Just trying to figure out that she isn't locked in her room and isn't insane requires a ton of searching. Considering ZUN is so vague she only appears about maybe four times or so in game and manga.

@@youkaiphoenix4236 Flandre is actually locked in her room according to "Hansoku Tantei Satori" (official Touhou comic). Not that the lock does much good as she breaks it without any effort. When Sakuya asked why she quietly stayed locked up until now Flandre's answer was: "I wouldn't say I was 'locked up'. The sunlight doesn't reach down here. I get food and everything else brought right to me. It was just comfortable, that's all"

Patchouli said in the extra stage "I don't have time for this... First, the little sister, and now you." which would imply that Flandre was acting up. And again, the manga was written by ZUN. Also I'm not sure what you mean by translation errors.
