sound strange, I would contact Bosch or the retailer to see what can be done
Bosch microwave ovens are usually made by Panasonic, but this one might be from a different supplier.
Thats straight up not true. Bosch in form of BSH Group makes their own products in their own factories.
