- We didn't know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by this unique and beautiful vessel! Here is our Day 1 experience. Oh, and please don't ask what the dishes are... I can't remember! I do remember that they were DELICIOUS!!!! Oh, and you can't go wrong with ANY of the soups... they are superb!
I did the Crossing with Queen Mary2 from 14.08 -23.08! The Farewwell in Hamburg was incredible. I had an wonderful time , met do many nice people! My favorite Spot was the Lion Pub!
Yes, the Lion seemed to always be hopping! My parents are on the QM2 RIGHT NOW, going around the UK! I think they hit Edinburgh yesterday.

Lovely video! I have sailed twice on QM2 - two transatlantic crossings .. she is such a wonderful ship.
She really is! My parents are taking QM2 on a trip around the UK in just about a week and a half, and it will be their first time! They are looking forward to it. (The older lady in my videos is actually my mother-in-law!)

I took the QE II from Southampton to New York (long ago now...) and it was great! - trying to convince my other half to take the Queen Mary 2 back from the UK some day - work in progress...

I remember the first time I stepped on board… QM2 is such an elegant ship
It truly is! I was blown away. I have heard some say it is outdated, but I believe it offers an old-world (or classic Hollywood?) elegance!
Wish I could have heard the violins playing and the atmosphere instead of background music.
I did one night in April 2023, supposed to do the Transatlantic but the cruise was cancelled because the ship broke down. Having another try in October 2024
I think you will enjoy the Transatlantic... there was SO much to do! It seemed like each hour there were about 2 or three events provided! There was no way I could do it all! We only scratched the surface.

We left Southampton, UK on June 9 2024 and arrived in New York on the 15th, I believe!
So depressing I can't go
Maybe you will in the future! It was much more affordable than our Viking cruises (although we do love Viking).
