    Hey Everyone! I hope you enjoyed! As you saw, these sprinklers fill a gap in the market for those who want the concept of a sprinkler system without spending the extra time and money. Perfect for Lawns 5,000 sq. ft or less.

    Great video Jake. Installed them in my sons lawn last year. He had good water pressure so we used a water timer on the hose bib then attached a hose "T" on the timer an attach two hoses with quick connects. ( Using fabric type hoses , Zero G) He attaches the hoses at night to water his lawn very early the next day. Been working great! Thanks for bringing this sprinkler to others attention.

    I actually use these for a 20,000 sq ft. lawn, and it's fully automated. What you can do is connect a 4-zone timer ($50 at Home Depot) to your hose bibb outside. I have a hose bibb on each side of the house, so I got a total of 8 zones (but you can connect two timers to one hose bibb using a hose splitter). Each sprinkler requires 30 psi, so I adjusted my water pressure at home to over 60 psi to be able to use 2 sprinklers at a time for each zone. All you need to do is buy enough hoses to connect all the sprinklers, and you're done. You can even convert this to a DIY in-ground system by simply burying the hoses. Highly recommend this product.

    I have 5 zones underground in the front and side yards, but yesterday I cobbled up a portable sprinkler using a Hunter head and some 3/4” PVC fittings and a brass 3/4” FPT to 3/4” FHT adapter from Lowe’s. A couple of hose clamps hold it to a piece of angle iron. It worked great for my backyard!

    I plan on getting the ones that cover 5000 sq ft and a side/end one. Then I plan on getting smart water timers and just have the hoses attached all spring/summer. End of season roll up and put away. This way I won’t have to disconnect and reconnect each hose.

    I just found Jake and the LCN a few days ago to improve my lawn, and I've been using these for years and love them. Especially being blind, readjusting streams is made harder since I can't see them, and need to go stand in them to get a good idea. so set and forget works for me. What is also great is I am resizing my lawn this year, so I need to move the sprinklers. made much easier with quick-snaps. and I am even getting into different nozzle angles and flow rates. These things are great!!

      I read those "reviews", but they are not actually reviews because they don't say anything. No one has commented on why they don't like the product, so I think it's inconclusive. With the way people down grade products based on shipping or seller issues, which have zero to do with the actual product or company that makes it, I wouldn't trust those crappy reviews; not even the couple of good ones.

    What's the point of an underground sprinkler if your hose is above ground?

    • @JakeTheLawnKid
      @JakeTheLawnKid  3 года назад

      It's so that if you want to use it as an spicket operated sprinkler system all the heads are pretty much in place and all you have to do on the watering days is quick connect the hose to the sprinkler. No need to adjust as you would with full above ground sprinklers. That makes it the perfect hybrid between the two.

    How much does the mower bounce over the heads if they line up with the wheels when mowing?. Do you just slide over a bit to keep from snapping them off or what?. Do you need to blow them out for winter?. Seems like a good solution for those not wanting to dig the entire yard up but have a few questions.

    • @JakeTheLawnKid
      @JakeTheLawnKid  4 года назад

      The tires don't bounce top much. But, generally, I like to keep the head in between the wheels just to be safe. Last thing I need is a leaky head.

      Have the same issue for a friend, tried to set something up above ground, sprinklers gone the next day. I don’t think installing PVC DIY is all that more expensive when you factor in the theft. If you are doing a simple one-zone system and are willing to trench it yourself, it’s the labor that drives up the cost, not the PVC parts. You can attach to a programmable water timer on your faucet and connect with a short piece of garden hose the the PVC system instead of messing with in-ground valves and controllers. Set the water timer/hose connect out of view from the street so it does not walk away. Or use a longer piece of hose and connect to a faucet/timer in the back or side yard out of view.

Do you have any additional thoughts on this to improve? Thanks.
