Thank you for putting up the left handed version. I am a beginning knitter in my 50s, so I am very late to this game, I am very much aware! However I do think once I get a bit more skilled I will be able to look at right handed people and reverse it and read patterns without getting confused, but right now I need the reversed visual. It's a big help. I am knitting this dishcloth now, and while my eyelets don't all look exactly as they should, I am going to practice it over and over until they do!
That's great Sharon! I always post both versions of all that I do in knitting & crocheting. You have to be twice as smart being left-handed in a right-handed world (in my opinion). And for the record, I didn't learn to knit until a few years ago (in my 50's too)! No, it's never too late.
Thank you I am trying to teach my Special Needs daughter to knit (she cannot get her head around crochet) and she is knitting a scarf (garter stitch - not enjoying it). I think your videos may help her. 🐨🐨
I hope they work for you both Lesley! Perhaps if she still isn't enjoying this, maybe try again in a few months or next year? My daughter (who also occasionally designs crochet) had to do that. Took years before the passion took hold of her.
BonnieBayCrochet there is definitely a fascination there as she keeps asking to be taught. I really think I need to find something that is simple yet stimulating for her. Thank you.
Yes, this is the mirror image of the original, but it is using the Continental Method of knitting. This utilizes the same muscle memory used in crocheting.
Sorry for the delay Barbara. This didn't show up in my feed for some reason. I bought these on-line from knitpicks.com. Here's a link: www.knitpicks.com/options-interchangeable-rainbow-wood-circular-knitting-needle-set/p/90306
